The best biriyani I have ever tried in the UK. We tried kacchi and mejbani beef and borhani. The mighty kacchi and mejbani was at their best, the borhani could be much better. Still I recommend this place.

La comida fue horrible. Qué vergüenza por su terrible cocina y el horrible sabor de nuestros platos de autor. Soy un bangladesí y cada vez que extraño comida de casa visito el área de Whitechapel para comer comida deshi. Pero esta tienda en particular acaba de decepcionar el nombre de Nanna biryani. ¿Por qué no pueden dar poco esfuerzo en los platos? Por qué tenían que pensar en hacer dinero. Bhuna khichuri era tan maloliente que tuve que tirarlo. Kachchi biryani no tenía sabor y el morog polao fue una gran decepción porque el pollo en el morog polao estaba duro y maloliente. We ware looking for a good food recommendation and someone local on the street recommended this place. Food was super aromatic and fresh. Service was fast and super friendly. Portions ware more than enough.When we are in London next time we surely will visit.

Comida increíble y muy fresca. Pedimos el kacchi biriyani, pollo pulao, pollo kebab, Faluda, Fushka. Simplemente increíble calidad y super servicio. Cualquiera que desee probar algunos auténticos bengalíes, especialmente el famoso Kacchi de Dhaka, debe venir aquí e intentarlo. Lugar pequeño pero muy limpio y excelente servicio. Volveré a intentarlo la próxima vez en Londres. Recomiendo encarecidamente el lugar si busca biriyani realmente bueno.

We ordered biryani which wasnt fresh. Salad onions were even dried nd not fresh at all.. you can see it nd tell.. taste of biryani was ok ok .. nothing extra special .. not typical ..

El biriyani que tuve en este restaurante casi me hizo llorar, ya que esperaba tener un buen biriyani, pero era una especie de puré de arroz con mal sabor a trozos de cordero que ni siquiera eran carne fresca. Aweful nunca yendo o recomendando a nadie.

I've been there to try for the first time Biryani rice, even though I pop up late they were really nice and let me seat. The place is pretty clean, the food is tasty but what impressed mostly to me was the generous portions! Suggested if you're in the area.

Had dinner here for the most part of our stay in London. Fulfilling meal reasonable priced. Tried all the different Briyani and it was all delicious. A nice hot meal on a cold London night.

The Murg pilau was recommended to me by a friend. The wife ordered Rupchanda bhuna and plain rice. My son ordered beef tehari (biryani).

The biryani we had was quite nice but it had too much ghee in it. The meat was quite tender, the buhani was also nice.

Went with lot of feedback and was not disappointed. Lip smacking biriyani - Kachi ghost biriyani and beef rezala . Oh man this review itself is making me drool. Definitely worth a second visit and it will be very soon .

Wow. They have transposed the food of Dhaka onto the face of London and I can imagine that this is only the start. The food is wonderful although the restaurant itself is very plain. Frequented by bangladeshi's, do not let that put you off from being bold enough to go in and order a kachi Biriyani. Or any of the other dishes for that matter.This truly is a gem and its hidden in plain sight. Go in and try it all and the only thing you'll find everywhere else that is served here is the drink.

I came in U.K. for eating Nanna Biryanis ....I like & love to eat always biryanis but hear I don't found the original old Dhaka cities Nanna biriyani..Borhany was also so so but Fish Ticca was good ..I hope in future I will find hear more batter.....

Unfortunately the toilet was blocked on our visit. There was a nasty smell. The food however was very good. It's more about what standard you are willing to accept. Good food but not enough to warrant 4 stars ... sorry guys but make the effort.

A la recherche d'un restaurant indien, nous somme tombé sur celui-ci, le personnels est correcte mais il manque une clim pour les journée d'été. Ayant l'habitude de la cuisine indienne est bengali, le repas était assez ... industriel, comparer au restaurant indien du sud de la France. Petit soucis a la fin, le serveur ne voulais pas accepter au début notre carte bancaire car celui-ci était française.

Interior is very poor, no air conditioning, customer service is also not up to the mark. But I tasted the real taste Kacchi Biriyani here. I tried Kacchi Biriyani in many Bangladeshi restaurants in East London. But this one had the real taste.

Went there two times just to eat the kacchi. The food was amazing and reminds you of that from back home. Must visit the place and try the food if you are in East London.

