Este bar tiene mucho carácter y también los locales que lo visitan. El personal es muy amable y acogedor. Es un hogar lejos de casa. Una gran selección de comida, todo recién preparado por el propietario. Muy amigable para perros.

We popped in there about 10 days back. We found it dead as a squashed door mouse. The chap who was serving behind the bar with a shaven head held no conversation at all. I do not know who owns it, but it needs a really good shake-up. It could be a good business if the right person bought it. At the moment it is a no go for this couple.

No es la mejor opción de vinos o cervezas, pero lo suficientemente amable. Es más como entrar en la habitación de alguien que en un pub. Por esa razón es un poco diferente.

Personal amable. Buena comida que está bien de precio. Nos sentimos muy bienvenidos aquí. Es mucho mejor que cualquier otro de los restaurantes en saltdean. Las personas de mayor edad están reaĺly cuidados. Es un centro de comunidad real.

Esta fue una alegría encontrar en Longridge Avenue, en un ajetreado día de calor, el sábado pasado. El personal era increíblemente amable, y el propietario en realidad sabía cómo hacer un cóctel Black Russian el camino apropiado. No coca cola! Preciosa fuera de asientos en la parte delantera y la parte trasera. Me sentí muy cómodo allí, y sin duda volveremos. Ambiente muy relajado!

Bar local agradable que ha estado en Saltdean desde que puedo recordar, agradable en el buen tiempo, como estar con una bebida, y viendo el mundo pasar es bastante agradable. Cafés, tés, y aperitivos ligeros. Una manera agradable de pasar una hora o dos.

This bar has been in Saltdean for years- if you are looking for a friendly local bar it is great - nice little courtyard garden which has recently been redone. Well worth a visit as the place gets some real characters- shame no food !

Great Bar offering good choice of drinks both draft and bottled.Reasonable prices and nice atmosphere. Offers under cover rear terrace for Smokers. Highly recommended for a quiet relaxing drink.

Gullens has been going for many years. The owner and his staff are friendly and welcoming. Dogs are allowed so long as they are under control. Not too many kids which I prefer! Has the atmosphere of a club as everyone knows each other. Also a good place for elderly folk to get a good healthy meal at an affordable price.

Very weird establishment I have lived in Saltdean 21 years and never seen more than 2 people in at a time owner can often be seen in the local co op purchasing their old late used by meats etc for this special bistro . I'm Surprised it's still in business John Greg Saltdean

What a lovely quaint place this is we popped in to find a very friendly group of locals who made me feel very welcomed. The owner and staff were very pleasant and was advised us of the specials on the menu. We went for the traditional ham egg and chips which was outstanding very thick ham off the bone with lovely crisp chips. We will be back. I anandvvvvvvveggshells

Average food, and a miserable owner. This Bar /Restaurant has been here for many years and you can tell that when you walk into the place, as it is like going back in time. It could do with a total refurb, but I don't think the owner cares anymore. He has he's few regulars and that's all he needs, as he owns the freehold and made his money in the early days.

As you walk past the local shops in Saltdean you come across Gullens!! a few tables outside with people drinking beer, this small bar advertises Tea and a biscuit on the window! supported by locals where everyone seems to know each other. Not a great choice of beers.

Friendly little place. Nice food and drink. Company excellent, Saltdean people please visit for nice evening post work drinks and wholesome food

Fully licensed pub/restaurant with friendly service and a really wide range of food, from sandwiches to steaks, via pasta and curry! Very popular with locals, we'll worth a visit.

Friendly staff, good wholesome food. People from Saltdean should visit this place. A little old fashioned, but quaint, it gives the other two big pubs a run for their money. If you want to support local business rather than the multi nationals visit Mike at Gullens.
