Will never understand when you enter a restaurant or cafe the tables are littered with used cups, plates etc and then when waiting staff bring your order and then return to the kitchen empty handed.😡we made a return visit here and on a very busy day, what a change, all tables cleared of debris staff efficient and cheerful, so 5 stars this visit and no complaints. Thank you.😊😊

.A very nice cafe, close to the beach at Reculver. .Toilet facilities for everyone for free. .Parking. There are plenty of parking spaces but very pricey, I paid £13,00 for five hours. .The ancient Reculver landmark not far from the carpark. .The restaurant has lots of hot and cold drinks, ice cream and cold drinks and ice cream for dogs and is dog friendly even in the sitting dining area. .Lots of seating on benches outside, although I think there is a need for a few more .If you like crepe's,(pancakes)then try one as they are delicious, with various fillings, vegan, and vegetarian available options, too. .A very good place to start a walk along the Saxon way which I really enjoyed and is very well looked after, and return for reviver of tea, coffee and a hot chocolate, which was really good and a cake of course! It's a really great play area for kids to go on and have a picnic close by, too. .Overall its a great improvement since my last visit some time ago.

Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff engagement could be improved upon. When we arrived, we didn't notice where the high chairs were. We asked and were told they were in the seating area, as walking away, there was a massive burst of laughter from the staff behind us, it might not have been directed at us, however, me and friend felt a bit judged by our question. It was only until we left and discussed the situation that we realised we felt the same way. When ordering food, I was told to take a seat and everything would be brought over to the table. Our drinks and panini's came, however, our crisps and cake didn't. After finishing our panini's and waiting a little while longer, I ended up going to the till and asking when our cake and crisps were coming. 3 members of the team were behind the till talking as there were no customers to serve and I assumed they thought they have sorted all the orders. I raised that we hadn't received some of our order, instead of saying 'sorry, I'll sort that for you now', I was told to get the crisps myself and then had to remind the staff member of the cakes we had ordered. Myself and my friend felt a bit like an inconvenience which is a shame as the food was delicious! We both said the cake was the best chocolate orange cake we had ever had. We understand everyone has a bad day and this may have been the reason for the service we received. We will be returning in the summer and hopefully it will be different then. The cafe is a great bird watching spot, great for dogs, and it was nice to see a sign in the window welcoming breast feeding mothers.

Popped in for a warm drink after a walk along a very windy walk along the coast. I asked for a butterscotch hot chocolate, but they were out of butterscotch, so I opted for a hazelnut one instead. My partner chose a plain white hot chocolate. Both drinks were generously topped with cream and marshmallows, and tasted delicious - just what the doctor ordered after a walk in the cold! Also a special shoutout to the girls behind the counter. They were perfectly polite, apologetic about the butterscotch (even writing "sorry :)" on my cup) and overall left us with a very good impression of the cafe. We will definitely be visiting again next time we are walking in the area!

Been coming here for a long time. It has been sadly going downhill fast. Today my smoothie was thick Juice, no ice and tasted awful. Left it. My friend had a coffee and it was luke warm which we have experienced a few times now and usually have to ask for a hot hot chocolate or hot coffee. Visit many times per week But honestly thinking twice about having anything to drink once we walk here. Last week my other friend had a crepe and it was like a pile Of crisps. Sadly again lost some Customers today. Please sort as we loved getting here after our walk and having our drinks. So sad 😢

I really do love this place, Quick friendly service, delicious coffee and cakes, decent prices and a lovely location. I Love that dogs are allowed in the seated areas! If I had to nitpick, I’d say the seated area could do with better windows, but obviously the option to sit outside is always there and plenty of seating, so certainly not a deal breaker by any means! But would be nice to be able to take in the view from the tables. My favourite place for Coffee.

This coffee shop/café is sited to serve those visiting the Reculver church tower/Roman remains. It is also on the main coastal footpath about midway between Whitstable and Margate, so nicely-placed for a coffee/cake stop if you're waling. Great views from the café and its outside seating. So whilst staying nearby to Faversham have visited 3 Hat Hats sites and found the m all super! Coffee is fab and the staff are lovely! Reculver cafe, staff dealing with a popular area and queues…but have it down to a tee re: efficiency in serving people with a smile. Next stop was Whitstable Harbour, kiosk housed in a mini food/independent stall holder unit…again same experience. Lastly on our exit from the area and final run about for the dog was the kiosk at the Rugby club! Super find do not miss them if you see them.

Visited here on a Friday Morning as I was working outside, looks kind of a quirky place to have a cafe within, however do not let that put you off I had the full breakfast and it’s probably the best breakfast I’ve had this year by a country mile £12.50 and that’s with a tea not overly massive but it’s delicious none of that deep fried rubbish like other cafes do. Plenty of seating inside and out the back part also there is an upstairs, it’s like a tardis there. The two ladies were very polite and friendly. Its just situated down from the bakery on the high street definitely worth a visit if your in the area. Wheelchair accessible is a no go in my opinion however each to their own. There’s a car park opposite but apparently it’s expensive.
