Absolutely beautiful food, cooked perfectly (and we are real curry experts!) plus lovely service.

Arrived later. Asked for a takeaway. Very accommodating. Had a beer while I waited. Took the food back to my accommodation. It was stunning. The food is amazing. Perfect ! Highly recommend. Next time I am in the area I will have a sit down meal. Thank you. 👍👌

My husband and I came in for a date night before going to the cinema. The food was amazing, bursting with flavours, loads of vegan options! Pani Puri and the fried veg momos were my favourites. The server was friendly and polite, the food came out fast enough and it was simply delicious. We'll be back!

I like this restaurant, the staff are very welcoming and friendly, the food generally is good and , for my appetite, of more than sufficient quantity. But tonight was extra special. I do have, for a man of my size, a relatively small appetite and I wanted to try the mixed grill; I had two reservations about this: first my teeth aren't as good as they used to be and the are fewer of them, second, as I mentioned previously I have a small appetite. So I had two pappadums, skipped a starter and went straight to a main course of mixed grill with pilau rice (there is a choice of chips instead but why go to an ethnic restaurant and not eat their food?). Despite my reservations mentioned above the mixed grill was superb, all the meat was so tender I need not have worried about my teeth, it was spiced perfectly for me and because it so delicious I managed to finish all the mixed grill and most of the pilau rice, wonderful.

Food and services are good but little expensive. And to my surprise no free water to drink. So bring your water and dine 🍽 at least once.

Running a business myself I understand how difficult it is to get everything right. We ordered a takeaway at 7.30 on a Saturday night. Unfortunately the order had a dish missing which we found out once we arrived home. I called and explained and within 15 minutes the missing dish was delivered to our house. Well done guys and thank you. Great food too.

Have walked past this place many a time but never ventured inside. After a pint in the Taproom we decided to give it a go. Best decision ever. The staff are lovely, the food is banging and the cost is very reasonable.

We have tried many different Indian takeaways and restaurant. We thought we would try here after reading reviews. Take aways are hot and tasty so we went to the restaurant on Mother’s Day. I usually dine in various places as i believe in supporting local businesses and India House has been one of my favourites for a long time. Recently went for a casual night out with family and friends and had an awesome time. I'm always quite attentive on service and it was perfect. The waiters are informed and can guide you through the menu with ease and calm manner. Better than service is the food. I had mixed fried rice and lamb shank. They are the best ones. will be popping in again for my friends bday soon.

Very popular family owned nepali restra with good Indian delicacies ..spacious n cozy atmosphere..perfect for family outing or couple dates..food is served hot with many choices..Best part is ever smiling staff with great hospitality..value for money too..

Good food, Good ambience, Good and polite staff, everything was really nice. I like the portion size of food too. It was worth it. Service of the staff was exceptional they know what they are doing. The price is a bit high but the food was good.

Had a takeaway from here twice now and both times the food has been great and the service is always very friendly in the restaurant.

Although living in Folkestone, as we happened to be in Ashford we had a quick look on Trip Advisor at restaurant reviews and short listed 3 or 4 possibles. On arriving outside the India House, we saw that amongst their clientele was a Nepali family. That immediately influenced our decision and in we went! Very clean, well set out, with polite attentive staff and a comprehensive menu which also included Nepalese and Vegan dishes, the restaurant immediately impressed us. We ordered our drinks and chose Chicken Pasanda, Hariyali Chicken, Keema Rice and the usual Poppadums and Chutneys. The home made chutneys gave an indication of what was to come and both mains had delightful little Nepalese twists to them that served only to enhance the experience. Price wise, at under £50, this to us represented good value for money and we have no hesitation in recommending India House and look forward to coming there again and possibly bringing my vegan son as Indian or Nepalese, there are plenty of dishes that he , in fact all of us can and will eat. We look forward to it!

I am very disappointed with the service which i had ordered lamb biryani but instead i got a chicken inside tho it was written lamb on the top of take away, inside was chicken but not lamb. Very disappointed with this kind of service.

