Harriets Restaurant At Gatwick Moat House Hotel in Mole Valley

Staying at a nearby hotel chain that had no eating options we ventured into Harriet's and from first entered - hand sanitizer & signage everywhere making you feel that company cares. We had to text a code to number that would be kept for 1 month as we did not have NHS app. Food choices were pub grub selection but all very tasty. The girl who served us was happy & cheerful and made us feel welcome.

Clean. Clear signage everywhere. Hand gel everywhere near all touch points staff and customers all wearing face coverings in all communal areas. Friendly helpful staff. Food was very nice and staff in restaurant and bar friendly and helpful would not hesitate to revisit

Comfortable stay, bar staff accommodating, Cod & Chips ordered arrived quickly, and was very nice, a decent Gin & Tonic

Food reasonably priced for a hotel, friendly and helpful staff! The food arrived quickly after ordering and tasted great with very generous portion sizes!

Was staying one night at the hotel so came here for dinner. Wasn’t really expecting much but the food was quite good. Only down side was the terrible staff and service. There were 6 people dining in total in the restaurant and we felt like we didn’t exist. The two workers weren’t at all taking there job serious with constant jovial yelling at each other across the room and just no real care for the customer.

Dirty, they pull the dirt of the table on the floor. The start are arrived with the main course, then one of the two is coming cold. 35 pound x start main courses and 2 beer.

I’ve stayed here before, and eaten in this restaurant and it was lovely. Very different visit today. Unfortunately the restaurant was shut, so it was just the bar menu and a set 2 course menu. I chose to eat from the bar menu. I had 4 cheese pizza, which was huge!! Tasty enough, with a side of onion rings. The pizza and onion rings was easily enough to be shared between 2. I then had sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. Next time I wouldn’t bother. It was standard supermarket ice cream, and barely any toffee in the pudding. Pretty expensive too. I saw a just eat delivery arrive at reception, I think that’ll be a better option. Such a shame when it’s been a decent restaurant in the past.

We stayed for the night before flying early from Gatwick. We are using the hotel so stopped in for a wine and dinner. The main restaurant had a brilliant deal 2 dine for £29.99. We opted for bar menu as we fancied the gourmet sandwich and chips which worked out the same price as the deal once we had ordered wine. Food excellent, service wonderful, wine was really good for the price- very happy customers! Many thanks

Staying in a hotel nearby and came over for our evening meal. We were served immediately and our food swiftly followed. We ordered the two dine for £29.99 which included a starter, a main and a drink. The soup was lovely and the main was also good. Both large portions. Staff were friendly and helpful. It has a relaxing atmosphere and joined by a bar area round the corner.

My review title tells you how impressed we were with our visit to Breakfast at the above Hotel. We travel and stay in Airport Hotels regularly but never had a better Breakfast than here.

Do not go near it. The worst meal in the UK we have had From inedible chicken to undrinkable wines. I know it is a 3 star accommodation, it does not rate a 1 star. Also read carefully if you book the airport shuttle to Gatwick it is not free it is 3 pound per person each way.

OMG please don't do it . Do not eat here !! Get something from the garage outside.The restaurant looked the part but the food was disgusting ..the fish was grey and thin , everything was tasteless even the cocktail, the price does not match the food 's value , spend £5 in the garage it's win win , I promise.

We had a very good Sunday evening meal with friends - everyone was well satisfied. Generous portions; freshly cooked and pleasantly served by delightful waitresses. The Sunday Roast was a very large plate full. A sensible selection of reasonably priced wines completed the meal.

Used the restaurant when staying at the airport inn my wife had the set menu special which was ok but nothing special. I ordered a prawn cocktail follow by a ribeye steak. The prawn coacktail only contained small black shrimps about 7 in number the rest was made up of lettuce and tomatoes no it was expensive. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium it came out over cooked and very tough, the chips were soggy only the mushroom was cooked properly. Will never use this restaurant again is not a patch on the one in the premier inn

Decent food and at a decent price but without being memorable. Service was somewhat confusing, but once we got everything ordered it was OK and came without too much delay. The place could do with a renovation as overall it just seemed tired and dated.

The restaurant looks plain with tables which look a bit like they are out of a transport cafe. The food was ok but suspect it is all ‘frozen’. If this is the case it’s a bit pricey.