I've been here many times, whenever I get nostalgic for food from my hometown of Dhaka, I pop by for some proper Kacchi Biryani - they have all sorts of delicious things besides biriyani, like haleem and fish dishes straight from Bangladesh, so if you're looking for something truly authentically Bangladeshi rather than the more fushion-esque food that tends to be served in Bangladeshi-owned restaurants and described as 'Indian' here in London, this is one of the spots to head to! I have yet to sit down and have a meal there, I usually get take away but I'd be happy to sit in one of these days.I should add that it's not a traditionally nice place with table cloths and things, more of a hole-in-the-wall vibe but perfectly clean and well maintained, the service is great and there's clearly a neighbourhood atmosphere to the place. There are other spots down that stretch of road towards Whitechapel station but they seem really rather grubby and dingy by comparison, I don't have the guts to try them. This place, on the other hand, I love.

I used to go "KOLAPATA" last week one of my friend push me to go "NANNA BIRIANI"I been there last Wednesday, 2 waiter working in the field and one guy sitting on the table and drinking tea, most probably he is the owner or partner of this restaurant,my girl friend wanted to place order and she call "BHAISAB" can i place order" sylhety people must know the meaning of "BHAISAB". The man who was drinking tea he just getting angry and said there is no "BHAISAB" call "BHAI" !!! He was so rude with us, i was very disappointed. I am from sylhet and i felt insulted. Whitechapel is a sylhety area i strongly recommend to sylhety people not to go to "NANNA BIRIANI" they are RESIST .and they has one star in food hygienic which is so bad. "KOLAPATA" serve 100 times good food then nanna biriani and kopalata has 4 star in food hygienic. And their service is 1000% better then "NANNA BIRIANI"

This place looks unimpressive from the outside - but then in London, there's no correlation between how good a place looks and how it actually is - so I gave it a try, and I'm glad I did. If you like rice, you'll be in heaven here, the portions are huge and the fish (Elish) I tried was really nicely cooked. It's true what other reviewers have said, the place has very little atmosphere or comfort, but I hope it becomes a success as it is adding a slightly different style of food to the area.

The meat was tender. We also ordered a take away.Price range around £5-£7 per Biriyani dish.The place had a strange smell inside, poor interior or no decoration as such. It is a sad observation that Bangladeshi restaurants in the UK in general treat interior design and aesthetics as the least important. There is a lot of room for improvement in the interior department as having a meal is about an experience and where the meal is consumed is part of the deal.

This is a truly magical restaurant who has managed to achieve the impossible by bringing the true taste of Bengali food. The biriyani is perfect and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The only thing they can improve is the speed of food made when it gets insanely busy even though it takes time to prepare.

Shocking food. Murog polau lacks flavour, which means no taste other than just easting the rice. Just shocking. Even the fuchka was overdosed with lemon spray or either made the day before and only 6 pieces for more that £2.50

Hatten großen hunger und waren finanziell eher nicht so gut ausgerüstet. Da haben wir uns für dieses Restaurant entschieden. Eine richtige Mahlzeit zum satt werden inkl. Getränk hat etwa 10 GBP gekostet. Die Ausstattung / Möbel im Restaurant erfüllt seinen Zweck, der Wirt war super freundlich und das sehr gut gelungene, lecker indische Essen wird innerhalb von 10 Minuten nach Bestellung serviert. Nice ambience. Quick and attentive service,Generous portions BUT the Kachhi Biryany had no taste, aroma or the left over smell in your hand afer finishing eating and washing your hand. Alas the memory of Dhaka remained unfulfilled. Suggest raise price for Kachhi and have a proper preparation and NOT insult the memory of the old renowned chef.

Living England last 2 years. But I haven't eat this kind of tasty food in last 2 years..Sapor in very very good.. Nice and friendly atmosphere here.. Thanks to chefs for making this tasty food... Large portions for take away rice naan dishes curry and spices very tasty. Will never forget how it tasted, the flavours are exactly how it should be for asian people. When u come in the restaurant u will feel like these people will cook a nice meal for you and just let u recommend some of their best dishes. Highly recommend for people living in whitechapel/brick lane.

A humble restaurant with a great service.Great food and not expensive at all.Had a chicken doner with nan and the 'kuchi biryani' which comes with a special gravy.What can I say, just awesome!
