Lovely pub with friendly staff. Food was delicious and service great. Lots of choice on the menu too. Will definitely go back.

Came to the Hatherley for a work meal. The staff were very friendly, food was lovely and the service was quick and easy. Lovely atmosphere, clean and tidy pub with a great vibe. Will definitely bring the family here next time.

We like the Hatherley, it is our local pub but we are completely and utterly fed up with it claiming it is dog friendly - what a total joke. With a small, well behaved dog, we are confined to what used to be the public bar, with big groups of loud men standing around us f'ing and blinding, while the rest of the pub is empty. My wife, my autistic daughter, my 87 year old mother, my in-laws in their 80s and I do not find that dog friendly, or friendly to us as a family in any way. We find it totally despicable. Can you please change your policy so people with dogs can sit anywhere except the table service platform, or stop pretending you are dog friendly.

Great food for great prices and a wonderful time out with the family. Amazing customer service as well especially for a bar Woman called Paula who was really nice and made us all laugh. Would recommend

The Hatherley put on a superb buffet for 25 people to celebrate my late husband’s life. It was a wonderful afternoon from beginning to end and I’d like to thank the marvellous staff, especially Megan, for making sure Mike had a good send off.

Lovely atmosphere, good food, great service (thanks Elliott) - fabulous to have a local we can rely on time and time again!

There is a Great atmosphere, great drinks, good food and amazing staff. I Would 100% recommend visiting the hatherley.

Ordered food, 20mins later they said they ran out of turkey, had to pay more for the gammon as the put the original order through wrong, Absolute joke.

Visited Easter Sunday, pre booked the table for 5 adults. Food was lovely, waitress was lovely, but there simply wasn’t enough staff working that day. The restaurant was fairly busy, not packed though, our waitress was doing the best she could, but we had to wait a long time for drinks and for our table to be cleared. There was a 30 min wait for food which was explained to us. We didn’t order a dessert in the end as it took them so long to clear the table (took away 3 plates then 20 mins until the other plates were cleared). Frustratingly one of the waitresses spent a lot of time stopping and chatting to someone sat near the bar area, really not good when her colleague was so busy. It won’t stop me going back, but perhaps not for a family meal.

One of my favourite places to have a nice quiet drink. Always met with a friendly smile and made to feel welcome. This has to be one of my favourite Greene King pub x

My wife and I have rediscovered the Hatherley after many years. We popped in for food several months ago and it is now a firm favourite we have visited many times. We visited on Saturday with friends, it was quite busy which to me is always a good thing. Without going into too much detail there was a slight issue with my food. I spoke to the manageress who was lovely, a credit to Greene King, she could not have been more helpful and accommodating which we really appreciated. These things happen, but it is how they are dealt with, in this instance the service was exceptional. To that manageress I say thank you and we look forward to seeing you next time.

The food wasn't very good. The pub was dull and very cold.We sat next to a radiator but it wasn't on !

Went with Family for Grandsons birthday. Staff very helpful and dinner was great. No long wait, food was tasty and hot. Great inside and outside. Thanks to all who served us that day. See you again definitely.

Visited 02/03/24: booked a table for dinner but was seated in the free for all area with no table service and as a disabled person, this wasn’t what I wanted obviously. It was very busy so I guess they didn’t have enough tables but they could’ve done table service for us with the accessible requirements. The food was okay, nothing amazing. Family enjoyed theirs and they had large portions (mac&cheese recommended but not picture) I had the hunters chicken which wasn’t good as seemed old and reheated so guess I lucked out with my particular choice. Parking can get busy and we managed to take the last space. The pub itself is accessible which is great because it’s a hard thing to find these days! A smooth slope for the rear entrance. Pleasant accessible toilet with a radar key left in the lock.

A huge thanks to staff at the hatherly Cheltenham, accommodating my family at short notice for my aunt’s 70th birthday celebration meal , the service was excellent the food was excellent and the whole evening was excellent, The Hatherly Cheltenham I thank you for making my Aunt’s evening memorable and enjoyable Megan and Paula and team 👍the cross hands Cheltenham let us all down as we all arrived (16 booked in for that evening) but again well done The Hatherly Cheltenham 👍

Wonderful place to visit in an excellent location to chill and be yourself away from the hustle and bustle of London.

