Thursday evening three of us attended Haighton Manor. As usual, the food, ambiance, and service were all fantastic. But, this time a special mention to our waitress Maddie. Exceptional service, rapport snd general manner were all 10/10

What an amazing setting in the old manor house. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, food quality is top notch, and the atmosphere is really good. Well worth a visit if you find yourself in the area.

We had one night stay at Haighton Manor, had evening meal and breakfast. Honestly cannot recommend this place high enough. Staff very welcoming, food excellent, whole establishment spotlessly clean, bed great, high quality linen and good sized bath towels. Pricing is so reasonable. Just a fantastic place.

We had a lovely visit with great food. We all enjoyed the dishes we chose. I can’t resist the fish and chips as the chips are SO crispy and taste homemade - just like my mum used to make! Now they have a dessert I can’t resist - the rhubarb, orange and ginger pudding with vanilla custard. It’s delicious. They haven’t quite got the amount of custard right, you get a tiny amount, if that was double or even treble then it’s definitely the perfect dessert. The team were lovely too.

Our recent visit left much to be desired, usually the service here is impeccable. We had to actively seek out staff to place a drink order during the meal. When requesting prior to our main meal, it took until we finished our mains for them to arrive. Furthermore, throughout the meal, no condiments were offered, and we had to repeatedly request basic items. The overall service felt slow and inattentive, detracting significantly from the dining experience. Having visited here before, this is the first time I felt the service to be below par. The food was lovely and cannot fault the kitchen. Additionally, the decision to have heaters on in the conservatory made the atmosphere uncomfortably warm, disrupting what should have been a pleasant Sunday lunch. Overall, the lack of attentive service, the need to continually request basic amenities, and the uncomfortable dining environment left us thoroughly disappointed with our experience at this beautiful restaurant. We hope these issues are addressed to improve the dining experience for future patrons.

First visit to Haighton Manor but certainly wont be my last... Met up with a friend for midweek lunch / catch up and booked the table in advance. Plenty of parking and delightful setting, on entering the roaring open fire greets you and the staff welcome was equally as warm. We ordered drinks in the bar and then shown to our table in a cosy room just off the bar area which overlooked the front & side of the building. Staff so friendly and polite - they made you feel like you were old friends returning - checked before ordering for any allergies, intolerances or dietary needs. Menu has a good choice I opted for the king prawns in Goan curry sauce served with warm flat bred -, steak burger for main and glazed passion fruit tart, The food was delightful, well presented, hot, fresh and flavoursome. I would highly recommend Haighton Manor for anyone

A beautiful location and setting. Met up with friends for lunch. Service very good and friendly. Menu is good and varied with some special flavours. I can recommend the salmon fishcakes-they were delicious! The drink and small puddings are fab idea for us ladies! Everyone enjoyed their lunch. Prices are higher than pub meals but worth it for a treat! The restaurant was full and service was not affected. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We came here on a Monday night and was very surprised by how busy it was although I think that they had a special promotion on food… The service was absolutely shocking, we had to wait 20 minutes before someone came to take our drinks order and then it was at least another minutes before the drinks arrived.. The food service was no better and when the food did arrive there was no apology. On the plus side the food was quite good …. So, in summary , dreadful service but decent food. We won’t be rushing back.

Our first time at Haighton Manor. Sunday lunch starters mains and deserts. All the food was excellent. The service was also excellent, attentive but not over the top. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. All in all a great lunch, not cheap, but you get what you pay for

Lovey Sunday lunch can recommend the roast beef the braised shoulder of lamb, the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. The setting is lovely over looking the countryside, the ambience inside the pub is calm and pleasant. The staff are welcoming polite and efficient, would definitely recommend.

Really nice afternoon with friends. I ordered the roast beef and dark chocolate tart and it was all delicious. Staff were really friendly and it’s a really cosy place for a cold, winters day.

We went for a meal to celebrate my Dad’s 70th having been to celebrate our anniversary earlier this month. Both occasions were superb! The food was excellent quality and the staff are so friendly and attentive. This is the reason we continue to return. Definitely our favourite place to come to eat and look forward to returning very soon!

Excellent once again can't fault this place, very talanted chef food delious, service impeccable, salmon was the best I have had and I've had a few, can't wait to return.

This was our 3rd visit in very close proximity to each other. Attending NYE with friends for Sunday lunch. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was delicious. Prawns, mushroom tortellini, scallops to start, all flawless. Then the mains included the lamb, beef salad and steak cooked perfectly. Our first visit and we’ll be returning in New Year.

Our son is off to Canada for a year so we wanted somewhere nice for a family meal (booked for 6pm on a Sunday). We all opted for the Sunday dinner, the beef was described and as slightly 'pink' in the menu. It was in fact cooked through and not really tender. The Yorkshire pudding were a fair size (if not a little too big for the plate) but again too well cooked and maybe moments away from burning in the oven. We all struggled with the knifes provided, they were blunt and couldn't get through the roast potatoes without a lot hacking. I could go on.... The waiter (a tall lacklustre guy) seemed disengaged. He asked the obligatory "everything fine with your meal" then walking away before we could really answer. When we ordered deserts he could only muster sliding a spoon down the table to our son! The Sunday dinners range from £20 to £23 per head and are a little overpriced. Deserts (sticky toffee pudding etc) were fine at around £8.00 per head. Drinks, were also fine at around £6 for a pint of beer, but the Zinfandel at £9 a glass was a little excessive. All in all, a quite expensive 'average' pub fair dinner. Came here with a friend for Sunday lunch. We both had the roast beef, which was perfectly cooked and very tender. I could have done with an extra potato and less greens but that is my preference. I did get a jug of extra gravy which completed the meal. First time here and I will be back.

Beautiful building, tastefully decorated and very clean. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, although service was unforgivably slow at a time when the pub was not at all busy. Menu choices were excellent, although perhaps a little light on offerings for vegetarian diners and those preferring more traditional pub classics. Food was in decent portions, very well presented and tasty - the only criticism expressed of the food was that the pastry on the cheese pie was hard (more like an overbaked hot water crust) and too copious - a flaky pastry and perhaps a top covering of that instead of a full top-and-bottom hard crust would have complimented the delightful filling instead of smothering it. Could the existing hard pastry be the reason for the unusual offering of gravy with a cheese pie?
