We have been meaning to try huggers for ages. As we went today (which is a Sunday) we were particularly taken by a review which said ‘best vegan roast ever. Well, it really is !! I had the sausage plait and my wife ate the nut roast. It was the very best of home cooking and utterly faultless. The desserts were equally delicious (I had the apple pie while my wife had a chocolate sundae. The staff were friendly and knowledgable. Huggers are going to be seeing quite a bit more of us moving forward and I am excited to have unearthed a real vegan gem of a place. Hurray !!

We're back again with more family to give them the wonderful experience of the Huggers food. Three of us ordered the Special, Mac n Cheese tart, with 'bacon' topped salad and skin on wedges. All delicious, fresh and flavoursome. The fourth person had tofu chicken and noodles, this too was very tasty. We were all to full up for desserts but we still had some tasters between us....A lovely relaxed atmosphere and as usual very friendly staff....Thank you all very much.

Huggers is quite local to me and I visit frequently. To have such a high quality eaterie so close to home is a real blessing. The whole team are lovely, the atmosphere welcoming, and the food is excellent quality with a wide-ranging vegan menu for breakfast, lunch, tea. My brother, who was previously unaware of vegan food, now loves visiting Huggers with me when he can. I love it too that dogs are welcome.

I reguarly visit Huggers with my furry friend 🐕 and have always had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere, cozy and inviting, a perfect place for enjoying a meal or relaxing with a cup of coffee. The staff are always friendly and attentive, making sure that I have everything I need. The menu offers a great variety of plant based options, from hearty breakfast items to a light lunch. The banana bread is absolutely delicious 😋 If you're not vegan/vegetarian, I still highly recommend you visit. You will be surprised how tasty the food can be. If you are looking for a great meal in a welcoming environment, this is the place to go.

Huggers is somewhere we've been meaning to visit for a while. It was friendly and the service was good; however, we were not aware it was vegetarian. We don't feel it was clear and it is not advertised as vegetarian from the outside. Overall we were disappointed with the food which did not satisfy us. A full English Breakfast from the menu is what we ordered with no mention of meat free or vegetarian anywhere. We were not asked about food allergies either, yet the coffee was made with oat milk. It feels a bit underhand as we went for a Proper breakfast. When we asked why it does not openly say anywhere meat free or vegetarian we were told 'because people pre judge and we think they should try it'. This is ethically wrong because we should have a choice and we felt tricked and cheated of a decent breakfast with an egg or two and meat (which is what we wanted and we shouldn't have settled for processed shapes masquerading as meat!). We felt we couldn't leave once we had sat down. In hindsight we should have left and we were very disappointed. If you want vegetarian go here but if you want proper meat stear clear. The venue is lovely and kept clean. We just prefer an honest approach.

Huggers are situated in the centre of Long Stratton. For the relatively short time the cafe and Bistro have been trading, in my opinion, it is simply the best place to dine in the town and surrounding area. I have been fortunate to drink coffee all over the world. The coffee bean used here makes some of the best coffee I've ever tasted. So many other coffees, teas and hot chocolate catered for too. There is a huge choice from the menu including exceptional burgers. Although not on the menu,If you pre-order and want the the best sausage and mash with onion gravy anywhere, this is the place to go. The friendliness of the staff is excellent and nothing too much trouble. Huggers is open 7days a week. There is a large free car park opposite Huggers. Cross over the pedestrian crossing straight into Huggers. I am a regular customer and no need to visit elsewhere. Huggers is that good. Try it yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Travelled some distance to have lunch at this restaurant which I had heard good things about and it definitely did not disappoint! We were spoilt for choice as there are so many options on the menu, I had Mediterranean tart, my partner had loaded chilli fries, both meals were cooked perfectly and so tasty, we also had a milkshake each which I can honestly say was the nicest one I have ever had and not sickly sweet like some, even though full from my main I couldn’t resist a dessert (which was difficult to choose as they all sounded so tempting) I had frangipane tart and custard from the specials board which was delicious. Great little restaurant with lovely modern decor, fantastic food, friendly staff and dogs very welcome I only wish it was closer so we I could visit more often but we will definitely be back