Chicken tikka starter and butter chicken main were amazing

I recently visited an Indian House in Ashford and was thoroughly impressed, particularly with their Lamb Biryani, which was nothing short of exceptional. The flavors were rich and aromatic, indicative of authentic spices and meticulous preparation. What stood out was the reasonable pricing, offering great value for such high-quality cuisine. A delightful dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone craving authentic Indian flavours.

This Place is Absolutely Stunning , the people are so kind , humble, polite, hospitality and service reminds me of India and our Asian hospitality which is the best. Ram is the Gentle men working there always has a great smile and welcoming nature. Taking about the food, Their food is SO SO SO Good that I have no words. I think that is the best place to go in the whole Ashford. Their Momo's , Thupka , The curry and bread. The veg Thali is so authentic. ohh my god . I can recommend the La Poderosa Malbec with the Lamb Shank! I believe they do takeout as well.

My friends heard so much about this place from my friends !!, so wanted try , 3 of us ate starters and main dishes, and a 4th person joined us for the dessert. Upon arrival the staff greeted us with smiling faces which is a plus, The place looked cozy and plush, with comfortable seating for large gatherings for Birthdays etc. The ambiance was very clean and pleasant. The music was perfect. FOOD was excellent but try to abstain from eating the fabulous starter and papadum otherwise there is no room for the rest. Ordered the the Amazing WORLDBEST alu nimki don’t be shy to ask and add some lemony tang to it, chatphat, the freshest drumsticks I ever had , the panipuri is the closest to what i can find back home. The mains I ordered the butter chicken with garlic naan and the Signature dish sadeko momo and the mixed chowmien with my homemade spicy sauce by my friends. All dishes excellent. Happy to see the staff singing to several tables "Happy Birthday". I loved the happy and hearty service by India House, such a warm place to go.Great experience and will return again.

Looked the busiest restaurant on a quiet Weds evening on the way into town and was even busier 30 mins later. The food has a home cooked (to restaurant quality) feel to it. We had Nepalese dumplings, Nepalese chicken curry and Biryani. Very nicely seasoned and cooked £42 for two with drinks

Best Indian cuisine I have had around here. I must say the service and taste is much better than most Indian restaurants even in London. I would definitely recommend it for chicken fried momos, chicken chow mein, and chicken Tikka biryani. The staff is very friendly.

We went to the India House because although The Everest was open according to the website, it is in fact closed on Tuesdays. What a good thing that the Everest was closed, because the India House was fantastic. The service was excellent - the staff were very attentive, the menu was very comprehensive and the food was excellent. I was recommended to have the lamb shank. Excellent recommendation!

A nice restaurant,Indian and Nepal food, the staff were friendly and efficient, the food was lovely I had some with buffalo and it was very good. I gave the atmosphere 5 stars as it was quiet so wasn't "buzzing" but we weren't there for that. I would go there again. Most Indian restaurants offer "generic" Indian cuisine but this was a little different and all the better for that

We booked a table for 6, when we arrived they had put our booking into the following week. sadly, we never ate here. It was busy, food looked good, smelt good but no tasting for us we went elsewhere.

Went there as a group of 9 people. Food was nice;however, the customer services was terrible. They did not ask even once how was our foods. The waitresses didn’t have a warm tone to the way they spoke at all. Too blunt and could have been better considering we were a big bunch. When we wanted to pay for our food, we all had to get up and pay individually at the till instead of the waitress splitting the bill at the table. One of our starters didn’t arrive until the end when we were eating our mains. Please do train your staffs on the customer services skills as the food itself was quite lovely. I will be sticking with take-away orders from now onwards.

We have been to this Restuarant many times over the last ten years and the food just never disappoints. Can honesty say that we haven’t been to better . Dishes we would very highly recommend are mixed grill, chicken tikka Dhansak, chilli paneer, tarka dhal, lamb chop starters( amazing) , chilli moon dumplings are a must too! Staff always friendly and welcoming and food is loved by the local Nepalese community which says it all.

