Visited whilst in Padstow on a lovely Summer’s day and stopped by for an ice cream. Chose Harbour Ices as there was no queue compared to all the other ice cream shops which had long queues. The service was poor and abrupt., genuinely unfriendly. Having been served with one ice cream and whilst choosing a second asked for a sample of one of the two I was choosing between but met with a resounding. “Absolutely not”. So different to all the other ice cream shops we visited during our stay in Cornwall who couldn’t have been happier or more friendly. As it was both ice creams chosen were distinctly average / poor. Shame, but would never return or recommend to others based on the service and quality of their products. Suggest others visit Rick Stein’s shop for lovely ice creams and great service if in Padstow. Exactly the same price at £3.50. Alternative if travelling to Fowey, I’d highly recommend Game of Cones (close to the ferry and car parks) instead who offer more flavours, brilliant service and cheaper prices too!

Incredible creamy ice cream and a lovely family feel to the place. The young lady who served me was very smiley and seemed to have good rapport with customers.

I worked out that during my stay I had 18 scoops of different flavours of ice cream, of which I think only 6 were from other places. So many amazing flavours, service always with a smile and very reasonably priced. Favourites were chunky ginger, turkish delight, lemon meringue and the special peanut butter and choocie. Being a complete ice cream addict I would highly recommend!!!!!

Been coming here for over 15 years but recently the customer service has gone downhill. The owner was rude and despite repeat business over many years, charged us for another ice cream when a seagull took my daughter’s ice cream. Daughter really upset and we were shocked - customer service at its worst. People have more choice for holiday destinations post covid - with customer service like this, we won’t be heading back to Harbour Ices

Nice selection of very tasty ice cream, but wouldn’t let us taste anything. This is a first for me and was very unhelpful.

Been to Padstow loads but never been to this ice cream parlour! It's really nice ice cream and lots of choice! Only thing I would suggest is having a smaller ice cream option for the really little ones! But that's the same with all the ice cream shops!

We were in the town and decided to go here for some ice cream, The was a small line of people outside waiting to be served. It wasn't overly a long wait to get served. There is some seating inside which is high stools and a little counter top which you can sit at which there is only about 4 or 5 stools. There serve hot drinks and also various flavours of ice cream, I had the mint choc chip ice cream which was nice and would have again. Some of the other flavour ice creams did look nice. If you are in the area this is a nice place to get an ice cream. The staff seemed friendly

We used to love popping in here when we were in Truro, you would be lucky to get a seat but now it’s take your pick. In a nutshell the place has lost its soul.

Festive Afternoon Tea this afternoon was very disappointing. It is clearly a stop gap to keep income trickling in between Sunday lunch and evening dinner service. The biggest issue is with the service, very inattentive, unconcerned staff not in the slightest bit interested in providing a professional level of attention. The afternoon tea was acceptable but not exactly delightful let alone memorable or to be recommend to others. Delightful setting with the hotel beautifully appointed and well decorated for Christmas, just a pity the staff were not switched on at all. Management at fault and it would appear no investment made in staff training.

For a spot of lunch, my wife and two children decided to eat here. Never again. We settled on the beef style kebabs (on a skewer). With rice. The beef was tough, tastless, rough and badly cooked. I was a butcher, I should know! Rice was microwaved but still undercooked! The salad that came with it was soggy, rotten and floppy. The best part of the meal was the kids fish goujons. We spent 70 quid (including drinks) on some of the worst food I've eaten.
