Indian Enroute Street Food | Takeaway in Gloucester

First time I had Indian food from this place The starter were dry very dry chicken Samosa dry Sauce of the curry too liquid with 4 pieces of meat 50 pounds wasted If I was eat in and not take away I was going to ask money back.

Ordered a Lamb Biriyani, nothing like anything I've ever had before and I've had numerous over loads of restaurants. I wouldn't order from here again.

We went for takeaway from Indian Enroute last night (15/08/24) . The place looks welcoming and has some eat in tables so you can treat it as a restaurant as well as a takeaway. We ordered curry each one rice and a poppadum with a couple of samosas. Also a vegetable kadei side. The preparation was quick the and the food was packed securely. The depth of flavour is impressive across all the dishes and the portions are plenty big enough for anyone. (We will get two meals out of the mains) There is not much oil in the food unlike some places either. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent takeaway with a range of meals that are of good quality and offers some unusual dishes not often seen. A few of the items are for eat in only which would be a good excuse to do just that as they look delicious and unusual.

There's no other way to say it, this is an excellent Indian takeaway. Compared to usual rubbish of pre made sauces and tough, underdone meat, this is worlds apart. The food is freshly prepared, the meat is tender and the food is full.of flavour. If you know indian food, you will agree.

Stayed in Glouster for a few nights and fancied an indian Takeaway, Fantastic food and friendly staff!

Had a meal for 2 chosen by the chef. Amazing food. Bhajis and naans were great and not greasy at all. Had the Chicken tikka masala and methi palak murgh both were very tasty with juicy chicken and great portion. Pilau rice was perfect. Would highly recommend 5 stars 🌟

My first Indian meal since moving from Yorkshire and you did not disappoint. Fantastic choice on the menu, beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. Visited after a day at the races for a takeaway- Bombay chips were amazing as was our curry! Shame we were only visiting Huclecote for 4 nights and we live at the other end of the country and 😊

Absolutely fantastic, fresh, vibrant taste. good quality ingredients, portion sizes good too. Really different flavours from each dish but each one superb and complementary. I've eaten a lot of Indian food all over the World and this was top 10. Highly recommend. Delivery to Abbeymead was quick and the food was piping hot.

We had a great experience this evening. As we went with our 6-month-old baby, we got a highchair for him. so we ate peasfully. The food was delicious. The chicken malai tikka was especially awesome. Quality and quantity both changed and upgraded. I personally love the steel dishes. It gives me home kinda vibes. I visited 7 months ago when the quantity of food was less. But today, it was really good. You can eat two people from one bowl of sabji. Thank you Indian Enroute for making our dinner memorable.

We ordered a takeaway last night. I was super impressed with the wide range of choices on the menu, many of the same choices that were on the menu at Dishooom. I ordered the mutter paneer which was absolutely delicious and I would say was better than the same dish I had in Dishoom. Really looking forward to trying other items on the menu

Food tastes amazing but both curries are Luke warm and the nann bread was stone cold. Everything needed to be microwaved.

I have been looking for an authentic Indian restaurant/takeaway in Gloucestershire for a long time. I normally have to travel to Birmingham or London, but no more! The food here is authenticly Indian, cooked by a qualified chef who trained at one of the top hotels in India. A lovely friendly family business. Well done guys.

Unique and authentic flavours, it was clear there were no shortcuts here, the sauces and spice blends have been painstakingly prepared from scratch. One of the best meals I’ve had this year!

Outstanding takeaway experience from this curry haven! The aroma hit me as soon as I opened the containers, and the taste exceeded my expectations. Each curry was packed with authentic flavors, and the portions were generous. Quick service and convenient packaging made it a top choice for a cozy night in. I'll be ordering again soon!

Lovely indian food! Will reapeat

Really disappointed in the curries we received tonight. For £52 for three curries, three rice, four poppadoms, two naans it was an expensive take away. The chicken tikka and lamb korma had no taste but sour and a tomato puree taste, and didn't taste anything like these dishes are ment to taste. Both dishes had 4/5 pieces of meat in. Just seems abit of a rip off for how much was paid.

