Sadly not as good as usual. The coffee and toastie was its usual excellent and tasty self. Not the croissant filled with bacon and egg. The croissant was stale, the bacon mainly fat and a very tasteless watery egg. We have enjoyed several previous occasions with a breakfast bun filled with sausage and or bacon, always good but not this time. I suspect for first visitor it would be the last for breakfast. Coffee and cakes remain excellent.

What a great cafe. We had most of the breakfast menu between us. Both the sausage and back rolls were superb. Why can’t every cafe use such quality ingredients? It makes such a difference. The pancakes were delicious and even too many for my daughter to finish (she had to keep space for the cinnamon bun). We stayed for a second coffee and cakes. Billionaire shortbread and raspberry pistachio cake were perfect. Only downside was me knocking my full coffee over the table! The owner not only cleaned up my mess but gave me another coffee and would not accept payment even though it was my fault entirely.

My wife and I sat and had a coffee here Sunday afternoon after a walk along the coast. The coffee was excellent, really well made tasty and enjoyable. The bonus was the great views and live music from the excellent area around the market and food stands in the redeveloped area. Very relaxing, easily recommended.

One of the finest cups of coffee I have ever experienced together with a sausage and bacon roll. Good quality sausage and sizzling lean bacon. Friendly and cheerful service, even first thing in the morning. We also had the brie and bacon toastie which my wife said was great; no room to offer second opinion on that one. Lots of outdoor seating with a great view across the bay towards Dover. On anot so good day there is inside seating. Very well worth a visit.

Their coffee is excellent and they have a wide selection of really good cakes. In good weather it's great to sit on the roof and take in the view. However, this week we sat inside. They admit dogs, and the couple sitting next to us had two, which they allowed to sit on the seats, and put their wet muddy paws on the table. As the staff don't clean tables between customers, there is a real hygiene issue here.

Had a coffee and a toasted cheese sandwich. The coffee was really good. The cheese toasty was amazing. Was a very wet day. So seating inside was lacking. If the weather was nice then there is plenty seating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely be back.

The lady that took our order for toasted sandwich and coffee was very lovely and friendly. She served us our drinks and then told us to take a seat and our toasties would be brought out to us. As we were walking up to the roof terrace a waitress coming down the stairs told us to wait downstairs as she was fed up with having to run up and down all day long! All other customers on the roof had had their toasties brought to them. No other customers arrived during our time there. After 15 mins my husband had to remind her to make our toasties. Toasties were nice but I will not be visiting again. Just an idea, don't open a roof terrace if your staff can't be bothered to walk up a short staircase to serve your customers.

I was happy with my sausage in Brioche bun and cup of tea today. The sausages used are of good quality, butcher’s standard.. Rather tricky to eat from the takeaway cardboard box provided, but that’s more to do with the brioche bun, which tends to fall apart in your hand whilst trying to eat it.But it was tasty. There were 3 staff present at the time of my order and the service was courteous and prompt...no complaints there. I was going to sit at a large table in the corner, next to a window nearest the sea. However, I chose not to,as the table had not been cleared away after whoever had sat there before; (there were several empty cardboard plates and paper cups and the table was quite grubby. Not an immediate issue I thought…I’ll just sit at another empty table..no worries. What did concern me however, is that absolutely no effort was made by staff to clear this table. I was there for around 20 mins until a group of 5 (3 adults and 2 children) arrived and ordered. The obvious place for them to sit together was at the aforementioned table, which still hadn’t been cleared. I watched in disappointment as the gentleman in the group, had to clear away all of the rubbish on the table, and deposit it all in the bin himself. He then must have resorted to asking one of the staff for something to clean the table with, as I saw him wiping down the table with sanitizer spray, and then wiping it dry with some blue roll.(which I saw was given to him by one of the staff members.. I considered this a task that, whilst not difficult, certainly shouldn’t have fallen upon the customer to perform. I know that we’re gradually coming out of Covid restrictions etc. but in my opinion, one still expects basic standards of hygiene to be observed…e.g. clearing and sanitising of tables/eating area by staff…not by the customer; am I expecting too much? When I left, I took the opportunity to mention it privately to one of the lads working in the kitchen. (He had stepped outside for a minute.) So his response was polite and apologetic, although somewhat disingenuous, blaming it on them being too busy with customers….??? To be fair there were around 8-10 customers in there at the time, but I’d hardly have called it very busy…. (Just wait for the Summer…then they’ll know all about “busy”!) So no complaints from me about the quality of the food. However, I believe that more effort is required maintaining cleared and clean tables for customers choosing to eat indoors. Whilst this may have been a temporary lapse of otherwise high standards, I can’t say? However it saddens me that I witnessed this and it has put me off a return visit any time soon. Could do better!

Just a lovely place for a coffee and croissant before or after you have walked along the Harbour Arm. . Very clean, friendly staff and a fabulous view! This little container does not look much, but it really has it all! Please visit and support a local business which deserves to succeed.

Have been here a few times usually when getting bread from Dockers. Good coffee and the open air seating means we can have a coffee and walk the dog at the same time.

Stumbled across this place on a rainy Sunday morning when everything else was closed. Still amazed at the big flavours that came out of this tiny kitchen. The pancakes with maple syrup and bacon tasted like heaven. The coffee was dreamy. Staff were friendly. Thanks guys, you lifted my spirits and filled my belly.

Very yummy coffee (hot & iced versions) with a fantastic view of the Dover cliffs and historic Folkestone harbour and port of yesteryear. Great way to start our day. Just wish they did a mushroom & egg breakfast but lots of other options about.

Came across this gem while having a stroll on harbour although technically its in Harbour arm carpark but don't let that put you off as there is seating at rear that looks out across harbour we had toasties but not the usual offering you get of 2 tiny triangles of cheap white bread & a filling that's hardly visible to naked eye!! These are made with 2 large slices of I think was sourdough & full to the brim inside it was very tasty & filling great value for money & can't wait to go back or recommend

Having seen the Instagram video of their espresso I had to come and try it. This is hands down the BEST coffee you can get in Folkestone. It’s rich, smooth and just the right amount of bitter with a gorgeous thick crema on top. I drank it before I could get a photo! It’s a in a picture perfect location as well, you can sit and watch the ocean whilst you get your caffeine fix. Just gorgeous.

We stopped here for a cocktail with a view to dining if we liked the look of the menu. The young man, Freddie, who served us was polite and attentive. He was in his second week there (a student in his gap year) and doing very well. The cocktails were nice, the food was lovely and we thought, reasonably priced for the quality of the restaurant. Would definitely return should we find ourselves in Folkstone again. Thank you for a very enjoyable dinner with such good service.
