We absolutely love it here. The food is lovely, the service us fab and the price is really reasonable. Top recommendation is the onion bhajis. I can't explain enough how wonderful they are. It is as if they were made by the hands of angels. The pani puri is also pretty wonderful

This is one of my favourite restaurants. The authentic Nepalese food is amazing. Fantastic value for money and lovely service. Definitely try the Bhatura bread.

En route to Spain via Le Shuttle, we stayed overnight in Ashford. Arriving quite late, we basically went to the nearest restaurant we could find to the Ashford Travelodge, where we were staying. They were out of King Prawns, which was a bit of a blow, as we both wanted King Prawn dishes, but the recommended substitutes were excellent and I became a convert to Gurkha food, particularly enjoying the pasta dish and the Gurkha bread, which was to die for. House wine was perfectly ok and reasonably priced and the service was friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back, if I was in Ashford, but please order more King Prawns!

Call the restaurant for a delivery as it is mentioned on the Internet only to find out they don't do delivery anymore. Then, I ordered on through the phone for collection in 30 minutes. When I got there for collection, I was pleased that the food was ready for collection. However, when I paid them on cash, they returned me 4 pence less and asked me if that is okay. (I felt like this restaurant asked for tips rather than the customer gave them willingly, so I said that is fine.) The worst experience with the food was cold. Then chill chicken momo was sluggy. Chowmin was cold. Sukuti chapatte only a few bits of actual sukuti in it and very hard to find onion and cucumber and also can't taste any lemon. Alloo- nimkee was delicious out of 4 food I ordered. It was my first experience with this restaurant, and it will also be the last one as well.

Oh my god, it is the best restaurant in the town. For a price of McDonalds you will get bigger and testier portion of meat and vegetables. I love pork belly in it because for ≈8£ you got a lot of meat and fried potatoes. Thank you for such good food guys.

Stopped off in Ashford to save queueing for Dartford Tunnel. Luckily we found this superb restaurant. Obviously frequented by the local Gurka population. Extensive menu. Great food.

Most probably the best MOMO restaurant in Ashford. This statement comes after trying the other 2 in Ashford as well. Momos were right sized, good portion size, cooked well, flavourful and tasty. We ordered takeaway and it was done in time. Since we did not dine in can't comment on atmosphere.

This restaurant has a nice presentation with excellent service and delicious food. Server was a nice, lovely young lady. Decent prices and portions are quite large. Visited on Saturday evening. Good atmosphere. Especially loved the spicy chatpate 🥵😍

Chilli momo was excellent, food and drink generally was tasty too. Service was okay with the food arriving in good time, but we got booked on the wrong date and had to move tables because of this. The door didn’t close properly and also people didn’t close the door when they entered/left, to be reseated right next to the door on a cold day was not that pleasant 🙃

Food is fantastic everything we had was really good had a little bit of spice in it! The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Very reasonably priced good selection of drinks too such a lovely restaurant.

Food was authentic and came out hot. Decor was ok, although the background music was a bit too loud. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. I would have given a five star, if I hadn't seen a fly or two flying.

I visited this resturant and for the first time tried their traditional Nepalese cuisine. I was amazing and most enjoyable. A great welcome and great service. Definitely going again!!! Brilliant, thank you!

Chilled restaurant serving lovely authentic Nepalese food.

Excellent selection of food and drink. Looking around at the customers you’ll see a lots of people with Nepalese heritage which would suggest that this restaurant serves traditional/authentic food. Certainly the food I tried was different to the usual ‘curry house’ menu. I really enjoyed the whole experience and will be back soon.

Absolutely well worth the journey to enjoy fantastic tasting food and excellent service. A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The staff were very accommodating. Arrived c. 19:15 and the restaurant was busy (midweek). Had time to choose my meal before they asked what drink I would like though I could have asked for a drink immediately if I had wanted one. Prices were very reasonable and there was a good choice of dishes from the menu. The staff worked well and seemed genuinely interested in their customers enjoyment of their meals. I have experienced better fare but this was very good and much cheaper than many other restaurants visited.

