It's a really nice place to eat. I had the mixed grill and I found that the food wasn't that hot apart from the chips, although it still taste amazing. Our waitress was lovely, really polite and made us feel very welcome. Her name was Cody.

Food was OK no issues with allergies as a previous woman had gone through the pain of having to use a tablet to find out what was safe, however difficult is it to put what is gluten free on your menus, you are happy to put what is vegetarian or vegan on there, those are choices allergies are not a choice

We waited for well over an hour (without being forewarned that it would be such a wait), hardly any people in the restaurant either so no idea why - when we complained the food eventually came (cold!), and was wrong, a spicy sauce and chillies all over my sons food which wasn’t meant to be there, meaning he bit into it and nearly cried but we were so hungry he tried to eat it anyway. Nobody came to check on us either so we had to hunt someone down to complain about this. When we complained they removed the cost of the wrong dishes from the bill but it meant we still paid £40 for food that was cold and we had to wait for for so long. Definitely won’t come again.

Terrible in every way. The worst pub lunch I've ever had, and that's not an exaggeration. Sirloin steak was overcooked and sides were dreadful. Atmosphere non existent, and place is falling apart. In need of a major refurb and chefs who can actually cook. Staff member was crying, presumably becasue she knew how bad the situation was.

I cannot comment on the food, nor the service, as I didn't see either of them during my visit. If I could give less than 1 stars, I would. We waited for 20 minutes for a waiter to come over and take our order, we gave up waiting so we just used the app. What a mistake that was. For over 50 minutes we waited for our food, with people who were here after us getting their food. Some food did turn up, eventually, but it was completely the wrong order and no explanation was given, the person just walked off after discovering it was the wrong order and didn't come back. I've been here a few times and never had anything to complain about, but service on this relatively quiet day was absolutely appalling. I was promised a refund, too, which guess what? Also never came. I had to use a chargeback.

Food came out fast and was hot and lovely! Michelle was very friendly and even told us about some vouchers we could use if we downloaded the app.

We booked a family dinner to celebrate a birthday and a wedding anniversary. The meal was not good, however, our server ,TALISHA, was amazing! We can be picky and want to make little adjustments to our meals but it was no problem for her. She was super friendly, even after we complained about our food, efficient and just all out great. She helped make the evening easy and relaxing despite being run off her feet. Next time we go I certainly hope that she's our server again and if you visit you might be lucky enough to get her! After a shaky start the restaurant was surprised when I asked about disabled access today. I have been to this particular harvester several times so I know that the lift for disabled customers is on the side away from main entrance. I said that the lift door was locked and had to struggle up their stairs. Someone had accidentally closed the outside door so lift couldn't be used to go up or down. I received a huge apology for the inconvenience of having to struggle up the stairs and the lift access was sorted immediately. Thank you so much. I was offered a quiet seat near the disabled bathroom and the lift back down and because I was a solo diner. Brilliant thank you. My salad was brought to me which was nicely chilled and fresh tasting. I was offered a drink as compensation for my inconvenience. My steak was cooked to perfection and the blue cheese sauce was yummy. Thank you staff for turning what at first was a very negative experience into a very positive. You couldn't have done more.

Excellent service from Michele and very good food

My wife and I came here for breakfast. It was not busy, just a few customers which nice for us. The service from Cody was very friendly and efficient and the kitchen staff quickly produced a lovely breakfast.

Michelle our waitress was fantastic couldn't be more helpful looked after the 3 of us. Food was a lot better than I expected. Definitely will be back.

Used to use this Harvester when we lived in Hilsea so it's been a few years since we last visited having moved away from the area, however, it was the choice of my daughter who we were dropping off at university. We were greeted warmly, having booked a table for 1930. However, once seated, we waited over 30 minutes for a member of staff to come to our table and take our drinks order, and due to the time we had waited, also our food order. Our waitress, name unknown as no name tag was worn, was rude and was trying to leave the table before we had finished ordering. Four meals were chosen, mostly overcooked. My own was a choice of 3 small plates, haloumi fries, overcooked, fried calamari, breadcrumb coating burnt, but calamari undercooked, not sure how that is possible! Other diners waited 45 mins for their food to be brought to their table, then had items missing. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but was dirty in appearance, tables left uncleared, decor worn, food waited under heat lamps for over 30 mins before being taken to customers. For this pleasure, we paid £75. Had it not been for a long, tiring, and emotional day, I would have had the strength to complain. However, the manager was nowhere to be seen. Overall, it was a very disappointing service from a food venue we used to enjoy visiting. Will not be returning. I'd recommend staff be reminded how to interact with customers.

Met an old friend to catch up and wanted reasonably price food and not to be rushed through our meal. The waitress Vicky was really lovely and helpful . I definitely recommend the halloumi skewers and the deserts were large size portions at a good price . Clean ,friendly and food came out hot and fresh would visit again

The food was quite poor took ages and was a bit meh, however Ryan's service was amazing, he is the most genuine funny guy. He deserves a raise!!

