Henry VI in Windsor and Maidenhead

A group of seven of us called into one lunch time as was not far from where we had moored up for a few hours. We were looking for a decent pub that was showing the England ladies football, decent beer, dog friendly that served food, oh and we had a vegan in the group. No problem at all said the manager, we can do all that, and as its Tuesday the handmade pizzas are two for one!! Everything was superb, the beer and pizzas were excellent, the vegan enjoyed his, we all enjoyed the football sitting outside in the covered beer garden, even the dog was happy. A very warm welcome from the staff as well. EXCELLENT ALL ROUND

Went in a small group and our server was called Mary. She was fantastic, super attentive and made the experience so much more fun. The food was good, came out quickly and there was a good mix of options. The cocktails were really well made and again the options were fantastic! Highly recommend it for bottomless brunch.

I just want to say how welcoming the manager and team are at this pub. It was our first time here and we really enjoyed our visit. The manager introduced himself as Ryan then welcomed us to the pub and ensured everything was to our satisfaction. The bar staff are all very friendly. We will definitely be making another visit when we are next in the area.

Bottomless brunch is great value, pizza is good with a wide range of drinks, catering for all tastes including cocktails, beers and ciders. Service is great and a lovely pub that also will show sport.

Need somewhere to watch the football and found this place in Eton as we were visiting the area. Great garden bar. They only do pizza but it was nice and had a real with a beer for £2. Sweet

This pub is such a friendly place to come for a drink right on the Eton high street. I did not have food but the drinks were great with such friendly service. Definitely recommend if you are in the Eton area.

Dropped in Sunday night and saw a musician setting up. Not a bad night all in all, it was an open music event and quite nice and relaxed

We were looking for a local to have some lunch, and went into the Henry VI pub. Mary did a great job taking care of our food and drink needs. The drinks were generous and the two pizzas we had really hit the spot.

All the proper covid rules were observed and we enjoyed the hospitality that was om offer. Pity the lad taking orders didn't understand the difference between beer, ale and lager but we got there eventually. Bit of a student bar, but nothing wrong with that.

Visited on weekend away on a recommendation from locals, dropped in Sunday lunch to see if they were showing Rangers game that afternoon.Couldn’t have been more helpful & explained ok until Liverpool game started at 430pm.Even reserved us seats when we returned later next to tv screen.Drinks great & pizza they make to die for!Huge thanks

This is the pub nearest my house... Inside is great, the beer garden is great, the staff are great, the foods decent, there's a couple of tvs in case you want to watch some sport.. And there's loads of live music, of all different genres. We visited on the 14th and saw rock tribute act Ransome, who got the place rocking. Decent pub

I come here a lot and its always great! Friendly staff, nice big garden, fun place to watch football and the pizza is my favourite ever! Definitely recommend!

Popped down for the football (our first visit) and was generally pleasantly surprised. Garden was really nice, good screens - and busy but not packed. The real letdown was the staffing levels, clearly had about half the people required to run the place meaning there were no glasses, lots of detritus, empty plates, glasses etc littered the place and it took an age to get a drink. You would have thought that on the first weekend of the season, when the sun is out they would have been properly staffed. Didn't ruin the day, but did take off the shine.

I'm a sucker for a pub with a great outdoor area, amazing and affordable food, friendly service and a good beer selection - and The Henry VI offers this all and so much more. The garden offers generous space with a choice of covered or uncovered areas, and being a suntrap, is perfect to spend lazy, boozy afternoons with friends and family, not to mention the perfect place to host a celebration. I recently hosted a birthday party here and it could not have been a better venue, the team ensured that we had a great area, all the guest were accommodated, including the kids and even allowed us to bring in our own silly birthday cake and decor :) You can never go wrong at the Henry VI, from the outstanding service, scrumptious food and awesome live music line ups - you'd be greatly amiss to not visit.

Popped in for a pint and just loved the atmosphere. In a great location with comfortable seating.Well worth a visit.

Pasamos a comer algo en un viaje a Windsor. El personal muy amable. Tuve una masa fermentada que era genial y mi esposa tenía una fuente con jamón y queso. Ambos fueron excelentes. Buena selección de cervezas de barril, así que el almuerzo era 20. Y tuvieron el Gran Premio de Mónaco en la tele en una parte del bar, así que, en general, una gran visita.

Good pub. We were there twice time. There was always a band making music. That was nice, but close to the band very loud ( and you had to go close to see the band, because there were playing in one corner of the pub.

I really like this pub. Great beer, good food though it can be a long time coming when there's a big match on. Good televised sports coverage, very friendly staff. Nice beer garden with TV outside when football and rugby falls on a sunny day. In pub terms there really isn't anything not to like - especially for sports fans.

Tasty Italian meat board and smooth drinks while watching NFL live is a perfect recipe for Sunday night. Staff accomodated our request for which channel we wanted to watch. Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere. Just as we like it :-)

We were in Windsor on a Sunday - sightseeing (tourists from the US). England was playing in the World Cup that day, and we knew we had to watch it in a pub. My boyfriend asked around town for the rowdiest pub, and Henry VI was suggested to us.

