Hobbs Boat Inn in Sedgemoor

We stopped in premier inn for six days.and had our meals in hobbs boat next door.and had breakfast and dinner. Meals were great.its a lovely place and the staff are great. Nothing is to much trouble.we would love to thank Dave and Jill on the breakfast shift . thanks for looking after us .we really enjoyed our selves and looking forward to seeing you again soon.evening meals we were looked after by maise and mille and michael.we love maise she is lovely young lady and looked after us every time we come in .she is great and look forward to seeing her again.like the rest of the staff .they are all brilliant we love coming here every time Special mention to Dave .thanks for looking after us .we really appreciate it.makes our break more enjoyable

I came today for lunch at Hobbs boat with my direct payment worker lady. I order a starter Calamari, for main squah spanich and ricotta lasgna with side salad and garlic bread, for pudding a crunchie cheesecake with ice cream and to drink a j20 orange passionfruit. My direct payment lady for main had a jacket potato with chilli and to drink a orange juice and lemonade. I used my points cards. I wished the had tasty rewards card as a app on my phone.

We really enjoy a family meal here every so often as it caters for everyone. Really good value, lovely food and great staff. The steaks are particularly delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Had a last-minute stay at the hobbs boat near weston s mare. Staff were well mannered. It was my birthday and the wife asked to do something special, so they did, which was very nice and no problem for them. Food and service very good. And a shout out to poppy. 5* service. If back in area we will return.

Stayed for one night at the premier inn and had dinner and breakfast at the Hobbs Boat. Right from the start the staff were attentive and caring. We were too early for our room and went for a drink and on learning that our son who is severely autistic and non verbal was sensitive to sound, the manager offered to change the levels of the music to suit and said anything we needed they would accommodate. At dinner the waitress Maddie was aware already of his sensory struggles and was attentive and caring throughout. They made him toast as this is all that he would eat, even though it wasn’t on the menu. Not only were the staff caring and supportive to our families needs the food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient. We will definitely return next year. Big thank you to Maddie and the manager. You were great.

After not getting here for a couple of years - we visited to celebrate our daughters 7th b’day. Happy to report that the food and drink did not disappoint and we had a great meal - but the icing on the cake …. the staff. They made a real difference and made our daughter feel special and were great with all the kids … many thanks Mike for keeping the Father-in-law in his place!

Mother’s Day - once again we visited Hobbs Boat to treat my Mum for a Mother’s Day brunch. Incredibly busy today but the staff were on it. Everything served in tip top order and despite staffing issues refreshed buffet as quickly as they were able. I’m a business customer for Premier Inns and This restaurant and hotel top my place of visits and stays. I rarely leave reviews but would like to thank all staff for a job well done. Thanks for looking after us. ✅

Took my mum out for a mother's day meal with my 2 children. Although it was quite busy the staff were absolutely brilliant. The host Mike was very funny and kind. Our server Mazie was absolutely amazing, she was kind, funny and couldn't have been any more helpful she was superb with my children who are 6 and 12 making my youngest laugh a lot. The food was fantastic very well cooked. The price was very reasonable we will definitely be returning here again.

Visited the Hobbs boat with my sister tonight whilst passing , never been there before , very busy but managed to find us table , I had a large mixed grill which was excellent, my sister had a rump steak which was also excellent all cooked to perfection, superb service with a smile , which is nice to see , great value for the food and drinks we had , Kathy and her team were great !

This is our second time to this restaurant and both times it has been amazing. The food is great always good quality and well presented. The staff were friendly and attentive. Well done to the restaurant manager for doing a great job with his kitchen and restaurant staff. Will definatley be coming back.

We ate at Hobbs Boat recently, and we enjoyed our meals. The waitress (I forget her name, but she is from Yorkshire) was very friendly. We'd return again if passing.

A great restaurant with good food and friendly staff. Mike the restaùrant manager tries to ensure that you are satisfied with everything, and his staff follow his lead. The menu would have something for everybody and the staff ask everyone if they have any food alergies to ensure their safety. All in all I would recommend this restaurant, which is part of the Whitbread group., also has a Premier Inn next door.

We had a lovely meal here with the family. 4 adults, a new born and toddler in tow and Mike made our meal special and looked after us. He made sure we had space for the pram, ensured all foot was cooked how we wanted it… sent gammon back to be cooked a little more but it came out lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Food was nice and came out hot and well presented. Menu was varied and pudding delicious with lots of custard as requested. The staff chatted to us politely and complimented my little boy (age 3) for his manners and for eating all his dinner up. They gave him a box of sweets at the end - very lovely of them. We are regulars here and have always had a great meal and great service.

I've been here twice now and found the staff really make the difference. Cara, Lexey, Mazie and Kathy were welcoming, friendly and fun. The food is as you would expect and comes out promptly, hot & well presented. As a solo business traveller it is nice to have that little extra. Well done team keep up the good work. Really homely and warm place!! All staff were welcoming and have an amazing sense of humour!! The hospitality was brilliant!!! Two weeks in a row we have tried to go for breakfast to be told a menagerie of reasons why we can't have food. We wasted our time and energy trying to eat here without good reason. Also if a company is serving food until 11am then don't tell us before then that you have stopped food. That's not how it works.

Good food and excellent staff. My partner has Gluten and lactose allergies and Mike certainly went above and beyond to insure her meal was free from contaminants.

Great food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are all very efficient but spend the time to have a little chat and see how you're doing rather than just rush you to order. We stop at Hobbs Boat regularly and the hospitality we receive is always fantastic. Their lunchtime menu is amazing value for money and they always make our son feel really welcome, really going above any beyond. Standout food includes the fantastic sharing starters and the great value for money children’s menu. There is plenty of parking at this pub and you’ll receive fantastic hospitality and service.