Mixed grill was missing the lamb cutlets without any explanation and the lamb sheek kebab was undercooked

Giving a generous Two stars for the mixed grill the only item we could eat. The food we had yesterday can't be from the kitchen of the chef mentioned on their website for his experience and accomplishments. Chicken chettinad- Nothing like how it should taste, just tomato's and sour. Couldn't really taste anything other than too much tomato's. Railway lamb curry- Again total disaster, just tasted tomato puree and very sour. Both curries tasted nearly same- just sour, no flavours nothing. Really disappointed. I am failed to understand why they are rated this high.

The driver was very quick with the order once it was ready. Indian on route took a while to prepare the order but the driver was there way become. The chips were cold, again this was not the drivers fault as we do not live far

Firstly I want to say how amazing the food was from Indian Enroute. We have ordered several times from them & have never been disappointed. Just Eat were very poor tonight. They took almost an hour & half to assign a driver. We were worried our food would be cold arriving, but the lovely lady at the restaurant assured us this would not happen & our food arrived lovely & hot as she said it would! Next time we order we will go direct & avoid using Just Eat!

not good value - quite expensive per dish and hardly any meat in any of our dishes. Lamb rogan Josh had three small pieces of lamb, chicken korma only had 3 or 4 pieces in. The curries were very tasty but I can’t give more stars because of the lack of meat and high cost

This is by far the best Indian take away I’ve ever had. It’s exceptional. The food is always tasty, fresh and fragrant and I love the side chutneys etc they provide. There are some different options to try from the street food section of the menu too. Service is always friendly. I cannot recommend highly enough. Love it!!!

I'm in to salty foods but this was way out of order, everything I ordered was so salty that was inedible, went straight in the bin, here's a tip for the chef, try the food before you send it out!!! Waist of money..

Haven’t even finished our food yet and already this is hands down the BEST Indian takeaway we’ve had since living in Gloucester for the past 7 years. Everything is so flavoursome and perfectly spiced, the meats are so tender, the starters were exceptional. Very happy to say we’ve just found our new regular, thank you!

It’s the second time I’ve ordered a collection. Very efficient. The food is amazing, had the samosa chaat for starter full of flavour, Bhuna and tikka had a good kick, can tell it’s freshly made, the homemade bhajis topped it off nicely will definitely be returning and recommending to family and friends. Best traditional Indian food, cooked fresh. Not greasy at all and very tasty. We have recommended this place to friends and family and they now all order from here and wouldn't go anywhere else. The menu is not as extensive as some Indian takeaways because they only cook their local traditional Indian dishes but I think this means they can get the best flavour etc from the dished they have and there is enough choice so there is something for all tastes. Highly recommended 👌

Opted to dine-in at the wonderful Indian Enroure. The quality and taste of the food was excellent, the prices very reasonable and the service was brilliant. Could not fault anything and will definitely use to dine-in and have takeaways in future.

This is a small takeaway that catered to our impromptu request for 14 guests. Food wasn't great though which was a shame. The butter nan was burnt, chicken kolhapuri hardly had any chicken in it. Would give them the benefit of the doubt as we were a large party and gave them only 1 hour notice

Just had a takeaway from here, absolutely delicious, lots of lovely spices meat and veg cooked perfectly, will definitely be having one again.

Good tasty food, fast delivery on time.

It took over an hour just for a driver to be allocated and there was a no way of cancelling the order or even collecting it myself or even speaking with the just eat customer service. I spoke with the restaurant who were very accommodating but helpless to be able to do anything. Very frustrating

Food is excellent quality would recommend but the delivery reliability is really erratic (had the same issue a couple of times). I assume it’s more of an issue with just eat than the restaurant themselves which is a shame.

Cold Mixed Grill Platter, stale popadoms and naan bread tasted like it was left over from last nite. Not Good.

High price for very little food. I was expecting an actual naan bread sized portion for nearly £10, however, received a tiny naan wrap. Also paid the best part of £5 for 4 small cubes of paneer at what looked like an entire onion. More like festival portions and prices... not worth the money.

Ordered a chicken tika, was OK to try but not quite the experience to make me want to order there again.
