Hurnfield Hargate Farm in South Holland

Stopped on route home from Yorkshire to Wymondham, Norfolk. My husband who is disabled was made to wait until payment for coffee and a cake was processed before being given a code to get into the toilet!!! There was no nicety with the service absolutely nothing. Have visited before with my mum and kids a few years back, NEVER AGAIN

Stop regularly in my truck, easy parking, fast service, good food, good staff, reasonable price, will return!!

Our party stopped off on our way from Cheshire to Norfolk by coach, mainly for a loo break but also to have a drink or a quick snack. The place was exceptionally busy and feels a little like a lorry driver’s greasy spoon stop. They boast that they can serve over 50 people in fewer than 5 minutes, so with that amount of foot fall I guess there is no reason to smarten the place up any. The décor is very dated with plastic tablecloths and old fashioned fittings, but it was fairly clean and tidy. The menu is quite extensive but basic and is displayed on neon card signs above the tills. Prices are reasonable. They do a full range of sandwiches and portioned cakes along with hot or cold drinks, and indeed they do serve you quickly. I opted for the soup and roll option as it was still a little early for a full meal. Both were nice, hot and tasty. The roll was substantial and definitely filled you up. They also have a farm shop attached selling jams sweets and plants, etc. Worth as quick wander and a giggle at things not seen for a long time.

We have stop at this Farm Shop before on our to Great Yarmouth, this year was a great disappointment, we stopped mainly to have a lunch but waiting at the counter we changed our minds and only ordered two Teas with a Biscuit, one sip of the Tea, it was awful, undrinkable, the table was greasy, we left all and continued on our journey stopping at a Filling Station for a toilet break, needless to say we won't be stopping again.

We stopped at this venue whilst travelling with National Holidays and what a surprise. This is a large building contains a cafe selling a good range of food and snacks, all reasonably priced, a snack bar and bar with Italian tables and chairs, a flower shop and a shop selling fruit and vegetables grown on the farm, it was so good that the driver stopped at the same place on the way back.