We had an amazing experience at The Harvester, thanks to our server, Michele. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great meal. Her warm personality really added to the atmosphere, making us feel right at home. The food was also fantastic—delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. We especially enjoyed the wide variety of options available. Overall, Michele and the quality of the food made our visit truly memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Our experience of this place was just a laugh it started out ok but just got worse, The food was not to a good standard had my steak meal was replaced and still not good we asked for for a dessert service and got ignored.

My wife and I went for breakfast this morning since she has been home she has been constantly puking up. She had the egg Benedict this morning and it was swimming in hollandaise sauce my breakfast come out warm worst breakfast I have had in a long time definitely won’t be coming back that’s for sure.

Its a harvester same old...the foods always good for the price...this one the salad bar seemed fresh the resturant was kept nice an clean an our waitress Maria L was very good...service with a smile made sure we had what we needed throughout the meal without bein up our arse...very good 😁

We booked in advance but waited almost 1.5 hours for food to arrive. When it did arrive, it was tepid at best. Items were missing and you could tell by the dryness it had been kept under the heat lamps far too long. The staff were a credit to the company and did everything they could to resolve the issue for us as best they could.

Ryan was lovely, could maybe not call us my loves so much but he was very attentive and helpful. Food was delicious and good value.

This needs a total revamp,decor tired and old , 1986 want there threadbear carpet back . Server was scruffy,shirt not ironed or tucked in and showing his arse most of the time,get a belt ! Tables were sticky and cutlery dirty . Service was ok and relatively quick. Food was good. Management take note it's not the 80s we expect better

Food was excellent as always. Service extremely slow despite not being busy. I understand our order was lost, resulting in a 45 minute wait. But to give them credit where credit is due, they made up for it by not charging us. Thanks guys! 👍

We were a group of 13 with various allergies and made sorting the bill a bit tricky, but Ryan was very patient and attentive ane polite. He made the evening very pleasant!

Great location, great restaurant with Parking, area for kids, back garden, great views! Above average food, however we went at lunch so I can only assume the quality would be better at prime hours!

Nice meal for a family birthday. Good range of options on the menu but the salad bar was a low on/out of a number of things. I alerted a member of staff to this and they set about replenishing the items.

Lack of waiting staff which resulted in cold food chefs swearing in the kitchen . Waited 20 minutes to get our drinks as no barman atmosphere was tense as waiting staff was only do thier best but unfortunately not enough of them for customers to get meals hot we saw loads of food on the pass for at least 5 mins before being taken to customers. Suggest get more staff !!!

Quite pricey and the meal portions aren’t exactly the biggest. A refillable soft drink was over £4 which isn’t the best either. I appreciate the free salad bar but I assume that’s to get the customer full and not worry about the size of the main. My family and I waited at the front desk after registering our vehicle for over ten minutes to be shown to our tables despite the restaurant being less than half full and then another ten minutes after that to be asked about drinks. After many years away, I am still very shocked about the customer service experience in the UK.

Sat outside on the balcony it’s a lovely day. Not to busy, lovely view over Langston Harbour. Food was served fresh, hot and extremely tasty. We had the ultimate combo proved too much food for us. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 took some home for later.

Used this place for years but my god it’s absolutely crap now!! Meals are half the size, salad bar with is now a former self of what it was and staff and absolutely no love for the job! Came for my birthday and realised how down hill it’s fallen!

First time visiting as we were passing through. We waited ages to be served at the table. We were given no cutlery to eat, long wait time for food, but the place was near on empty. Food was nothing special, like a microwave dinner. After our main we waited ages to order desserts for the children. The member of staff cleared half the table, then never came back. We had to go and find someone ( again) to help. Unfortunately, we won't be going back again. Poor service, poor atmosphere, and basic food. 😢

Me & my partner were served by Julie, she was very lovely and polite. Food ordered was ult mixed grill and double beef classic burger; the food was delicious with a great portion. Restaurant has a great view from the windows and even better when sat outside. We visited on a Tuesday at around 7.45pm so it was very quiet and peaceful. Passion fruit martini was also very nice. Wait for food was just enough to get some salad and wait for it to go down before the main meal. Would highly recommend for an all rounder restaurant. Update we came back a second time and this time around we were served by Debbie. Very lovely waitress with great manors. Although it took a while for our food to come we were very happy when it eventually did come. The presentation of the triple combo was lacking a little but the meal was very nice. I’m sure we will return

Unfortunately they had problems today with the kitchen,had they told us wouldn't be so bad but after a hour I had to ask where our breakfast was,was told the problem and still another 10 minute wait and after all that the breakfast was poor

As you would expect from a harvester pretty much. Salad bar and decently priced food. There is a nice view out over the water.

Food is below average, the bar staff can't be asked to serve customers, that's if you can find anyone at the bar, amd the chios are way expensive for such a tiny portion which look like they have been cooked twice, awful never again.

Had a lovely meal out with the children after visiting the seafront for the day. Debbie was amazing! Thank you it made a good day even better.
