Harvester in Brighton and Hove

Our server Ayla gave us immaculate service she was very attentive, charismatic and funny. Would definitely come back again for her !!!

Very convenient location. Happy to cater for larger parties (10). Delicious food - great choice. Only downside was chips were only just warm. Lovely server Christina got us 2 fresh bowls, but even these were not much warmer and looked microwaved.

We went there on Friday 1st & Saturday 2nd November, for evening dinner. On both visits, we were served by Trish. She was friendly, attentive and informative. The food was hot and delicious! A relaxed atmosphere and a pleasant experience.

Came on our holidays to not so sunny brighton in november. We were served by Christina who absolutely made the harvester a 10/10 and was one of the best servers we have ever had she was so smiley and kind. Thanks Christina <33 She also gave us the lovely recommendation of the hot honey corn bread and it was divine☺️

Are server was really good and reliable she let us know if something had ran out of stuff and all so told us how long are food would be I think her name was ayla.

Went for meal as a walk-in. Was greeted warmly and shown to table. Christina was our waitress and she was so attentive. When there was a delay on the meals, due to lack of chefs, she was constantly coming round to apologise and keep her customers informed and updated, she was excellent, so a big shout out to her.

Christina was absolutely fantastic! Her friendly demeanor and attentive service made our meal at Harvester a delightful experience.

We have been here many times before but our waitress Christina was friendly, polite and chatty, good was hot, filling and tasty, would wholly recommend .

I walked into this Harvester on a Friday evening around 7:15 pm, expecting a lively dining experience. Instead, I found myself trapped in a real-life episode of “Restaurant Nightmares.” After standing around for 10 minutes like a piece of forgotten furniture, someone finally noticed our presence —only to vaguely wave us in the direction of the bar. No menu, no instructions, just a nod that seemed to say, “Good luck, you’re on your own!” It was like being dropped into an escape room, except the only thing I wanted to escape was the restaurant. At the bar, which was as deserted as my enthusiasm, I eventually discovered that ordering involved scanning a QR code on the table. Great. If only they had mentioned this before I considered chewing on the coaster (oh, wait, there was only sticky residue on the table). After finally cracking the code to ordering, my refillable drink cup arrived—complete with a stylish stain on the rim. Nothing says “bon appétit” like a side of mystery grime. And it didn’t end there. Salad bowls? Nowhere to be found. White bread rolls? Extinct. Staff to ask for help? More elusive than a unicorn. Cutlery? You wish mate. To be fair, there was one waitress who seemed to be doing everything short of cooking the food herself, but she was so overstretched that she might as well have been trying to bail out a sinking ship with a teaspoon. To add to the confusion, I watched as new customers were turned away with a firm “no available tables,” even though the place looked like a ghost town with dirty dishes and abandoned food orders piling up everywhere. I half expected to see tumbleweeds rolling through the dining area. And then there was the food—what little of it arrived. The wings were missing in action for what felt like an eternity, and when they finally made an appearance, they were so dry and burnt they could have been mistaken for relics from an archaeological dig. Trying to find someone to complain to was like hunting for a needle in a haystack, if the haystack were on fire and all the needles had quit their jobs. To sum it up, this place is a masterclass in how not to run a restaurant. I won’t be coming back, and unless you’re in the mood for a dining disaster, I’d suggest avoiding it like yesterday’s reheated leftovers.

We've eaten here many times and have always had good service and food, and have usually been able to eat in without pre-booking. However, last Sunday it was below par. It was very quiet for a Sunday lunchtime so we were able to get a seat in the bar or the restaurant straight away. We ordered at the bar and was served by a very polite and efficient young man. Unfortunately, we were told that they were out of chicken (on a Sunday lunchtime!) but more was being cooked and would be another half hour or so. We were given our bowls for the salad bar but on visiting found that it was mostly empty, as were the rolls and butter. Other customers had approached a member of staff and asked for everything to be refilled. Had it been really busy, this would have been understandable but there were very few other customers and plenty of staff. Apart from the bar tender and a new member of staff who was being trained, most of the staff seemed to stand around chatting to each other. Another customer had to ask for napkins to be refilled in the bar area too. Not the best experience here today.

It was a lovely service and they did a wonderful job on allergies but the cheese tomatoes large pasta shells it taste nice but I just felt there was more sauce then pasta but overall will go again

Actually one of the best Harvester meals we've had food was good and hot, salad bar was well stocked - waitress was lovely! Restaurant is ideally situated for the Pier

Came in for breakfast . The lady at the door and Christina were both great ! Food and drinks came out in good time and all meals were hot and well cooked . The only let down is the decor inside which definitely needs a re vamp as it’s worn and tired but will return based on good food and service

Christina and Luigi were brilliant, very attentive and helpful, and the food tasty. Lovely to look out over the sea while eating dinner.

We went to Harvester for my son's 4th birthday and had a wonderful time. Food was great and there was a great family atmosphere. Our waiter Flavius however, made it the most amazing day- more special than any other restaurant. He came out with a balloon a gift bag full of treats for my son and even bought my husband a pint of beer after finding out he had just finished chemotherapy. Thank you so much Flavius for giving us such a special and memorable meal.

Trish was our waitress and was by far one the best we have ever been served by. Kind, professional, friendly and most importantly never in a rush! She made our lunch time very nice. Thank you Trish!

Booked here for my boyfriends 18th birthday surprise. The waitress Jolanta was lovely and did everything she could for us. The chef made the dessert pretty and wrote happy birthday on the plate. Fabulous service from these two - couldn't have asked for anything more!

Lovely meal and very nice views of Brighton seafront. Our server Flavius was very attentive and so welcoming, he gave us recommendations for the sundaes which was very helpful as we couldn’t decide! Flavius’s recommendation of the Rocky Horror was perfect, so tasty!

I enjoyed the scampi as it was a very good sized portion, and the peas had a nice texture to them. The brownie and ice cream I had for dessert were a good ratio and the bread was really nice.

Went in there today to look to see if it was nice to eat there lady with classes shouted at me in front of customers ill be with you in one minute the way she said it was very rude this was about 11am 25/3/2024 also the guy on at same time was not very good in his people skills I hurd him say to over customers who came in thay can't sit we're thay wanted to sit because it was for 6 people the place was empty how can thay say that to potential customers the place also looked a bit run down do not go there spend ur money on a better place

Food and service was really good. India was a very good hostess. All the food was hot and even with changes to the starters it wasn’t a problem.

Not extremely busy for a Saturday so we were sat quickly. Service was good and food was alright. Nice for a chill evening out. Would’ve liked for the table to be cleared before desert but that wasn’t an issue for me.
