My daughter and I went for lunch. The meal was nice. A bit expensive but thats how much things are these days. The place has a butchers which although expensive the meat looked good

Visited for a light lunch and found service to be outstanding - could not have been more helpful or accommodating for someone who had recently had a hip replacement. Food was excellent and coffee to finish was piping hot. Will definitely return.

...although I note that they are all over a year old. I can only say that on my two visits the food has been no more than OK - Wednesday's prawn cocktail sandwich was tasty, but the pastry on the sausage roll was uneven and thin and fell away from the filling. But it's the service which is the real let-down. I called in specifically to buy some good local pork, as 'The Butchery' is a key part of their offer. I enquired of the butcher whether their pork was outdoor-reared... and he didn't know! Granted, he went away and promply returned to confirm that it was, but surely he should know its provenance on the spot? Moving on to the coffee shop, I ordered an extra-hot latte but received a drink that - when I immediately tasted it - was barely warm . I asked for it to be re-made as it wasn't hot enough and was told in an off-hand manner that a) that was due to the triple-insulated cup and b) that having it any hotter would involve scalding the milk. Neither was true, but the point is that it should have just been replaced. I run a 5-starred B&B, and if a guest has an issue, I apologise and address it; I certainly never push back with an objection, let alone two! So, really, don't bother with this place. You can get great coffee (and service) at The Friendly Loaf nearby or at Wright's on Cornhill - both local and independent businesses that take pride in giving real customer satisfaction.

This has changed a little from a restaurant to a farm shop although there is some seating outside to have coffee and cake. The cakes are always nice and usually have a gluten free option. The bread and french stick by the friendly loaf are delicious, proper bread ! There is a good selection of other food including meat and fruit and vegetables. Worth a trip out.

Don’t really know why there is a review complaining about the food and drink- I have been here every week since it’s opened and never ever could I fault the food, service or drinks. Always been 10/10 and portion / drink sizes are always more than expected. Very impressed ! Will always recommend to my friends and family.

Amazing cafe with amazing staff. The food is good quality and very good portion sizes for the money. It also makes a nice change having a big cup of coffee. Highly recommend

Have visited twice now, the first time for drinks and cake and the second for breakfast. The property is nicely decorated, clean and the staff are friendly. Good so far. On our first visit the drinks were ok but small and the cake was a bit stale. Second visit was for a breakfast, not good. How can you muck up an English breakfast! Overdone cheap bacon, overdone ok sausage and cheep catering beans plus an egg. The only good thing about it was the toast. A requested large coffeè came in an egg cup. God knows how this place gets any good trip advisor reviews.

As Hennessy’s isn’t far from us, it has become a favourite haunt. Great customer service and a good menu. Their daily specials are really good too. The chill is particularly lovely and the fresh baked goods are always a delight. Friendly people, relaxed atmosphere, good food. What more could one ask for?

I arrived at Hennessy Lifestyle at ten to nine this morning. The sign said Open but actually I was early and they were still closed. However I was quickly served an excellent cup of coffee in lovely surroundings and my day got off to a good start. Lovely place and brilliant service - thank you!

A group of us visited Hennessey's for their 80's event night back in September. The venue is great & modern, all the staff are so welcoming, friendly & professional. There's a great choice of drinks available and the food on offer was delicious! Couldn't fault a thing, will definitely be back - a great place for a range of ages! 5 star's all round.

Very welcoming service. Good choice of healthy fresh food. Comfortable seating in an airy environment. Plenty of parking at the rear. Best ladies toilet I’ve visited in a long time. We will definitely pop in again for the bacon avocado bagel and a fresh pot of loose leaf tea. Manipulating the menu was not a problem which meant we could have exactly what we wanted.

Visited yesterday for lunch, I had a delicious ploughman’s lunch. The ham was really good and unlike some ploughman’s I’ve had, it was filling! There’s a variety of platters to choose from and my husband made up his own and had with a lovely glass of white wine. (Individual little bottle) . We’ve been here lots of times before and would also recommend their breakfasts.

Visited this place for the first time today with my other half. The coffee and customer service was excellent, and one of the nicest breakfasts we have encountered for a while. Would 100% recommend and will be visiting again.

Took our friends for a light lunch after previously enjoying a first visit but unfortunately cannot say the same about our second visit. Considering a good few of the choices involved bacon and sausages we were told they had neither. Surely something so easy to store should be available. White toast was ordered and WHITE toast arrived! More like warm bread. Also the service was very slow. Sorry to say will not be making a repeat visit.

We visited for lunch and were not disappointed. The food was tasty and well presented, we had the blt on the specials board, the ham and cheese toasted sandwich and the jacket potato. All of us were very pleased with our choices and the sandwiches also came with salad and crisps. My son also had a slice of victoria sponge , there are a nice selection of cakes to choose from too. In addition the staff are very friendly and helpful. We will certainly visit again.

A great little cafe during the day, but it comes alive at night with their music evenings. We booked for the Robbie Gladwell Bistro evening at Hennesseys. What a great evening, music was first class, Robbie was entertaining and we sang along to all the favourites, followed by dancing after the meal. The venue, the atmosphere, the food and staff - couldn't have been better! Thank you and when's the next one

Great place for Saturday brunch, Sunday roast, Burgers, Afternoon tea and Surf & turf. We have been eating here for years and have loved everything we have tried. One of the only places I have visited with a large group of family members where everyone unanimously agreed it was the best meal they have had & still talk about it years later. Service is great & staff a friendly, if you haven't eaten here you need to!

Decided to walk to the nursery from Stanton, and what a lovely day was made out of it! We stopped at the cafe to have lunch, and the food was lovely. Nothing fancy, but was warming and fueling after our walk. The staff were lovely, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We were able to do some crocheting, and ended up staying until close! Would definitely like to come back again!

★★★★★ I visited The Nook during a group cycle ride, and we were warmly welcomed. This place is a gem, offering a great choice of hot and cold food and drinks in lovely surroundings, complete with attractive artwork on the walls. I had the Cornish pasty, which was piping hot, delicious, and generously filled. The fresh and crunchy salad that accompanied it was how I liked it. As someone who enjoys supporting independent businesses, I highly recommend this fabulous coffee shop. It’s a must-visit if you’re heading to the barn next door or looking for a cosy spot with delicious food.

Went to hotel chocolat bury St Edmunds with my friends for a hot chocolate, my friend asked the man at the counter if you do white hot chocolate, to which he shortly replied 'look at the board' This to me is rude and poor customer service. To me a reply like 'yes we do, what size would you like' is more reasonable. Maybe hotel chocolat need to check that their employees are happy. I cannot understand why would said person work in the retail industry if he doesn't like being asked a simple question. If someone asks if you do white chocolate hot chocolate they are pretty much saying that's what they want if you have it
