Easy tiger serves Indian food within the Hampton pub . It is a good sized pub , the menu is very limited however the food is really good . I had beef biriyani and my friend had chicken curry . All lovely . Good sized portions . Would recommend . Fast service and friendly place

Food is always superb and always bring new BTN visitors here as their food is conducive to drinking... or is it the other way round? Really lovely team and customers add to a super afternoon/evening.

...Street Food! Buzzing pub, lovely staff, great beers and mouthwateringly delicious food! PORK XACUTI was unbelievably sumptious...Truly! As was everything else, side chutney not as super as last time but these change and you go with the flow. Birianis are always super too...

Amazing food. Full of flavour with a bit of a kick. The chicken and fish were a favourite as well as the delicious goan wraps. Lovely spritz cocktails. All at a reasonable price. Would recommend and visit again!

The pubs decor is lovely so its a shame the toilets arent maintained that well. The food was nice but i wasn't blown away - they were sold out of the options I wanted but the second choice was alright. I agree with the comments about small portions at a high price. The lady who served us was really nice and attentive and the popadoms and chutneys were lovely

Had great dishes here. All really tasty and different. Lots of fresh herbs too. Service was good. Dishes pretty small, but great opportunity to order lots of variety. Nice ambience, nice pub. Very informal.

The homemade chutneys were individually spectacular and paved the way to a tasty main; Lamb Biryani and the Goan Fish curry filled us well, in a predominantly beer-focused evening. Deffo a re-visit soon to explore the menu further. Lovely Team here, super service and welcome, thank you!

5* food, 5* service, 5* value. A fabulous meal with a few beers for 6 of us last Saturday night for £180. The food is reasonably quick to arrive, inventive, absolutely delicious and way over the standard of the average curry house. A true neighbourhood gem. Service is good too. Book well in advance, I do not understand the critics who say you can't book!

Unexpectedly great Indian street food in a well stocked English Pub. I wish that I could have eaten the whole menu! ... I'll have to return sometime. Try not to sit next to a noisy table, as the spread of annoying sound does overwhelm. Definitely not fast food at peak times, but worth the wait.

Such a lovely lil pub serving up incredible street food style plates! Crispy dough delicious parotta ... get extra! Beautifully seasoned and spiced aubergine and the crunch tikki wrap was delicious - highly recommended to me and was an excellent choice. Thank you Kanthi! Came across this place completely by accident one day while looking for a plant shop across the road and I am so happy that I did! The staff were absolutely wonderful alongside a delicious menu of food. We had the Keralan Fried Chicken which was truly the best chicken I have eaten in a long time. We will be back!

The place is done out really nice, love the decor. Staff were super helpful & friendly. The food was delicious ; small tapas style servings. Good value for money, and Would definitely visit again.

Amazing paneer curry but the portions are tiny.. they need to reduce the price or be more generous. Left feeling hungry which is a shame as it’s a great pub with great service.

OMG so delicious! We managed to actually get in for real in October which was so fabulous! The food took us right back to Sri Lanka - and even my in-laws who are fairly safe on their food choices were enamoured by the nhs curry! Just ordered a takeaway from them as a lockdown II treat, food was just as good and fresh and just utterly delicious. I recommend entirely that you eat the food from Easy Tiger! What a gem - I hope they see out, and beyond this crazy pandemic!

We ordered the paneer and lamb dish as well as rice and paratha.Really flavoursome food but overpriced for the portion sizes you get.

I visited this lovely pub twice in October- once for my best friend's birthday dinner, (just the two of us) and again on the last night of their 'Taste of Sri-Lanka' October Best special (solo diner). I must say, I have enjoyed the food and service on both occasions. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, and the food is up to very high standards. In my experience, as a well-travelled, south asian man, residing in the Middle East, Canada and now, UK, I was delighted to have a taste of authentic Sri-Lankan food at their 'October Best' special...I didn't expect to enjoy the food as much as I did, or have a little taste of home. Nuestra visita fue un tranquilo lunes por la noche. El servicio fue amable y eficiente, la comida era muy sabrosa en porciones de tamaño razonable para que pueda probar algunos platos diferentes. (No espere porciones gigantes de pollo tikka masala.) Había un buen amargo en la bomba, así como muchas cervezas ligeras.Muy buena experiencia. ¡Volveríamos!