Absolutely amazing tasting food and brilliant staff. They would check if you needed anything just enough, not so much that it is annoying. They would be ready to get you some more drinks as soon as you finished it. Very quick to bring the bill, lovely people. Food was cooked quite quick and was prepared well. Would definitely recommend for a large and filling dinner.

From the staff to the food the service was outstanding. We are a vegi family and do get a bit nervous going to places which serve non-veg, but the staff where very knowledgeable and gave advice of what to order, as we have never had good momos the waitress recomended a spicy fried veg momo. They where Lip Smacking! Also the currys and naan where also amazing, the naan literally melts in the mouth. My husband always said to me, back in India all the good restaurants had Nepali chefs! Now i know why! Will definately visit when we come back into the area! :-)

Amazing variety of Indian and Nepalese food. Great ambience and flavoursome dishes, I recommend this place if what you’re craving for is good quality food with reasonable prices. P.s I love the Punjabi samosas and Pork jhol(thick-ish soup) momo and I also recommend you trying the Jhaneko momo which is a special kind of momo you can’t find in other restaurants…thank me later! :D

First time and what can I say. Food amazing, service , amazing. Would recommend to anyone.

I have been a regular customer of india house now since 2012 and i can honestly say the food is amazing, very well presented and what makes it even more special is the people and the service... in this time i and my friends have never experienced any bad service, low quality food or anything else you'd come to expect in a very competative local cuisine and market... you will never feel you pay too much as with other restaurants for the value and quantity of food you will receive...they are also rated by a Mitchelin star chef and there simply cannot be any dissapointment... unless you are not use to indian/nepalese food... what makes the chefs extraordinary special is that they do not just specialise in nepalese or indian food, they are true specialists... even more so is the fact that you can ask them about certain specialities or to adjust the food according to your liking... India House is without any question or any doubt in my mind very highly recommended! Please do go and try them and enjoy the food! Its is amazing and is served with a smile!

Its the sort of place you expect if you're on holiday and don't care if it's not very good... But I'm not on holiday and I'm quite disappointed given the reviews- Hope they're real! Lamb tikka (no salad or side sauce with it) - Dry, covered in their blended onions and unlikely to have seen the inside of a tandor either. Poor meat, fatty and lost flavour due to frozen for too long (fact). Curry is just a fail. So many undercooked tiny pieces of onion and herbs, raw tomato puree too, that repeats on you along with the raw bitterness of garlic, again not cooked properly or with care - sauces aren't cooked on a high enough heat in my view, so the the spices aren't toasted properly before they add anything else. My advice.... If you're expecting classic, tandor cooked meats and curry sauces that are well practised, head elsewhere - I cannot speak for the Nepal side of the menu, didn't try it. But they clearly don't care about what we were served. They won't care about complaints either, because they'll drown them out with more fake reviews.

Lovely Indian and Nepalese cuisine restaurant with attention to requests for bespoke customisations. Have had food delivered and dined in a few times and have never been disappointed. Delivery times were occasionally longer than usual but not unreasonable and usually on expected busy evenings like Fridays.

Worst Indian food I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t even give one star. I strongly believe that all this 5 star reviews are fake. We had few different meals and everything just tasted the same or didn’t have any taste at all! Shame on you India house Ashford

We’ve been regular customers at India House for over a year now, we love it, the food is delicious, good flavour and not too oily, we always order vegan food and they are happy to accommodate any requests. The vegan section of the menu is great and the prices are very reasonable. We’ll continue eating here for years to come.

Had order delivered to give them another chance as the food was the best earlier in the year. Ordered from them about six weeks ago and food wasn't good. Tonight I thought we should give them another chance but alas, much worse. Maybe changed chef. Gone from the best in town to the worst in the space of two or three months. Real shame.

Just had one of the best curries I have ever had in the UK true authentic curry, Not sweet not too hot just the right amount of spice and lots of meat. Had great friendly service. Thank you!
