They have a lot of good food to eat!

Had bad customer service attendant bad attitude. Wanted turkey they said no but gave to another customer without pre order. Food lovely shame.

Awful - £4.40 for a cheese on two slices of bread. I could have made that at home. No other vegetarian options either. The toasted sandwich was dry. It’s a bakery stuck in the 1980s.

I ordered a buffet for my fathers funeral and I cannot fault the service or food at all. I placed the order by phone and the man I spoke to was really helpful. The food arrived on time and everyone commented on how lovely it was. Everything was fresh and there was plenty of choice, even a small platter of veggie sandwiches and cheese rolls.

Great local bakery & butty shop. Freshly made sandwiches, to order and using their own baked bread. Great selection of pies and cakes sometimes with holiday selections.

Had 2 Hursts buffets delivered 30/12 and 31/12 for family gatherings. Ordered and paid over the phone. Buffets delivered (included in cost) on time before noon each day. Great selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, pork pie, quiche, and cakes. All really fresh and tasty and nicely presented. Worked out just less than £8 per person- very good value and will book again in future. Thank you.

Far too expensive no too pricey

This is a super bakery, nothing fancy or hipster, just quite traditional English loaves, buns, sausage rolls, pork pies, biscuits and cakes, as well as soft drinks &c. The service is always efficient and with a smile

Bought a small lukewarm hard as rock pork pie yesterday afternoon from this bakery for approximately £1.84. It was awful, could not get a knife through it, the meat was all crusty on the top and the pastry hard as hell. Straight in the bin.

Lovely, friendly bakery with a cafe. You can generally park nearby. Had a lovely breakfast before playing golf and got a free cake.

I came in yesterday and when I was being served I noticed a fly on the ice buns and other cakes now I usually go the one on Duke Street as the food in there is pretty decent, in all honesty I paid for my food and put it in the bin. I know these type of things can't be helped as it's open but it's not acceptable. Hurst's need to update themselves in general. Cakes shouldn't be open to air as they dry out and taste aweful. They should be inside a glass cabinet or something else that locks in moisture. (Would avoid flys laying on food also) The pasties are aweful absolutely no taste in them and the pastry leaves a little to be desired. The staff however are lovely you can't fault them... I just think if a little money is spent to update the shop things in there would be alot nicer. I won't be coming here again due to the fact it's not very clean to have the likes of cakes and flapjacks open to flys and anything else that could crawl in.

Traditional Cornish Pasties are very nice but a bit underfilled sometimes. Love me an iced bun from there too, but you may have to tell them which one you want as sometimes they're extremely stingy with the icing, which is a shame because I don't want to walk out of Hurst's without an (at least one) iced bun in my hand.

I was brought here as a child by my parents/grandparents and I still come here today. Everything from Hurst's is always spectacular. Sandwiches, Breakfasts, Cakes, Sausage Rolls, Pasties. I would eat here every day if I could! Staff in any Hurst's you go to are always friendly and welcoming.

For the same price you can get a Subway sandwich which is far superior. But it is not the reason I gave one star. The only one star is for Phyllas and the tall lady. If it was possibe I would give minus 5 to the other two unorofessional short ladies. was behind in the queue and they were disrespectfully laughing at the gentleman in front of me. At his face. To get it worst she couldn't talk to him because she was laughing at him while he was placing his order. Then she would go to the other short lady and both laugh at him. With Lidl now opened I will never return to this bakery

Had to leave a review. My family and I love iced buns but we’re fed up of buying tasteless ones from well know supermarkets. Went to hursts in cross lane Bebington today for 6 iced buns and a pasty and I’m blown away at how delicious everything tasted. The icing on the buns is sweet and sticky. The bread is sweet but not too sweet. Should’ve bought more. I ate the pasty and enjoyed every bite. The pastry was lovely and flakey. The filling was even yummier. Will be going back again soon. Btw the staff are so lovely and friendly too.

I concur with Sam Jones, my sandwich was 'orrible. £3.50 for a cheese and tomato toastie is a bit heavy for a run of the mill bakery and they microwaved the cheese to melt it. The manager was moody as hell, the atmosphere was ghostly and the poor staff looked like they were just getting through it.