La comida era deliciosa, teníamos salsas y luego una envoltura y curry para compartir entre 2 de nosotros. Muchas cervezas para elegir pero no tantas sidras. También se admiten perros, lo cual fue agradable, ya que muchas personas tenían perros tanto en el interior como en el patio trasero. Una de las salsas fue mango con menta, que es un toque diferente, ¡pero estaba bien!

Been here a few times. The pub is really nice and in a good tucked away location. The food was nice enough, the wraps were good but a bit dry. Probably not the best value but was nice to eat that sort of food in a pub atmosphere for a change. Staff seem a bit distant and unfriendly, unless your a local hipster type.

OK, the food tasted quite nice, nothing amazing but this is another Brighton rip off. You just don't get what you pay for these days and people sit back and take it saying "well it's Brighton prices". It's not acceptable.My friend and I ordered the KFC starter (£6) which you'd kind of expect for a starter but the main which was a chicken curry served with a (rice made) chapati with plantain chips and going for a whacking £11!! (just take a look a the photo,the starter is bigger than the main course curry). As soon as the food was delivered to the table our mouths dropped and I asked the waitress, "are you serious?" she said I could speak to the bar manager, so I did. I complained to the bar manager asking her if shed be happy paying £11 for a tiny bowl of curry. The bar manager was kind enough to offer us a free plate of fries with ketchup however stated that the kitchen was run by a different company and she had no control over it. We cannot return to eat here based on what you get compared to an Indian restaurant.

The Hampton has gone through many transformations and this is easily the best. The staff are attentive and the food is good, not the best I've had but it's still worth checking out. It's popular and deserves to be.

We visited as a group of 6. The pub is nice, I realised I’d been there before, pre Easy Tiger. The menu looked interesting but didn’t completely deliver - I admit I’m awkward as a vegan that’s allergic to aubergine, but the only main available to me was a bit like a happy meal - a paper enclosed wrap with a side of fries. I might have been quite chuffed as a lunch, but a Saturday night dinner it was not. Those that had the aubergine option enjoyed it, so there is obviously good food to be had, but if I ended up back in this area I’d stick to a drink or two.

Great food, great beer, quick and friendly service Flavourful but not too spicy food. Double hopped IPA pricey at over £7 a pint, but worth it!

The food is incredible. Tasty, reasonably priced and served by lovely people. Great selection of keg beer. Only one cask ale but it is kept well and always a good one from a local brewery. This pub had seen its ups and downs over the last decade, but right now it's on a massive high. Awesome.

The bar staff were excellent very friendly and smiley and made you feel welcome. The food however was a bit disappointing I have eaten better Indian food in brighton.

We often go to this pub as the food is delicious and we took two Italian friends who were visiting. Unfortunately they had a bingo night which was sad and shoddy. The guy was loud and not funny and it spoiled our evening completely. The food was excellent as always. Please no more bingo!

We went here having previously enjoyed the Pond, knowing that this was another venture by the same guy! We weren’t disappointed at all - the food was brilliant and so reasonably priced. We had the poppadoms and dips to start, then I had the Keralan Fried Chicken and Marsala chips and my wife had the lamb curry - both of which were delicious ! The staff were attentive but not obstrusive and even looked for an alternative gin, when they had run out of the rhubarb, a small gesture but in this day and age rare to find !

Absolutely fabulous food and pub. Cannot praise it enough. If you like Southern Indian and Sri Lankan food, this place is a must. Great for teenagers too; The ‘KFC’ was a big hit.

The food here was fantastic, this place has a sister pub called the pond, also incredible, choosing between the two is like choosing between J-lo and Beyonce, would highly recommend, friendly staff and great atmosphere.

My friend and I had been trying to sample this eatery for some time over the last few months but every time we had tried, it was closed for refurbishment. Well now now. The old Hampton pub has been transformed into a hip, vibrant place and really looks the part. They offer an amazing range of craft beer (recommend Bison) and the Easy Tiger part offers incredible Indian street food. They do sharing plates and larger dishes which all complement each other. The staff are really friendly and talk you through both food and drink with expert knowledge. The pub is part of a group that own The Pond in Brighton (see my review on that) and they have definitely got I spot on. Well worth another visit.

this pub does the best roast ever.and the staff are very helpfull nothing is ever to much trouble.this will be a regular visit for us now. Atmosphere great also. an all round friendly pub..family friendly .just what you need.