Not what it used to be. No more mobile ordering, limited menus on Sundays, hardly any staff. Greatfield near Morrisons is far better.

Good food, reasonably priced and a great selection on the menu. Good variety of drinks and Service is amazing every time.

Went for the quiz on a Thursday evening. Unfortunately I really do not recommend attending. Barmaid wouldn’t switch a Diet Coke to a Coke Zero because the payment had been made, despite this drink being out of a gun and costing the exact same price, the drinks then took about 10 minutes to be made. I’m sure the quiz master was a nice guy but every question was repeated at least two - three times without it being requested and the gap between questions was painstaking. A quiz that could’ve easily been done in half an hour was dragged out to span 2.5 hours, perhaps in the hope people would hang around and buy drinks which was the last thing I was inclined to do.

This local pub has had a refurbishment. Very friendly staff and welcoming. Dog friendly and a good range of drinks and food. The usual Greene King menu but a good price. A pub is only as good as its staff and this pub hits the mark where they seem interested rather than just basic gratuities.

Big improvement since last time myself and my husband came here last night for food, was delicious can feel a big change has been made. Food was tasty staff was very helpful. Great job team!

Nice little pub. Food is cheap. Handy as it's local. Post covid they have done fantastic job. The current landlady is really lovely and very welcoming. Much better than the previous misery who ran it. 5 stars for service, happy smiles and good food. And I love the selection of gins xxx Update since the refurb this place is always jam packed. You need to book ahead. There's a lovely heated seating area and small play area outside for the kids. The food is fab and there's a great atmosphere

Unfortunately the food was over cooked and nobody came over to ask was our food ok or did we need any sauces or anything so we had to ask. I’m not sure if the pub has been taken over but we are usually regulars but found the lack of customer service and terrible food has put us off. It’s nice to come for a drink but we won’t be eating here again.

This 'pub' serves restaurant-quality food within a 'pub' atmosphere. Food is served promptly, and piping hot, and the bar service is SO friendly and warm. I thoroughly recommend it.

Came to watch the football and had a great meal, served with speed and efficiency with nothing but a smile. Great staff here and twice I was checked upon about how my meal was going. I booked a table for NYE. It was extremely busy so was expecting a delay on the food but it came out quicker than expected and the steak I ordered was perfect. Staff were really friendly dispute being busy. It was a really great place to see in the New Year. 🍑

Spent Christmas day here with the family and the atmosphere was fantastic. This is the first time I've had Christmas Dinner at a pub/restaurant on xmas day and from my experience at the Hatherley I will definitely do it again. The staff were all friendly, helpful and so accomodating, we didnt have to wait for dinks , the food was delicious and the timing between courses was perfect We had such a relaxed, fun and festive day and that was thanks to all the staff there 🍑

Had a meal 6/1/24 ordered a mixed grill for myself and my partner had a bacon and cheese burger.. I was disappointed with the mixed grill as I had 9 chips and the steak and gammon and chicken was cold and the side salad looked about 10 days old not good value for the money won't recommend or be back

Outstanding service from front of house Cullian with a guest with mobility issues and very strict dietary requirements. Nothing was too much trouble, everything was double checked and he took care of us from start to finish of our visit. The best service we've had in a pub in ages! Thank you!

On Friday night around 18:20 (10/11/23) our young boy experienced a very upsetting time in the Hatherley pub. He was repeatedly ignored by a few bartenders whilst waiting and raising his hand for attention (it's his turn) for a glass of water. Those bartenders were all prioritising the adults, rather than serving him. After 10 mins waiting, he came back crying, saying it's not fair - they all looked at me, but chose to ignore me. I've made a complaint to the manager about this unfair treatment. If encouraging your child to get some water by themselves from the bar in the Hatherley, I hope you don't also experience this poor service. Really put a downer on the evening and won't be eating there again!
