This was the best curry me and my partner have ever had! On holiday to Exmouth and ordered in person. Had a Lamb Pathia and a Chicken Jalfrazi. The service was amazing and we only waited for 10 minutes. The meals, plus Pilea rice, 1 huge garlic naan bread and 2 complimentary poppadoms with dips only came to £26. Firstly, there was enough food to feed an army. The dip for the poppadoms was amazing! The lamb melted in your mouth, the best I've ever had in a curry. The chicken pieces were huge and tender and the curry itself felt very fresh and full of vegetables, really amazing. The nan was huge, thick and lots of garlic. I wish I lived in Exmouth. We will be back next year. Thanks again for the amazing meal guys!

Absolutely fabulous food! We are vegetarian and find sometimes restaurant food lacks flavor but Indian Ocean is amazing!! The food is excellent quality and my favorite is the saag paneer which they make it PHALL hot for me my husband loves the veggie vindaloo they are both absolutely delicious, the portions are huge we get it delivered and always have 2 days worth of food from just 1 order Thank you guys see you soon

Recently went back to Indian Ocean for a takeaway having not been there for a while. The food taste wise was good. Decent amount of chicken in the curry’s. The rice was ok. Prices had gone up quite a bit since last time but thankfully there was a 20% offer on otherwise we wouldn’t have bothered. Biggest issue was the food temperature. Picked it up at the time I was meant to, drove 5 minutes home and it was all stone cold. Not mildly cold from the journey, absolutely stone cold. I’m going to guess it had been made early and they were going to reheat it, which is bad practice anyway, but they clearly forgot to do the reheating bit and as a result we had to do it, so not great on that front.

Very good value for money. Very Hot (heat and spicy) also very tasty. Highly recommend this Indian takeaway, and certainly will be returning. Chicken Madras is my favourite.

Totally inept. I honestly have no idea how this place is still in business. We ordered a delivery 24 hours in advance, and we're now sitting here waiting, an hour after it was supposed to be delivered. They won't even answer calls! Disgusting.

We live in Budleigh and have used this takeaway for years; it is consistently amazing! Having had curries in Bristol and Surrey over the decades, this is the best ever! The quality of the dishes (prawn purée, dhansak, saag etc) is incredible. Service is great too. So lucky to have this fabulous takeaway on the doorstep!

Been in the area for many years but just got around to trying this restaurant for a take away. Had four different dishes and all were fantastic. Won’t go anywhere else in future.

Absolutely recommend the Indian ocean Exmouth. Food is incredible & full off authentic spices & taste. The portions are crammed to bursting in the containers & most of all the guys in there are very kind & courteous & nothing is too much trouble! It was my first time visiting & I will most definitely be going back!

Delivered takeaway - this is our favourite Indian food place in Exmouth, we have never been disappointed since moving back here 6 years ago and though it was high time we share our experiences. Food delivered fast by friendly folks, it's piping hot, bursting with flavour, meats succulent and sauces thick and rich. Naan breads amazing, plump, soft and delicious whether, plain, filled to accompany meals or as kebabs. Highly recommend Indian Ocean.

Delicious takeaway delivered to the entrance of Devon Cliffs by a friendly delivery man. Generous portions and really tasty food. We love Indian food and this is one of the nicest we’ve had for a while. Would recommend!

i have ordered several meals from indian ocean on a Saturday since lockdown kicked off - they always deliver pretty quickly and the food is excellent - I would recommend this as one of the very best in exmouth

I use this service regularly and honestly this is one of the best,if not the best restaurant I've ordered from. The staff are polite, professional and always friendly and willing to help. The chef or chefs, know exactly what they are doing. And provide the most flavorful food, portions are satisfying dishes, but most importantly the flavours are amazing. So for a fabulous meal for the whole family, trust in Indian Ocean, a great taste of traditional cuisine.

Usually the best Indian in Exmouth but the other night my curry was just meat floating in water.. no spices were added from taste, the liquid just tasted like meat stock. I also have an issue with the delivery driver, he was a taxi driver and didn't care if they fired him as he's a taxi driver not a delivery driver. He hung about for half an hour starring at us through the door then when my GF left he asked her who she was, where she was going, where she lived and if it's easy to get in her flat. If he wasn't in his 60's he'd have been going home in an ambulance.. AVOID!!!!

I use this take-away a fair amount and I’ve always been happy with it. Good portions, plenty of sauce with great flavours, you can tell it’s cooked with real and fresh ingredients. But...I really felt the need to leave a review after last nights. We had a chicken korma and a Chicken Green Massala. Both with beautifully tender chicken. Extras were tasty too.

We are regular customers of Indian Ocean for a good reason. We have never had a bad meal, honestly, never. It is always hot, and delicious, and is usually delivered slightly earlier than the estimated delivery time. Our favourite regular dishes are: chicken chat, chicken tikka masala, sheek kebab starter, and sag aloo. The onion bhaji's are always lovely and crispy!

Late finish at work. Ordered a delivery over an hour ago. Very happy to take my money. Unfortunately no food. And by the tone of the last phone call won’t be getting any. £27 up the pipe. Thank you again for the fantastic service.

An absolute delight to order from this Indian Take Away. So pleased I've found this company, every dish I have tried has been first class. The staff on the phone are so helpful and polite and as for the wait between ordering and the food being delivered is unbelievably short. First class. First and last time. We eat hot curries but this was ridiculous. 2 completely different curries and yet looked exactly the same apart from one had chicken in it and the other lamb. But two different styles ordered. What a disappointment. No flavour just damn hot.

The madras was so hot it was more like a phal and was inedible, we tang to complain and was told that the next delivery to call them first and remind them we had complained.. which we did.. and he still wanted £21 ??? Very poor customer service and won’t be using them again

Lovely veggie options great tasting dishes

Visited 6th January. Food was delivered in good time and was a nice meal. The thing that let it down was opening my door to a man sneering at me looking very annoyed with his hand out waiting for cash. I asked him if he was ok to which he replied NO quite bluntly and started to angrily moan about how it was my fault he could not find my flat that is clearly numbered and if he had followed the postcode I game the shop he would have been right outside my door! I explained that he also had my phone number to call if he was struggling that bad. He bluntly turned around, without offering my change and stormed off! Disappointed as have always liked the food but will not be treated like that by anyone!

Only in Exmouth for the night and fancied a Ruby!! A limited choice in the town I opted for the one with the best Just Eat review. Ordered online for collection. It was ready when they said it would be and was piping hot. Tasted freshly cooked but the Shashlik was lacking the depth of flavour I would normally expect. The mixed grill again was ok, but again lacking the depth of flavour. It was very plentiful and came with a naan bread which was very good. I have had a lot worse but I have also had a lot better. Presentation, however, was 10/10. It did look very good.

Ordered via just eat which was accepted and we were given a delivery time. 40 minutes later, we had a call from just eat to say the order had been cancelled due to living too far away. At minimum, I would have expected a courtesy call from the restaurant so that we could have ordered elsewhere in good time.

Picked up a take away good discussion as to specifics required for my meal. Great advice given and when home very satisfied with the quality of the food. Without doubt the best Indian take away in Exmouth. Great range of dishes and at a reasonable price

On holiday and found this Indian and can honestly say it's the best by far even better than at home wish this Indian was by us keep up the good work absolutely beautiful and very efficient

We have used the Indian Ocean as our takeaway of choice for a number of years now. The food is always exceptionally good, with generous portions. The staff are very polite and the prices are reasonable. No need to try elsewhere!