I came to Huggers for a Birthday meal! Standards were definitely met and standards were raised!! It was our first time going, ( being in unaware this fantastic treasure was hidden in long Stratton) so didn’t know what to expect. On arrival we were seen to very quickly and felt greeted in a proffessional manner, feeling welcomed and respected! There’s so much to choose from the menu (which was truly wonderful to see). Attending the meal with a family of vegans this was the perfect opportunity to try out for a birthday meal. Ordering the vegan roast (being a Sunday) it’s safe to say THE BEST VEGAN ROAST WEVE EXPERIENCED !! We will definitely be back again to try more from the menu! Im thrilled to be able to reccomend this bistro to other vegan/vegetarian members of the family! There’s something for everyone , there’s always a first to try new food and this is definitely the place to do so! I truly hope this cosy little bistro only thrives and flourishes to bigger and better opportunities to grow! THANKYOU SO MUCH (Ps, Thankyou for the kind waitress who helped to recommend some dishes to us)

I took my granddaughter for a 12th birthday lunch, the food was great but the attitude of the staff was amazing. Knowing that it was her birthday they reserved a table with a special reservation notice in her name, they treated her like royalty and the icing on the cake was at the end they presented her with a little especially made with cream topping and to crown it all with some candles.

We finally went for a Sunday roast at Huggers and wow wow wow! Everything was delicious and it’s such a treat to have a vegan Sunday roast that isn’t just the vegetarian roast with parts taken out. The Yorkshires were 🔥. The roasties were the 💣. The vegan cauliflower cheese was 🧨. The apple pie was ….🥇. But to be honest, every element was perfect. While I am still full from earlier, I would gladly have it all again right now

Visited today with my family and in-laws as we had heard great things about the roast. Really pleased to say the food lived up to the hype, one of the better vegan roasts I’ve had out. Portion sizes were good and everything was tasty and cooked well. Service was very warm and friendly, staff went out of their way to be accommodating especially for our 8 year old. Atmosphere was nice, was busy but didn’t feel cramped and wasn’t too noisy. Will definitely make the drive out from Norwich again.

My partner’s family live in Tasburgh. Heard from them about this vegan place as we’re Muslim and halal food is hard to come by in Norfolk (so thank you to the vegan community, we appreciate you!). We had one of the juiciest, tastiest and filling burgers with a healthy portion of fries and some big onion rings! The coffee was brilliant and I’m not a fan of non dairy but this one tasted absolutely lovely! The sticky toffee pudding was divine, I was left to lick the bowl. Likewise the chocolate cake. Every time we visit Norfolk, we’ll be looking forward to head back to Huggers. S/O to the wonderful staff too who were kind, helpful and lovely.

Long Stratton on the A140 between Diss and Norwich is not renowned for very much. Most people just pass through, admire the Aston Martin's at the garage and moan about the traffic hold ups. However, park up at the carpark near the Co-op and cross the road at the crossing. There you will find a wonderful place called Huggers. The food and drinks are vegan, my wife and I are not vegan but we absolutely love the food. Everything is made to an exceptionally high standard and the staff are really friendly and efficient. This is my third visit to Huggers having previously sampled cakes, sausage rolls and a Sunday lunch. This time I had a burger, this was better than anything I have had from anywhere else including another local restaurant in Long Stratton. My wife had chilli and rice, which again had a proper chilli heat and flavour. My burger was followed by the festive cheesecake. I had seen a few people with this and I can see why it was popular. White chocolate and Bailey's with whipped cream, I was in food heaven. Thank you Huggers for another memorable meal, next time we come we will have the afternoon tea.

Town Green Garden Cafe is an absolute gem that has quickly become my go-to spot for both the perfect cup of coffee and a truly delightful experience. The coffee is nothing short of exceptional – rich, flavourful, and brewed to perfection every single time. Whether you're a fan of a bold espresso or a smooth latte, they have mastered the art of crafting the perfect beverage. But it's not just the coffee that keeps me coming back – the food is equally outstanding. Their menu offers a fresh, creative range of options, from delicious pastries to hearty sandwiches, all made with top-quality ingredients and a real passion for flavour. What really sets Town Green apart, though, is the staff. They are simply the best! Engaging, attentive, and always ready with a smile, they make you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. What I love most is their sense of humour – they are genuinely funny, quick with a joke or a witty remark that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to your visit. It's clear they love what they do, and that energy is infectious. It's rare to find a place that not only serves incredible coffee and food but also creates such a warm and joyful atmosphere. Town Green Cafe is a true treasure – I can't recommend it highly enough!