It's not a great atmospheric pub but with a table booked for 2pm we decided to give somewhere different a go. 75 minutes later and gnawing our arms off, our dinner arrived.. if you like Aunt Bessie Yorkshires, pickled beetroot out of a jar added to a microwaved Iceland roast for one then this is for you. I'm just glad I had some crisps to help satisfy my hunger otherwise I would be running to the local chippy as fast as I can. Staff are nice and friendly but this tired old bar needs help and the quicker the better.

Really enjoyed a great vegan roast here. The only thing I'd suggest would be a vegan yorkshire pudding, as every other roast had a lovely looking yorkshire pudding on top. They are easy to make with soya milk, gram flour and flour. This would make it the best vegan roast in Brighton!

The Hampton has been taken over (or so it seems) by a lovely guy James? We felt very welcome today and the staff, although busy, we're all cheerful and gave great service. Both myself and my dining partner had the roast beef and it was excellent. We asked for it to be very rare and it was. The gravy is rich and tasty and the meal comes with seasonal veg (carrots, beans and kale) plus roasties, stuffing and Yorkshire pud. We'll be going here more often.

Have been visiting this pub for over 10 years and feel quite sad that's it's really gone downhill. Went yesterday after a long gap ( last time the place was a mess so we avoided it for a long while). Have met up with friends for New Year's Day drink there for years. Thought we'd give it another go yesterday. There was one staff member on, he's worked there for years and is a good guy. But it looked like some staff members were in there on a day off. They were shouting and being incredibly annoying the whole time we were there and showed no regard for anyone else there. It ended up with each of the other tables leaving one by one as they couldn't hear anything above the noise. No one gave a damn about the other paying customers. We all left knowing after 10 years we wouldn't go back which is sad. There have been some great people running this place over the years. I can't help but think after the last 3 visits that this place is being run as some sort of tax loss. It's gone really shabby, staff couldn't care less and customers don't seem to matter.

Can I just begin by saying never have I left a review anywhere that wasn't positive, but I feel like I have to say something about this. We visited yesterday afternoon after remembering we had had a great roast there a few months ago. We were looking for somewhere warm we could spend the majority of the afternoon and have a roast, maybe a few glasses of wine. After walking in we stood at the bar and noticed the bar tender was talking to a friend on the other side of the bar. We ourselves were in a conversation so it took 5 minutes to realise the bartender was ignoring us. After another couple of minutes of us awkwardly standing there we eventually got a "yeah in a minute guys" while he finished what I think was a card transaction for his friend. He then went back over to her and stood......and stood.....and gossiped....and TOTALLY ignored us. It was as if he had forgotten we were even there! Can I say at this point as an assistant manager in a pub myself I would be appalled if I saw any of the staff doing this and obviously wanted to say something but my boyfriend suggested we leave. I even took a last disbelieving look back as we reached the front door but despite even actually facing us no he still had no clue we had even left. I would suggest finding a bartender who gives a s**t Hampton as the one I encountered yesterday clearly doesn't and lost you a fair little bundle!

Wine selection a bit limited no rioja or light red (burgundy wine) but htis is normal in alot of pubs, good beer, lovely snook go find it...and an average kind of burger and chips that I enjoyed.

been here twice, once had the beef and once the vege wellington, both were amazing with friendly service and considering the size of our party both times, they were quick too! Dog friendly and recommend the cauli cheese and cheesecake too

£12 for not the best roast i've ever had. too much fat and not enough crackling on the pork. really nice potatoes though! add in £5 for a pint and it's a bit too much for me.

I've eaten here on a number of times, though not recently. This evening my friend and I decided to take advantage of the 241 burgers evening, and pop in.My friend ordered the chilli burger, and I ordered the wild boar. Mine was described as being served 'with smoked bacon, smoked cheese, and caramelised apple'. What a disappointment! There was barely any cheese whatsoever, and the 'apple' was certainly not caramelised, but cheap apple sauce out of a jar. I was also annoyed that they weren't served with any chips or accompaniments, especially as the bar staff didn't mention this nor offer me the opportunity to add any sides. I don't like to comment on tripadvisor if I haven't mentioned anything to the staff, but given that we waited 45 minutes for our burger (and there was virtually no one else in the place, certainly not many eating) and when I asked there was no apology, and given that no one asked how the food was, I don't feel that bothered.Certainly won't be eating here again, which is a shame, as they used to do some great food!

