Me and my son thought it would be nice to grab a nice drink at Harris & Hoole. I had really high expectations for our visit! I was extremely disappointed with the customer service skills of this young man serving, he barely spoke or smiled. My coffee tasted like burnt coffee, made me feel sick 🤢 never felt so rubbish after that experience. Sort it out harris and Hoole!

Visited with my Mother who is disabled and struggling to walk. I was disappointed that there was no Gluten Free offering apart from a couple of biscuits. The young lightly bearded young man who served me was concentrating on other thing in the cafe whilst serving me. I sat down with my Mother and he called out our two teas order. I indicated where we were sat (5yards away) he brought the drinks over and said “collect your drinks next time” I think a little more focus on customer service wouldn’t go amiss. Certainly not the quality or level of service I would expect, even in the more basic establishment. Too blunt, no please no thank you and despite being relatively quiet messy floors and grubby tables.

Awful experience on my first and only visit. I made a very simple order of Cappuccino with soya milk, the next customer ordered Cappuccino with Vanilla. When the drinks where ready the customer behind me jumped up to collect the Soya one. I also stood up and was shouted at by the staff member 'ITS NOT YOURS'. He totally embarrassed me in-front of the other customers, I did not expect to be shouted at so I sat back down, after explaining that I ordered the soya cappuccino. When the next drink was ready with Vanilla. Nobody came to collect it. The man with the soya realised he made a mistake. I said again I ordered the soya cappuccino. No apology was offered, the man with a heavy cold and the wrong drink offered to hand it over, bless him, but he took the drink back. I was offered a fresh coffee, but when it was brought over it was luke-warm, Discusting! I will never visit there again!!

Popped in to grab a coffee quickly and ended up paying £2.40 for a small thimble of filter coffee. The coffee is good but not worth £2.40 for fours sips. It was also not hot so that was a disappointment.

The good- the coffee is very nice , especially the Ethiopian blend. The bad the customer service is terrible after waiting 10 minutes to give my order with no queue I left without ordering. There was one member of staff working there were other members of staff available but they were glued to mobile phones it wasn’t busy and was told numerous times that they would t be long. Unfortunately this proved not to be the case when I left (quietly and without fuss)the barista sarcastically shouted after me- bye then.I have used this shop before and the staff seem to treat it like a social club rather than a place of work- I won’t be returning.

I went here twice during the same month: I had a passable mocha with a good cheese scone the first time and a cappuccino with a pain aux raisins the second one. The first time the service was not so good: they seemed not to be concentrated on their clients even if just a few table where occupied, the service was quite slow. The second time the ladies behind the counter were a bit overwhelmed because of the crowd, I can understand their difficulty to follow everyone to the best of their abilities. Not bad, but personally I prefer other chains of coffee shops.

This is the kind of coffee shop the McDonalds advert mocks brilliantly. Run by a beyond pretentious bunch of clueless millennials who think they’re doing you a big favour. As the only person in there this morning they still managed to make me queue and then get my order wrong. It’s worth a visit just to see 1/10 customer service in action. Oh, and it’s filthy too.

Everything time we visit this particular Harris + Hoole, we are always greeted by friendly staff, served in reasonable time and the coffee is always fantastic. Unfortunately, every time we visit, the tables are dirty, covered in crumbs, coffee stains and sticky. The chairs are littered with crumbs, the floor also. Behind our table was a display of gifts that you could buy and to our horror the gifts and shelves covered with a thick layer of dust. More attention to hygiene is needed desperately.

Shame about this store as the other H&H have all been very good, the server was lovely however the tables hadn't been cleaned in sometime and the barista was busy mopping the counter with a mop that she'd just mopped the floor with, cakes looked nice but I was scared to order one after witnessing this.

I went for lunch in this reall good looking rustic cafe in Tesco with my son. We sat at dirty tabkes which were only cleaned as our food arrived and only because i asked. I had the soup which immediately went back because it was cold. When it came back out of the microwave, the bread roll was missing and i had to ask for it. When then coming to butter the roll, both knivews which had turned up were filthy.

H+H is just inside the Tescos store and perhaps the first time I patronised it, a Great British Bake Off contestant appeared. Not a book signing, but simply grabbing something to eat/drink like the hoi poloi. If it is good enough for a denizen of the GBBO tent, then the rest of us should be happy enough. They may occasionally forget to warm the toasties through, but they are sometimes under-staffed and doing their best. A good place to grab coffee/snack before shopping.