This is my local bakery and has been for 27 years, ( before it was Ferns ) I love calling in here for my GI bread and my cakes as I'm always met with a smile and a chat . The food is fabulous and the freshly made sandwiches are made to order and tasty , there are lots of things you can have !!! I love the turkey with cranberry and salad on a GI cob , yum !! They do hot / cold pastries , and have a small coffee shop . But do try and avoid the collage lunch hr as it gets very , very busy ( 12 ? ) it's lovely to have a local bakery so I will keep shopping here as much as I can . And there is no one else who makes better cream cakes !!

We love the food they make there. Plenty of choices from gorgeous bread and cakes. We also like to have a snack here, as they have good choices of varied offers. It is always freshly made and delicious ! Cafe only small, but ample space for what you need. You must go and try it.

They make a great bacon bacon butty and the staff are always cheery the fresh bred is always soft and tasty

Busy place during college term loads of students virtually no parking

Lovely, fresh sandwiches and bakery desserts. Odd occassion when the bread hasn't been fresh and a lot of the time you're shoved out of the way by ignorant, know it all sixth formers who would do brilliantly learning some manners. The amount of teenagers hoving in the doorway, outside or inside at the chairs without actally buying anything let the place down. Only once have I been asked to pick something else, just because of the lunch time rush of teenagers, because the staff couldn't be bothered to walk across the room to pick up hot bacon for my sandwich, needless to say I picked another place to eat.

I was in Claughton village getting a bit of shopping and decided to pop in for a sandwich. I ended up sitting in to eat and didn't regret it. Beautiful turkey and stuffing nudger with an iced bun and a pepsi for less than 5 quid. Very friendly staff who all thanked me as I left. Worth it.

I have worked in a bakery and also bought many breakfast barns. This one was £2.50 for 1 measley sausage and an egg! The emptiest and most over priced sandwich I have ever had. I will DEFINITELY NOT EVER BE GOIN THERE AGAIN

Excellent quality food, soft bread baked to perfection. Delicious sausage rolls that beat Sayers and tasty flapjacks.

Good for snacks. Lovely cakes. Hot pasties. Hand raised pork pies delicious. My favourites are the Eccles cakes.

Just had a quick bite to eat @hurstbakery. Nice and friendly staff and made to feel welcome as we sat in to eat in their small dining area. Food was fine, our order was made freshly as we waited as was our brews, which I personally like, so they came together. Price wise not to bad either £8 odd for 2 large rolls, cakes and a couple of brews, so cannot complain, good little place for a "bite to eat"

Hurst bakery is some what of an institute in wirral from their home made bread and cakes to the hand made sandwiches.

This is a local bakery with mouth watering bread produce, tasty cakes and pies. the latter hot or cold, eat in or take away. Once tasted you will return for more.

love the iced buns don't know what the recipe is they use but their iced buns are the best, the rest of the family love the pasties and sausage rolls. we treat ourselves every saturday from the tranmere shop.

This is a great bakery and really reasonable for fabulous home baked tasting food. Cant fault it for takeaway either. Love it!

Disgusted with comments received when we complained about a dead ant inside a chocolate coated flapjack! Was told by the manager that he didn't know how it had got inside it and "not to worry - it would't have harmed my 10 year old son if he had of eaten it without knowing" - Terrible customer service from the "So called bakery manager". If that's the way you speak to your customers then I feel very sorry for your staff.

Price, service, freebies on counter , cake selection, bread. Dislikes--- need more sally luns , upgrade facility for meal deal cake---whenever I get there all the iced buns gone and don't fancy shortcake or flapjack.

Big inside and plenty of tables, food was fine and to expectations though a little pricey all considered. The ladies are always friendly and prompt. I would say the outside of it looks rough and not been painted or touched in years, maybe even thinking it's closed.

My family have been to this place for many years, what I can say is the food are excellent and the staff are lovely! We always have the transitional breakfast and we think they are the best among the Wirral, the contents were fresh and all from the local, the sausages are the finest! My family love this place!

Had a meat an potato pasty. Looked like dog food, tasted like what I'd imagine dog food with alot of salt on tastes like. Never again

Perfectly positioned, near the car park I use. Usually have a take away breakfast/lunch or sometimes eat in if I've time. Friendly staff and just so so glad they have opened a branch near home! Again staff are trained to be helpful and friendly and that counts for a lot these days.

Great butties made to your specifications, very tasty with quality ingredients. All the bread and savoury snacks are made by the by hursts bakery. Very nice, very fresh
