The price has gone up and size of the meals gone down. Will be now going to Philips lane chippy instead as it's better value.

After a few years of living near Colne (and using the ‘the other two good ones in town’ near this traditional chippy I hadn’t used it but recently called in a the chips were the best in the area, good sized portion, decent price, cooked in front of me and really friendly staff behind the counter. Will be my go to for a quick chippy lunch when I am in need of a fast lunch. Highly recommended.

Called last week for the first time in ages. Although the chips were OK, the fish batter was squelching with fat and repeated on me literally for hours. I don't want to be too harsh as I've been told this is a family business and don't want to make the situation worse for anyone willing and able to feed us while trying to make a living in these difficult times but this little shop once had a great, well deserved reputation and it could again with a bit more attention to the food.

Warm welcome from the owner. She was very pleasant as was her daughter. Food was very good and inexpensive. I would return.

The food was terrible and swimming in grease. The owners attitude stinks and I have been on the toilet all day as has my family.

Called in for Sausage and Chips during the Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival, good quality, fair sized portion.

With so many chippies turning their hand to other types of food, it's nice to still have a traditional chippy in the heart of the town. Located in a side street just up from the Muni and opposite The Dressers club, it's in an ideal location serving great fare!

Just bought fish and chips. Fish and chips were fried while you wait. Received 3 large fish and more than ample chips. Fish was excellent and the chips were nice and crispy outside and just right inside. Recommended fish and chips shop. I will definitely go there again :-)

Poor quality cooking, seems to me food had been reheated and reheated, chip's were a soggy oily mess, try the north Valley chippy near by, much better.

Stopped in before going to the Pendle Beer Festival held very near by, just needed something as a base for the copious amounts of ale I was to drink. They cooked the chips whilst I waited, which is something I don't like about modern day chip shops, but the lady behind the counter made the time pass very quickly with a lot of chat and banter and there was no awkwardness with the wait. The chips were decent when I got them so I didn't mind the cooking in the end.

We attended a special Fish Night and were certainly not disappointed. The chef is renowned for stunning sauces and once again he did not disappoint. The organic salmon with English Wasabi, buttermilk and dill was stunning as was the Red Mullet with Ratatouille beurre blanc. The bouillbaise with the John dory was memorable. A truly memorable evening of superb food served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is little wonder that this restaurant has just retained its MIchelin Star for a 7th time.

Four our us, that’s two couples, visited today 26/2/25 for lunch, main menu plus £13 Monday to Friday lunch menu, Sausage,mash/all day breakfast/cottage pie and salmon were all enjoyed. Good range of ales although I didn’t look beyond Taylor’s Boltmaker, there’s no need to. Decor was good, as was the service, would recommend and we’ll be back.
