Exceedingly difficult pub to find that's hidden away on the waterfront in Little Neston. Unless someone told you where it is you would never find it. In a way this turns out to be a good thing as it's never very crowded. The best thing about the pub is its view. If you get a bench outside you can look across the River Dee to Wales. I haven't been here for a while but they always seem to have a great selection of real ales and also a small menu for food.

Brilliant little pub, have glanced at previous reviews - tiny pub - Great location - basic menu/nothing fancy/it is what it is - terrific value for money - staff pleasant and helpful, maybe they do favour locals, however this is a proper local pub, if you wish to be fauned upon, or have a gastro experience, just get your wallet out and locate another venue, get real - 3rd visit, not local , family member studying locally - feedback, wish you served food all day - + great level walking locally for peeps that don't wish to be challenged ,

What a truly fabulous ‘find’. Unspoilt, cosy and with such a friendly and welcoming team. Hubby, myself and our elderly Westie popped in for lunch. We were met by a really lovely young lady who couldn’t do enough to make us feel at home, and what a great sense of humour she had too. The roaring fire was a welcome treat on a sunny but cold day. We toasted our toes whilst enjoying pink gin, a Butcombe Beer and home made harissa lamb burgers. The menu is excellent and exceptional value. Bailey was treated to two sausages whilst he enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The Harp Inn is totally unspoilt, no pounding music or flashing neon lighting, it’s perfect for conversation and enjoying the amazing views and history. The team and Inn are fully dog friendly which is a bonus. First visit for us, but it won’t be our last. 😊

I asked for a glass and bar man rolled eyes before reaching behind bar for one. Most of the tables had reserved stickers on. I walked into seating area and a lady member of staff pointed at table and shouted ‘reserved’ even though it was 3 and food service wasn’t for another 3 hours or so. It’s a shame but seems from reviews it’s a locals place..

Really authentic and with absolutely none of the chain pub fittings or menus. Could be straight out of a film set for untouched genuine pubs. Limited seating but no one minded squeezing in where they could and everyone really good humoured. Seen mentions of delays in service, but then realise I think only one very brave chef in the kitchen providing a full three course service for the whole pub. Service is well intentioned and happy to take orders from tables of ten. Food is fine but do remember the pricing is amazing value for money.

we took our family of 10 to the Harp today . it was great. considering our group dynamics, from 92yrs to a 3 yr old , everything was catered for. we already knew the food can be up to 45 mins, as all meals are cooked fresh.the pies take the longest and very worth the wait. the bar servers Oliver and Josh were very patient with my family, me especially as i messed up the original order. Every bit of space is used up inside . The food was proper home cooked with great variety , from , pies ,fish and chips, to loveley curries and burgers, kids meals (excellent value) and excellent apple crumble, ice cream. The kitchen team came out to see us with Birthday cupcakes for my 2 nieces. The toilet facilities are bright and sparkly clean. This our 2nd recent visit and is now on our family list for the near future. thank you , Steve and Lyn Meadows, and family

This picturesque little pub looks lovely and welcoming from outside but it's a bit different once through the door, it's dirty with cobwebs hanging full of dirt and grease, the kitchen revealed an overflowing basket of dirty cloths, so I was happy food had stopped before 3, though I had heard steak pie was worth waiting 45 minutes for. Chatty bits of paper taped to tables meant I couldn't sit down, and standing at the bar the overpowering smell of stale ale sent me outside. Guinness was nice,

Disappointed. Quite expensive for very average quality. Salmon avo breakfast came with cold soggy toast and ice cold mushrooms. I asked for a slice of lemon for my salmon, and the waiter, who I don't think understood my request, did not return with it. I went up to the front and asked, no lemon for the fish available! No tabasco sauce, tomato sauce out of a packet. The staff were nice enough!

Went to the Pied Bull at about 16:30, the pub was very busy and took a while to be served. Me and my wife ordered the rump steak panini when it arrived, the coleslaw wasn’t good & looked like an ice cream scoop had been used to serve it. The steak wasn’t too bad a bit too much chutney which overpowered the steak. Very disappointed, didn’t complain as the bar was too busy.