I'm sure this coffee shop is in Tesco's and not the Ritz, dammed expensive coffee, circa 20% more than Costa's and Starbuckes, tries to be trendy and working with the community, but needs to review its prices, until it does give the coffee a miss and donate the monies to a good cause, such as Cancer Research rather than lining the pockets of Harris and Hooles directors

Coffee was hot and appropriately adorned with various foamed dairy products. Tea was in a nice pot and came with free refills. Fajita wrap was surprising good even though it came from a hot cabinet thing. Staff were excellent. Friendly, happy and very helpful. Despite being in Tescos this is a nice place to have a coffee and a cake or a light snack. You might expect it to be noisy, but even when fairly busy it is pretty pleasant. On my previous visit to this coffee bar we had enjoyed delicious croissants and superb coffee and these were served in a most friendly fashion. I intended to compliment the staff members concerned but they must have changed shifts, so I took the opportunity to do so last week whilst awaiting a delayed flight. The service was, once again bright and cheerful and we spent time at table helping to console a gentleman who'd been upset at border control security. We were most surprised when we were approached and invited to have beverages "on the house". This was such a positive offer and was greatly appreciated. Thank you to all the staff.

I visited this place again after the trip to the shop of Tesco. I was welcomed by the staff but this time seem to have a short memory of what I ordered. I wanted a marmalade cake and coffee. But when repeat my order the said banana cake and coffee. I corrected them but then I think they lost their train of thought today. Looking around the store was clean and table are free of food from passing customers, I still think the order of the coffee displayed on the chalk board make slightly confusing just to order a simple coffee without milk. Is it be easier to write americano or filtered coffee. I may be getting old these days as the amount of different selection an varieties of same coffee but called different names. The coffee taste was good and when served from the coffee making area if prompt and pleasant. The range of cakes and sandwiches are reasonable. Again there our a lot of people here from all ages and are enjoying the experience. I think the music in the background of sort heavy metal guitar band was a bit over top for a trendy coffee shop. But hey it might be just me getting old.. Or the timing of visit.. I will come again soon.

Come on Harris and Hoole management, you have a prime spot in one of the largest Tescos in Surrey with a huge foot fall from shoppers and hospital visitors but your café is very understaffed. When we went in there yesterday, for the first time, there were only two people working their socks off. They were very friendly and helpful but how could they possibly prepare food and coffee and clear the tables at the same time. What a shame, not a very effective way to run a business. Our coffee was cold but we did not want to complain because there were so many people waiting for their coffee and the poor man could not keep up with the demand.

The tea looks like grey water and tastes no better. It is revolting. Brought to table (not served by staff, we had to bring it to table) with goldfish bowl sized cups, two so called tea pots which looked like mini cafetieres (weird) and various sand timers in different colours. What is that all about? Not enough tea leaves in the water so far too weak and sickly. All we wanted were sensible sized tea cups and a teapot, or a teabag in the cup. The word pretentious leaps to mind. Staff behind counter couldn't give a fig, waitress apologised. We wont be going back, and it seemed that the staff couldn't care less if we did or not.

I visited the newly opened cafe as I passed it while going shopping for the larder essentials. It has a very spacious room for you shopping while you take a break pushing your trolley. The staff are very happy and where very good in greeting all the customers that arrived in the cafe. There is a small range of various food from cakes to sandwiches to small bread rolls. The decor is very pleasing and I was trying to get a sense of the room that it was trying to depict. The tiles on the floor and the old style farmhouse tiles looking reminds me of the kitchen ready for your mums food to be presented on the big wooden table. There is a great selection of beverages on offer and there is the great reliable Tesco Wi-Fi so if you do want to sit at the long big deep light brown sofa and write a review or at least read a newspaper. This place has recently just opened so it very clean and helped by the efficient rota of the staff in collecting the used crockery and ensuring the tables are clean and ready. My carrot cake was good moist and surprisingly good and fresh.

Food awful. Shall never eat here again. We have been dining here pre-show from the days when it was a proper restaurant. Now it is 'a cafe' but the standard has fallen disastrously, even for cafe food. This week was the 2nd time in 3 visits when we have been unable to eat our food - overcooked ready food, dried up, hard and visibly burnt. I don't know how any self respecting cafe would put food that is so obviously dried up and burnt, in front of a paying customer. Complaint was met with a refund and a smirk from manager. Not an inspiring response.

The coffee was good but I had to wait at least 20 mins for it after they had given my latte to someone else. I had to speak to a rather grumpy waiter about three times to get him to eventually bring my latte. When I complained I was told it was my fault as I had moved tables. I had but I was still very close by and only to comply with the cafe's request that our running group should be in a particular area as we also had a walking group with dogs. Watching everyone receive their coffee when these people had ordered theirs a long time after me was not a great experience. I raised the matter in a polite way at the end but nobody was prepared to offer an apology.

We were in Ripley to visit a family member and popped in to the Half Moon for a quick en route. Well priced beer, good environment, and more to the point a proper friendly landlord and landlady. Wish we had a pub like this nearer to where we live, would never be out of the place. Would most certainly return if we were ever to be back in Ripley.