Trevlig och avslappnad miljö med personal som är ganska välkomnande och intresserad. Menyn är vad man kan förvänta sig på en hotellrestaurang.

There is a good sized restaurant and bar. There is a fantastic set menu which is great value and includes a drink. Had a fish cake for starter which was reasonable but had better. The main however was fantastic had steak pie and mash. The pie was really good with plenty of meat and great mash

The special deal for dinner, which includes drinks is excellent value. The meals are fine and the service good.

This is a large restaurant serving the Gatwick Airport Inn. Having used these facilities previously when using the hotel we did not hesitate to eat here again using their special GOOD VALUE MENU!

the set menu is excellent for the price, and the quality is reliable. We have yet to be disappointed - but we'll keep trying!!

Door de slechte verbinding naar London City en hulp van de receptie, gekozen om bij Harriet's te eten in het bar gedeelte. In de buurt was er ook niets te vinden.

I popped in for a meal which I thoroughly enjoyed and which was reasonably priced for a hotel. The staff were extremely pleasant and efficient and the ambiance nice. The only problem I had was with the temperature in the restaurant as it was cold, the ladies at the next table also commented on this. Although I will definitely not be staying in this hotel again I would eat in the restaurant again.

A one night stay in the Airport Inn and having undertaken some research on TripAdvisor and read the web sites of local Inns and similar we decided to give this restaurant a visit.

As it was a Sunday me and my wife thought we would try the roast dinner which turned out to be nothing more than a reheated ready meal. The chicken was so over cooked and dry..... Then we had a cocktail at the bar.. £12 for a mojito and a strawberry daiquiri which all came out of a pre mixed carton. Definitely needs alot of improvement. Should have ordered pizza instead :)

Just came from Venice stopping over the airport inn Gatwick. Maybe had enough cold or semi-heated food in Italy. The restaurant in airport inn served was super warm that made my heart comforted. Nothing fancy about he restaurant menu but warm food matters!!!

Great place to eat, lovely spacious restaurant and bar area, staff very pleasant and helpful Small menu with excellent choices, Breakfast buffet style, plates and utensils to hot for our elderly family to hold.

Nos alojamos en el hotel como en un vuelo temprano por la mañana. Teníamos dos ifadap por 29 libras. 99, incluyendo una copa de vino. Para empezar compartimos empanadas queso brie y gambas que eran preciosas, guarnición, en el bastante pequeña ensalada de queso brie,...

Este restaurante es parte del hotel nos alojamos en el aeropuerto para hacer una parada de una noche. Estaba muy limpio y acogedor. El personal era muy agradable y eficiente.

Aprovechamos para usar el restaurante del hotel durante su estancia en el hotel una noche. El restaurante tenía un ambiente agradable y una buena variedad de alimentos, que estaban bien presentados. Hemos experimentado un rápido y eficiente servicio de personal. Lo recomendaría como un buen comienzo para sus vacaciones.

Maten och restaurang var inte mycket att ha. Vi tog "sunday roast" det hade varit godare att köpa micromat på Lidl för 20kr, det smakade nästan som färdigrätterna man köper på supermarket. Jag ger upp hoppet totalt på engelsk mat, har varit i England flera gg och har blivit besviken varje gång.

The food was your average british fair but very hot and quick service.The batter was lovely and crisp on the fish and the beef and ale pie was very tasty.The staff are very sweet and professional.The only disappointment was the dessert.....sticky toffee pudding......not much toffee, bought in plastic food with cold custard.......such a shame when everything else was very nice.

After being seated we waited more that half an hour without being offered a drink. A couple were then seated next to us and the order taken in one minute. Back to my room and ordered pizza!

Stayed in the Airport Inn before flying abroad the following day so thought we would give the restaurant within the hotel a go despite seeing the previous negative reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was good and they had a lot of variety. The staff were really nice and attentive. Would definitely stay and eat again.

While the dinner service was acceptable/average, the food was sub par: fatty and grizzly lamb chops and soupy, bland chicken jalfrezi!! Ugh, especially having just spent 10days in France. What were we thinking??? However, there was a front desk special on Full English and we wanted to eat prior to flying so we bought in. Apart from the sloppy beans the breakfast was generally OK.

