Honey bee in Cheshire East

The food was absolutely delicious and we had a really good deal in January for 50% off main meals which was so worth it! Staff were lovely, especially our waitress Ali, really polite and attentive and accommodating for us with a newborn.

Excellent food 😋 Especially the lamb shank recommended by Alison. What a great lady to have working for you ❤️

This is the second time I've been here the last time was a birthday celebration the service was good food good This time my visit to The Honey Bee greeted with a lovely lady ask us where we would like to sit to which u choose a lovely seat in the window with a delicate flower in a vase and a candle flickering in a lovey holder .The place gave a warm welcome homely feeling table service was fab the food was absolutely 💯 the nicest I've tasted in a while .I gave my compliments to the chef who I was told is called Bruno 10 out of 10 Bruno my steak was cooked perfect you are an asset the this pub thankyou again defo coming back 😀

Lovely cosy pub with great food

The Honey Bee is a lovely, clean pub. The food we had was delicious. Service was a bit slow, but the waitress was lovely. There is a large car park to the rear of the pub. A lovely garden to sit out in on sunny days. The Honey Bee is very close to Manchester Airport. My only moan was that the section we were sat in was very cold. I was sat with my coat over my knees. We will definitely be coming back.

Alison provides excellent service time after time. Industrious, efficient but with a professionally friendly service style.

Called in for a quick lunch. We were surprised to find that there is a 50% off (basically buy one, get one) all week on the mains menu. The staff were super friendly and when the food arrived, faster than we expected, it was, possibly, the best fish and chips that we have ever had in a pub/restaurant (we are 60 and 61 so had a few dinners 😁). The fish was a good portion, the battery crispy without the soft, oily bottom that so many have and tasted lovely and fresh. The chips were not the usual thin fries but hand cut proper chips a hot soft fluffy inside and a crispy outside. There was also mushy peas, tartar sauce, half a lemon. Salt and pepper and malt vinegar on the table. The rest of the establishment was clean and inviting with a warm fire. We used the seat yourself, order at the bar facility (on line app ordering is available) but were also made aware that there is a restaurant/table service option available. This is an exemplary service. They should be proud. We will definitely be back!

We have passed the pub on many occasions but not ventured in. We had heard good reports of the Sunday lunches. We were very happy with the meal, service and hospitality. The staff were excellent and the food was extremely tasty and well presented. We would highly recommend the Sunday roast.

I was staying at the hotel just down the road and decided to pop in at the honey bee for lunch. On arrival Ali showed a table , she was lovely and chatted to me. The service was quick and friendly. I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area.

I personally think this is a great place to visit, I have and still do visit twice a week and have done for many years. Alice is great and has a lovely team working for her. I would and do recommend it to anyone that asks. Give it a go for yourself.

Food warm my meat tough potatos white as if not been in long enough overall a waist of £50

There was only white bread, they should offer brown plus other options, e.g. sourdough. I was disappointed with my fish finger sandwich, very little fish, as a diabetic would have preferred either brown or sourdough bread.

We were so disappointed with our lunch on Sunday our meal arrived before we had finished our starters and it was just warm , the carrots were mush and potatoes hard we sent it back and fresh one arrived 5 min after our veg which were now cold again on previous visits it’s always been lovely so what happened have they changed the chef

Great restaurant located 5 minutes from Manchester airport, polite and prompt service. Food good quality and reasonable prices.

My wife and I attended Christmas lunch today and Macy was our server. We arrived 30 minutes early and Withington 10 minutes we had sat down to the table. Our server was amazing and attentive and the food was lovely and hot and we asked to have a break between courses and was granted . Would recommend to anyone and we have been going to the restaurant for over 9 years and will continue to visit going forward . Thank you Macy and the team for making our visit special.

We were staying at the nearby Airport Hotel and decided to eat elsewhere and saw this place on Google Maps so thought we would check it out I'm glad we did the food was out of this world and the lady who was providing the entertainment was a wonderful singer. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be back

The food was lovely and the staff were equally as good. Very happy. Even though the place was busy there was no rush to choose from the menu. We sat near the window and it was nice and warm.

We have visited The Honey Bee several times recently. Our waitress, on each occasion, has been Alison. Lovely, cheerful snd helpful lady who does her utmost to please. Food on each occasion has been great and we look forward to more enjoyable visits in the future

We used the HB for a family celebration meal, staff really helpful from my initial booking call. It was a busy Sunday, food and service very good, would gladly recommend.

Had a friend visiting and suggested somewhere different to where we usually go, I had heard some very good comments about it so thought we'd try it out, we were not disappointed, in fact very pleasant time and would highly recommend.

Absolutely the worst food we have eaten in a long time. The hallumi fries were so salty. Tiny pot of sweet chilli sauce. I know it was a starter but it was a tiny pot. My daughter had a very tired beef burger which she was tasteless. The worst was the sticky toffee pudding. Again the smallest portion of "creamy" custard. Custard was luke warm. Through we were sharing the dessert there was only 2/ 3 tablespoons of custard if that for a dessert costing £7.95, we asked for more custard, meaning this is not enough. We then found on getting the bill they had charged an extra £0.50 p!!!!!. The sticky toffee was dry and tasteless Non alcoholic drinks were over priced. The only positive about this place was the staff helpful and friendly. My advice get a job else where. We paid £30 for a meal which was barely edible. On posting to friends our experience tonight we were told it was well known the food was really poor at the Honey Bee. Wish we had told them we were going to save money and a spoilt mother and daughter meal out

We like the ambiance and setting of the Honey Bee Wilmslow, as well as their family-friendly environment. The staff are always kind, polite, and friendly. The food is always of good quality and the prices are adequate for it. On the day of our visit, the grill was not working which left us with limited options from the menu, however, we were still highly satisfied with our choices.

Everything you need to experience Liverpool nightlife. If you want it quiet, you have nothing to look for here.

My friend and I just want a quiet place to have a simple lunch and to catch up. The waitress gave us a lovely place near the open fire, but due to my hearing problems i asked her to give us a quieter place. With a lovely and understanding smile she brought us to the other part of the building and gave us a seat near the new lit open fire. We had a lovely time. Thank you so much!

A regular place for good food and hangouts with various friends. The service is great, Alison is always helpfil and funny.

Service slow. Roast dinner disappointing. Roast potatoes turnips barely cooked. Pork belly very good but the cracking so hard it was inedible. Returned to the honey bee yesterday had excellent lunch. Roast turkey dinner and sea bream all perfect. Good prices. Looked after by Alison- perfect hostess

Have visited for many years, have seen staff come and go! Jon, in particular, is always helpful and friendly - always makes us feel very welcome. The fish and chips is always tasty, extra special with a jug of lovely thick gravy. Husband always enjoys his roast dinners. Lovely location, plenty of parking and always clean and tidy. Back soon! Nice food, great service . 2 slight letdowns for Sunday dinner… Not enough gravy & miniature amount of horseradish when requested.

Very disappointed. A lot of the light bulbs are out so it was dark above our table. The food was very bland and greasy, couldn't eat it all. The service was extremely slow to the point on 2 occasions we had to ask where our food was. I needed the toilet which was upstairs, they do have a downstairs toilet for people with disabilities, again very dark as light bulbs hadn't been replaced. Sorry to say I won't be going again.
