I reserved some cakes , as we were going for a walk and were calling back later for coffee and cake for a birthday treat ! The staff are so accommodating here , especially the male today 7/7/23 as we were late back , when they closed at 4pm, after getting a bit lost enroute in the countryside. The staff member allowed us to have 2 coffees and the reserved cakes, after closing time, the coffees were excellent and the cakes too. We had the largest cinammon bun I have ever seen and the most scrumptious chocolate brownie ever, crunchie on the outside and sappy in the middle. Such excellent service deserves a big thank you ! Thoroughly recommended !!!

Cowbridge has many places for brunch - and the Hare & Hounds stands out by freshly made, high quality food in an informal setting. Pastries are excellent, coffee is good value, filled croissants very tasty.

First this bakery smelled so good, I just wanted to eat the air. I had a mincemeat pie which was other worldly and as perfect as you could ask for along with a cappuccino. My only complaint was it took awhile to order as they were so busy and perhaps short staff, not sure. I had to sit at the counter for awhile before anyone took my order, Having said that I would happily wait all over again given how delicious everything looked. Go early as they sell out of bakery goods.

This place has to be one of the best places to eat in cowbridge. The menu keeps changing and the food is outstanding. Staff are great too and a bonus you can take the dog

The Fox at PenllynThis pub has been bought by the villagers. It’s is wonderful in so many ways. Cowbridge seems to be a black hole of decent food aside from the hare and hounds and maple and bean. This felt like a proper community pub in the 90s. The staff were all amazing. The food was amazing. There wasn’t a 400% markup on rubbish wine. The service as great. The atmosphere was lovely. Great starters of crab and squid were followed by perfectly cooked steak. The doughnuts with custard cream and strawberries were lovely. No rip off frozen food or “small plates” that nobody likes here. Go and support places like this. The rest of cowbridge eateries need to up their game.

1 Broad Street ParadeWe have been visiting the Casa Paco restaurant for a few years. Each meal is better than the last and we’re always made to feel welcome. The meals are consistently high standard, I can’t wait to go again. We had many deliveries in lockdown and they were always piping hot and fresh. Karen and the team are wonderful hosts and cannot do enough for us. My favourite it the fillet steak and Rossini sauce - highly recommend!

Boverton Brook ShopsIs ok , sometimes staff good , other times not so much.However , the main point is this has got to be the earliest closing fish and chip shop in Wales if not the whole of the UK!