Staying here b@b .. so only had breakfast .. really not the best and at £20 well over priced .. hot and cold food available .. not had evening meal and don't intend to ... it taste like value food not to my taste .. don't like being negative but sorry no positives in this one

This is a welcoming restaurant in the Airport Inn at Gatwick offering good value meals when taken as part of a meal deal & including two courses & a glass of wine.The staff are efficient & friendly & the food is well cooked & attractively presented.The restaurant is large & well laid out!

Nice place to have breakfast. Great variety, fresh food and quiet place. Nice to know and sure we come visit again

Literally just finished dinner in the restaurant, my self, wife and son. To be honest, staff v friendly, slight language problem but v welcoming. Most of food ok too but I have to make special mention of my mixed grill. At £20, it's not cheap and I had high expectations. It was v poor. The Cumberland sausages were bordering on being inedible. Not sure if they were veggie or made with spam but they were really not good. I mentioned to waitress but there was no adjustment to the bill. It left a bad taste in the mouth, in more ways than one.

The restaurant was light and well decorated. We opted to eat our food in our room as we were tired from travelling. There was a £3 charge for this, the person who took our order should really have mentioned this. We ordered a panini each which were average. These came with a side salad and crisps, however these were pathetically small. There was a not even handful of cheese and onion crisps and a only few salad leaves.

Varied menu and a plenty to choose from comfortable seating area nice and relaxing,just what you want before you start your holiday

We ate breakfast at Harriets on 3 mornings and at £10 per person for all you can eat English and a full continental breakfast this is one of the better breakfast restaurants in the area, we also had a bar snack of Baked Potato and the Pork which were very good and very well priced. On one of our nights there we had the 2 person, 2 course meal option at just £29.99 with a glass of wine each, this was excellent quality and we had a choice from 4 starters and 4 main courses.Highly recommend this restaurant when your staying at one of the local hotels it is located in the equally good Airport Inn Hotel

Very good dinner and breakfast! The waitstaff was very professional and nice. Too bad this restaurant is attached to the airport inn.

We didn't actually eat in the restaurant although the menu looked adequate, though nothing special. I suppose it would service its purpose if you needed something to eat when on an overnight stop at the hotel. We stayed at the hotel for an early flight from Gatwick the next morning and had a drink in the bar. The bar and restaurant area have obviously been recently refurbished and look quite trendy and smart, however, there was nobody serving at the bar and I waited more than 5 minutes before going off to find someone from the restaurant who came and served us. The only other customers in the bar were a small group of 4 and another couple. There were two people in the restaurant so it wasn't busy but nobody seemed to be watching to see if anyone was waiting to be served. Eventually - after 15 mins, the barman came back but by then we'd all been served by the waitress from the restaurant, who by the way, was very polite and efficient.

Good selection of food and very large portions. Quite expensive but you expect that at an airport hotel. Very good childrens menu and good value.The service was fairly good although it was very quite. No atmosphere in the place, large but mainly empty and the same track was on repeat so we had to ask them to shuffle the play list.

Not the best food in the world, but it was adequate and reasonably priced, no complaints. Perfect for pre flight

Décor very nice and quite quirky; the bar area and restaurant are spacious with more than a nod to child friendly areas. The addition of retro computer gaming tables is brilliant.Seating is rather unusual and would be softer if fabricated from reclaimed concrete’A bottle of San Miguel and Becks blue was £6, and the dinner menu was quite on expensive side, however they did a twofer one offer at £29.99 starter main course and wine, which was exceptionally good value for the quality of food produced.We both plumped for prawns and salad starter.Prawns perfectly cooked excellent mouth feel nice bite good flavourRocket fresh garlic just right so was bitter perfect size for starterHouse rose palatable nothing to write home about but acceptable, not awful. Sure it tastes better after two bottles but what you'd expect for the price Hunters Pie ‐ excellent slow cooked beautiful superb flavour with meat which just fell apart in mouth, baby carrots perfectly cooked and topped with delicious puff pastry Mash potato good but under seasoned as was everything, peas slightly undercooked Overall excellent value for money

Hotel no longer Moat House, both times we saw it a notice said not open this evening due to lack of custom.

You haven't got much choice but to eat here when you're staying at the Moat House. But don't worry, the food is edible, and some of it is quite good. For starters we both took the pate - really rather good. My wife then had the fish and chips, which she declared quite acceptable. I took the vegetable risotto, which was really quite unpleasant. The service was excellent however; great staff.