I've been visiting the Hampton for years on and off as we have a weekly group meet up there.The pub feels really neglected and operates on a minimum of staff. Sometimes the staff are just plian rude. Sometimes really helpful. They are most lkely overworked.The gents are an absolute disgrace. The toilet has been out of order, without paper, and without seat for at least four months.It just feels like a pub that has given up. Which is a shame, as the main bar area is nice.Three guest ales are normally found on tap.

We were recommended to have the Sunday Roast - it was a very good recommendation. All of us enjoyed the food - well cooked, decent servings and on hot plates. You probably need to reserve a table, we did. We will be back in the future.

Very relaxing pub the food was lovely I had lamb my wife had slow roasted belly pork and my daughter had chicken all the food came out piping hot lovely homemade gravy good food .good beer and friendly staff would definitely recommend will be coming back again thanks all ☺☺☺

I went to eat the burgers that apparently are very good and when i made the booking the guy told me that kitchen will close at 21:00 and i was happy with that as i booked my table for 20:30.When i went to the bar to order 20:45 the lady at the bar told us that kitchen was close and even had the balls to asked if we would like a drink instead.Sorry dont like to put negative reviews but they shouldnt say that kitchen is open till 21:00 when is not.

After searching for pub that is not crammed with too many people, we ended up in this local pub. Resting on our previous experience on burgers, we had good expectations for a Sunday lunch in this pub as well, and our expectations were met. Together with meat being very well cooked, the sides were also delicious. I personally loved the beetroot crisps and when I asked for more, they brought some free of charge. The place also has a very nice beer garden but the interior is also very spaciously decorated, unlike many pubs in Brighton, there are no cramped spaces. At the end, if you are looking for a decent Sunday meal in a friendly environment, Hampton Arms is a good option with a delicious meal, helpful staff and a wide selection of beers.

First visit to the pub with a group of 8. Everyone's Meals were fantastic and good value. Highly recommended.

Stumbled across this pub by accident. Came in on sunday and as soon as you enter you are greeted by a gorgeous aroma of tasty food, warm surroundings and a lovely atmosphere. Decided to try one of there beer infused burgers with horseradish and black pudding. It was AMAZING. Presented lovely on wood board with a tin cup of (the best) thick cut chips. The Burger itself was perfectly cooked with a lovely beer infused taste and a lovely pink inside. Staff were really friendly and the price was very reasonable. Will definately be going again on there pork and cider festival. 23rd May.

A great local pub. We had a lovely leek soup and a goats cheese salad on potato rosti. Very tasty and made all the better for the delightful Scottish guy behind the bar who was chatty and friendly. It makes such a difference to be "seen" and receive such a warm welcome nowadays - others would do well to learn from it

They're lovely. This place is making a real effort with boutique food. Beer infused burgers, what a great idea for a beer lover like my boyfriend. We came here for his birthday celebration and I had a black and blue burger with blue cheese and he had the really deer burger with the beer to complement. Yum.

Visited this pub last week for the first time as have just moved to Brighton last month. I had a burger which was cooked to perfection, full of flavour and presented well. The Hampton has a wise selection of ales to choose from and I did try 3 on this occasion. All tasted how they should and not vinegary like they do in some pubs I have visited. The staff were really friendly and seemed to be enjoying their job. There's a great outdoors space which I will be making full use of come the summer. Fingers crossed for sunshine!! The Hampton Arms is a pleasant local boozer, just north of Brighton's busy Western Road. It is cosy with plenty of corners to hise away in. It's just away from the tourist and shopping areas, so it's not over-busy.The food is honest pub grub! It features burgers, steaks etc. and they have a Specials Board, including a few desserts.The staff are friendly and helpful. The Hampton does well in most categories without being the best in town.

Had to take a couple of pints back and met resistance. Both me and a friend thought the beer wasn't right - tasted of vinegar. We have 60 years of beer drinking experience and know a bad pint. Bar Maid/Landlady said, "there's nothing wrong with it", "been selling it all night", nonsense. After a few minutes of debate, I say, "Really, are you really not going to change these pints" (they were pints, only having sips out of them), she said, "I'll change them, but don't look at me like that, it's rude". She then went back to the same pump and started pouring a new pint. When I pointed out that was the same beer, she said, "it's ok, I've just changed the barrel a second ago"!!!! So, we had bought the last two pints before the barrel had been changed. She knew this and still quibbled. Amazing. Never going back.
