Advertised various vegetarian options on the menu, but if your veggie option had a certain je ne sais quoi it’s because all the items are all cooked on one hot plate along with the bacon and various other meat. Don’t visit if you’re veggie.

Found this cafe on a walk past the Hatton Locks and decided to try one of the famous scones with a cup of tea. Absolutely delicious. The rest of the menu looked great too, with reasonable prices, so we hope to come back! Lots of outdoor seating right on the side of the canal.

On the way in they talked about their fabulous scones, so I was hoping for a good cream tea. Despite eating in, we were served drinks in takeaway cups. The jam and cream were already served into little paper receptacles, and the plates were paper as well. It felt like they couldn't get us out fast enough. It wasn't like this poor service was reflected in the cost either. Advertise scones, suggests some sort of cream tea, which should be served in cups, on proper plates. The scone was OK, but not as good as it should have been.

A nice cafe situated on the banks of the canal overlooking the locks. Quaint and quirky with items hanging over the ceiling/walls most of it for sale. Couldn’t eat all my cake as I was stuffed so brought it home. We then went for a walk along the canal with the fabulous volunteers. What a lovely kept place this is. We sat outside even though it was raining and windy The wasps were out in force but I was enjoying my food too much to care Will be back soon, hopefully it’ll be on a sunny day to have another great lunch, go for a nice walk and watch the world go by along with the ducks and sheep in the field opposite.

We have eaten there twice before having a wonderful full English a few years ago so were looking forward to another. Having completed the hatton flight we moored up and made our way to the cafe we could see the bill board stating full English so I went and found a table outside which there were plenty, my wife went in to order when she returned she said they are not doing a full English so she ordered a breakfast roll which was egg sausage bacon we also ordered tea and coffee, my wife was annoyed that when she went to pay the lady said that will be £19.50 my wife said I don't think so when they added again it was £13.50 they apologised said must of pressed wrong key my wife was sure if she did not question it she would of been overcharged by £7. when the food arrived I must admit it was worth every penny and set us up for the rest of the day don't think they really went to any great lengths to make it covid safe as people were standing outside with very little regard to social distancing but it is clearly a very popular place and a lovely place to watch the narrowboats go through the locks we will go there again but just make sure we are not over charged

It's lovely to support a non chain - and in this case, this cafe really deserves it. I went there today. The fried breakfasts and bacon sandwiches being eaten around us looked great - however I had chicken curry with rice and naan which was fabulous and not bland, followed by an iced fondant for pudding. I didn't rate the coffee only thing, but I am a total coffee snob. I think they might be grinding it and then leaving it in the drum too long, so maybe next time I'll have the filter and not an espresso-based drink. I really would recommend this place though and can't wait to go back! The service was really friendly and attentive and the food top notch with mince pies (Christmas time) on offer for pudding and Yule log. Really yummy food and a gem. Dog-Friendly too.

Stopped here for breakfast, such a lovely setting by the canal. Cafe is clean and quirky. They have blankets if it’s cold so you can sit outside and towels for wet dogs too ☺️Staff were friendly and food was good the only downside was that there was no gluten free sausage but they substituted for gluten free hash brown I will definitely return