Disappointed ...they should make that clear...and why not? As a food business...it doesn't make any sense

This restaurant despite being in a converted pub? is like stepping into a restaurant in the back streets of Katmandu......... very authentic food ...well cooked , very tasty and a good variety........ but no frills. It is very reasonably priced and is always well attended by Nepalese diners which is a great sign. My son wants his 21st here .......

Chatpatey was just about okay nothing special not worth the asking price , Samosa was excellent. Pani Puri filling was like some red saucy aloo , tasted awful, veg MOMO was bland , I know veg MOMO is usually blander than meat but this one of the worst I've tried. seating & spacing not that great as it's very tight & compact. Staff are nice, love the look of their menu.

Due to family and friends recommendation came all the way from london twice but each time its closed all though it said opened on google. Need to update the timings. Even today it was closed on 1415.

A friend and I arrived at around 9pm on a Saturday evening, quite a few people dining inside and available tables but was shooed away by the waiter as they were closed despite their opening hours being advertised as open until 11pm. If they don't want my custom they can have my review instead. Go elsewhere.

Was supposed to be a good night, but starter arrived no napkins or cutlery on table ordered drinks no gurkar beer had to have cobra ? Main come , curry and rice good biryani Came with out egg and no Rita was told egg was runney, but still no ritata (very dry meal ))not a good evening such a shame , not a nice experience, and no discount for the not complete main meal , think will have to back with my secret dinner friend Yes

The food tasted absolutely great, so why 2 stars? We entered the restaurant and was immediately seated to an un-laid table directly by the door which was constantly being opened and not closed for the entire meal which led to a cold (almost freezing) breeze persistently cutting across our legs, feet and necks, also' the table was squeezed beside a radiator which was so hot that our elbows and legs would scald whenever contact was made. Before our order was placed a quick visit to the unisex toilets was an eye opener as the toilet door was held wide open with two ladies standing and chatting to a third who was seated on the business throne doing business stuff (I'm a man who don't embarrass easily but even I know that ain't quite the right image). Our food was ordered and I retrieved the napkins, etc to lay the table myself. Our starter came and very soon after an adorable child appeared at the table, the child was chatty and tried to get her fingers into our food on several occasions (this random in-house entertainment was repeated throughout the meal). The time between the starter and the main meal felt like an eternity which led to us ordering another starter which then turned up after the main meal. As said, 'the food was exceptionally tasty however, one of our dishes fell short of the expectation, the Chicken Biryani was missing it's boiled eggs and raita as described on the menu. This was addressed with the waiter who assured us that this was because when they cooked the eggs they cracked them open to find that they was raw..! We skipped the offer of new eggs but still did not receive the raita. In fairness, the food that we was served was probably worth +4 stars so we asked about their take away service and menu, we was promptly given two restaurant menus and told to photograph them. Sadly, we will not dining or ordering a take-out from Gaurkha Bhansa. The management of this establishment really ought to look at the restaurant logistics because the food is so good that they could make it something special for the people of Ashford.

Walked in here because we could get in at our first choice. Place was full of Napalese eating which I thought was a good sign. The food was disappointing really, very salty and served on what I think prisoners get their food on, those trays with different sections. A positive was that it was real chicken and not processed like what is served in Chinese restaurants.

Never been here before, have tried a few Gurkha restaurants in the past. We went on a Saturday night, glad we booked it was very busy. It took a while to pick our dishes as we were unfamiliar with those on offer. After deciding to mix and share we ordered our meals. The food that came out was well presented and tasted great some dishes were hot, but we managed them. The service was a bit hit and miss, we had to attract the waitresses eye to order extra dishes and drinks. Overall the experience was really good, we will definitely return

Wow! That's the most authentic Nepalese restaurant I have used outside of Nepal. Took me straight back to Pokhara. No wonder it was full of Nepalese enjoying the food. Service was slow but the food more than made up for that

Loved everything about this place, food was delicious. I recommend the goat curry, momos and biryani. The service is exceptional and the prices are unbeatable. Good portion sizes too. If in the area again I would definitely revisit.

