Very welcoming, very good value and lovely food, particularly the breakfast brunch! The coffee is excellent and I was pleased to note they had oat milk!

£21 for three cream teas. Nicely presented by a friendly staff member but inside wasn’t the greatest atmosphere and the place looked like it needed redecorating, it just looked a bit shabby and cramped. Where I sat on the table my backside was almost directly at another persons eye level due to the positioning of the chairs. This was a bit awkward!! The scones and tea were tasty but sorry they were not worth £7 per person even taking into account their overheads !

I would like to add to my friend’s review. I thought the price for a small scone and butter was disgusting at £4. We live nearby and meet up weekly for coffee, always supporting local coffee shops/cafes. I can honestly say we will be driving past in future and stopping at the ever popular cafe at Godrevy half a mile further on.

My friend & I want to Hell's Mouth cafe this afternoon, for a coffee, & decided to have a plain scone each too. It was my friend's turn to pay. For two coffees & two scones it was over £14, which we queried, as we thought it was extortionate. Although tasty, but not that big for the price, it wouldn't have been as bad if it had included jam & cream. When the coffee & latte arrived, it wasn't very hot, I didn't like to send it back as we'd already asked about the price. Very disappointing & shan't be visiting again. 😪

Popped in here hoping for a quick bit of lunch before heading off somewhere else, unfortunately this took a lot longer than expected, with us waiting around 30 minutes for just 4 fish finger sandwiches. They didn't seem to be overly busy with food orders either so not sure how it could take so long. Would prefer not to be spending this much time waiting around during the day whilst on holiday. Sandwiches were average, bread not great and at £5 it was a bit overpriced for a takeaway. Lady serving was friendly and apologetic at the wait time, which was nice, but doesn't solve the issue.

This cafe used to be amazing and we’d visit at least 2-3 times per holiday. We knew it had changed hands and wanted to give it a go had lunch and it was okay but quite expensive for what it was - we tried to have breakfast but the staff member was so rude to me we left without having anything - it’s put us off so much we won’t come back again it’s such a shame been visiting for over 10 years prior to this!

We came across this cafe after walking from the Godrevy National Trust car park. It took us about 45 minutes to do the walk. It was quiet when we visited (weekday in October and not school holidays) but the food was still cooked fresh and was beautiful. We came for lunch today. Very busy as expected on a bank holiday Monday, people complaining about the serving time for food. However we were told a 30- 45 minute wait and it did arrive in this time. All of the four adults had the seabass fishcakes which were delicious. Very small portions however with a tiny amount of salad so more like a starter. Very disappointed that no menu for children. Mine had to eat just chips! Very friendly staff so do not agree with the reviews on the new staff. Lovely menu as well.

We decided to visit Hell’s Mouth to see the amazing views. After doing some research before we left I found the Facebook page of this cafe and decided that even though I couldn’t find the menu online we would give it a go. I am so glad we did. I had scrambled egg and smoked salmon on gluten free toast. It was the best breakfast I have had out for a long while and there was plenty of it which was great. My husband had a cooked breakfast which he thoroughly enjoyed and he felt that the bacon and sausage were of top quality. So it is well worth a visit. A walk along the cliff tops afterwards made a it a perfect morning.

This has always been one of our favourite destinations (see my previous reviews) but sadly this trip was disappointing. Very slow service, I think every customer seated outside was either brought the wrong order or their parties meals all arrived at different times. Perhaps most disappointing was the attitude of the the young chaps running the place which appeared to be "whatever" when people voiced their concerns. They had also run out of cold cans, a warm Coke on a very hot day isn't what you want. Sad.

After a walk around Godrevy we drove along the coast road to Portreath and Porthtowan and passed this little cafe in the middle of nowhere. We couldn’t find quite the right place for lunch in either of those places, so we drove back to Hells Mouth. We were very glad we did, delicious buttered mushrooms on toast and a pot of tea. We didn’t find it too expensive either. I asked if they were open all year, as we often take out of season breaks in Cornwall, but was told they are closing this weekend (4th Nov) until March. The only comment I would make is that it would be good if it said on the tables that you need to order at the counter....we waited several minutes before we realised that nobody was coming to take our order, and when I went to the counter, that’s when I saw the sign! We will return!

Shocking attitude from the staff towards me and my children all they did was drop an ice-cream custom lost never again.

Found this delightful upstairs cafe by chance and had some of the best vegetarian food for a long time. We were made very welcome and chose the hummus bowl and roasted veg toasted sandwich. Both were excellent and very filling.

the only place open on a Sunday on St Martins! So glad it was open, it was absolutely heaving but we got there in time to get seats and what was left of the cakes and drinks.

I've only ever called in for a beer but no complaints so far and staff are nice too. There's a big beer garden which is very useful for the kids and dogs.