While we hated to see England lose, but we definitely appreciated the friendly staff at Henry VI in Eton. They offer a variety of ales and ciders... and I even happened on a bottle of Lagunitas IPA! Wait times at the bar were minimal as the staff were working hard to get drinks and food out to everyone.

Been in a couple of times. Staff are very attentive, there is a good range of food, beers etc and often some good open mic and music nights. A good local bar, though it can get very busy during sports events.

Bartender was fun, drawing the shamrock or "hello" on the Guinness. Good wifi. Can't comment on the food but the menu looks good especially the adult ice cream.

The Henry VI Eton High Street Fantastic Great Old British Pub Has a massif outside area and has quiz's and live music at weekends good beer & limited food menu & the burgers are very good and tasty

This is the second time we've attended a Quiz Night at the Henry and we enjoyed both visits. There was a friendly informal atmosphere - well done to Ben for a really good fun quiz.

We’ve been to Henry V1 on many occasions; it’s a firm favourite when we’re visiting Windsor and Eton. We walked here from Windsor station, as rugby fans, as it’s always a great pub for watching sport.

I dropped into the Henry VI one lunchtime with some time to kill before a meeting. I suffer from intermitent back problems (spinal injury) and the staff couldn't have been more helpful in making me comfortable. The bar person "Lottie" was so friendly and enthusiastic that I stayed for an extra drink after finishing my meal. I did notice that the chef was quite hairy, but thankfully no rogue curlies made it into my delicious pizza!

I come here all the time and have had many nights with my friends and for birthdays. The atmosphere is just right, staff so helpful and willing to make me alternative food options as I’m vegan. The garden is perfect in the summer and there is always a nice crowd down there. I’d recommend it as a perfect spot for birthdays, work parties or just for a night out with friends. The live music and sports always seems to go down very well too! My favourite place in Windsor/Eton

I have come here on two occasions now, each for drinks only (not to dine). The last time was on a Saturday night where we wanted to get a feel for Windsor and Eton nightlife (there isn't much to speak of). The staff are so friendly and accommodating, even for those ordering non-alcoholic drinks, such as hot chocolate or similar. ;) Recommended for a chatty evening in a genuine and friendly environment.

Great night with a great band (KD) A lovely pub in Eton, very busy with the band playing but there weren't enough staff behind the bar. Atmosphere was brilliant with people of all ages enjoying themselves. We mainly go there in the summer when the beer garden comes into its own, but otherwise a great pub.

We attended the Henry VI for our staff party this week and I can honestly say we couldn't have chosen a better place. The staff were friendly, the venue itself was perfect. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to have a drink or hiring out for your own special occasion.

The company I work for challenged me to come up with an alternative location for a staff party. I decided to move the event away from the usual black tie event and instead went with a a Hawaiin themed party. From the moment I stepped into the Henry VI pub the staff couldn't be more accommodating. Each person we encountered showed 1st class hospitality and a keen interet in sales. We were looked after very well and allowed to decorate the hotel to suit the theme. The drinks were very good value, and the pizzas delicious. I highly recommend this venue/pub to anyone.

Went to the Henry for our staff party and everything was fantastic. The bar staff were very friendly, it had a great ambience, and the drinks had alcohol (what more can you want!) I recommend this pub to everyone

My company held their Christmas party here I had a great night. The staff were really friendly and helpful and very welcoming. The venue itself was ideal with a fairly big dance floor even though the pub itself is quite small. there is plenty of seating area to. The big screen opposite the bar is ideal for watching sports and events. Overall great place and nice staff i will be coming back.

We went here for a colleague's leaving do and they had a BBQ in the beer garden. Food was great and we did not have to wait long even though it was busy. Definitely recommend.

Stopped in here for a light dinner while watching a Premier League game on TV. Pizza was pretty good, ales were nice. It was open mike night in the back, but the sound of the music didn't interfere with watching football in the front room.

I held my friends baby shower in The garden and it was perfect we had the outside bar and bbq for burgers. They also do pizzas! They went above and beyond with helping us make it perfect. It was the perfect venue for the event and we will definitely be returning. The staff are fabThank you so much

We had a walk around Windsor after eating at the fabulous Bel & The Dragon and decided to pop into the Henry VI for a drink. We walked in as a young lady called Ellie finished a singing spot and said she would be back after her break. Had a nice glass of rose and hubby had a pint and it was a nice atmosphere in there. Ellie came back about half an hour later, didn't talk or anything and started strumming on her guitar and singing. Was dreadful ! We finished out drinks and left.Nice pub without the musicFoxyfox10

Sadly it's changed hands since our last visit and the management need step it up a gear. When you only serve pizza and a choice of 5 burgers it's poor form to run out of chicken leaving only 3 burger options. After ordering burgers we were advised there was a half hour wait.... when they finally arrived we asked for salt and vinegar for the fries only to be told they had run out of vinegar too.

We went and watched the champions cup final as John is big fan and of course Lisa and I went along with him