Service delightful, food exquisite and not expensive. Only sadness is some items (including Ghurka beer) not available on the menu because of covid (also the chow mein and the king prawns). Authentic and hospitable.

Unexpectedly found ourselves in Ashford for a night. Quick check of Google maps and saw this place near the top of the list. I love goat curry and my wife had never tried it so it was a quick decision. Nice welcome and quickly seated by the waiter followed by prompt and efficient service, offering advice on things we liked the sound of and answering our questions before taking the order. Good arrived in good time and was absolutely superb. Starter portions were very generous so we ended up getting some of the momos boxed up to take away for lunch tomorrow. Absolutely no complaints, food and service were superb and amazing value for money. Can't wait to come back again and would heartily recommend it to anyone.

Amazing food and brilliant service.

The ambience isn't the greatest I have seen so far. But if you have to experience authentic Nepalese food, this is the place to be.

Visited here with my husband for the first time last night for dinner. Very clean restaurant, excellent waiter service, really tasty food. Good portion sizes, I couldn't finish mine but they offered to box it up for me. Good value for money too quite cheap. Will definitely go again! 👍

The food is reasonably priced and there's plenty of it. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. The decor of the restaurant is a bit dated but it's very clean.

Of the three Nepalese restaurants I've visited, Bhansa Ghar in Ashford is way ahead. Staff attentive and courteous, food all freshly cooked with love. Prices VERY reasonable. Portion sizes a little on the large side for me (I'm anold man and don't eat a great deal) though, speaking of a great deal, I'd say we had a great deal here and have vowed to return.

I have been going to this restaurant for years now and that just because their menu have some authentic food. I normally order Momo and Lamb thali. Momo is generally good but its a different story when it comes to thali; average tasting, little meat and lots of bones. This weekend even food (curry) was tastless, not only me but everyone on our table had the same feedback and we left food. Hope you will take this feedback as someone who wants you to look back and make some changes. All the best

They are part of Uber delivery service. Used them for the last 4 take always. Best in Ashford, we have so far tried the chicken tikka Masala, chicken korma, chicken khora, chicken bhoona, chicken tikka, Pilar rice, Nan, onion bhaji, mushroom rice. Always arrives hot. Would definitely recommend

Amazing food, massive portions! In our experience it does cater for a lot of private parties so would advise booking. Service can be slow so not the place to go if you're in a hurry. Food quality makes up for this though.

They prepared buffet for us at a reasonable price for a massive family of 20 . The food was amazing, felt like home . We had a memorable time .

Had a brilliant meal last night food amazing staff very helpful in explaining dishes would definitely return in fact we have booked next weekend with friends would definitely recommend to others.

I have been to Nepali restaurant in Aldershot, Plumstead, Reading but this is the best one I have been to by far. Thakali set was so good, I would have been fine with some just the Dhal and Bhat. Their Alu Nimki is very similar to Dharan Alu Nimki as well. I have to say I don't know about their momo and other food as I didn't try it but they're probably good as well.

I have visited this restaurant on several occasion and keep coming back. The food is always so good. The aalo nimki, chatpate , aalu sadeko, momo are so always delicious. The best thing about this restaurant is the thali set, a must try! Love this cosy little restaurant and will be coming back again and again.

I was disappointed after my visit here with 4 friends. They had no Gurkha beer - we had to make do with Cobra. Several of us requested a medium curry and it turned out to be only mild. Then there were only 2 sweets on the menu, ice cream and a sticky Nepalese one. We ordered ice cream - only to be told that there was none. The service was very slow - despite the fact that there was only 1 other small table occupied.A great shame after a very good meal on our first visit a few weeks ago.

It has a poor area for family visit as congested space and not suitable for kids. Food is average taste apart from some dishes. It took more time to serve the customers as their less staff.
