Popped in today and had a brunch , a really good breakfast for me and scone for my wife. Contrary to a number of other reviews we had really friendly service and interesting conversation from both of the ladies working at the cafe.

No idea where the nasty reviews are coming from. G&Ts is run by two pleasant ladies, we visited 4 times over 10 days & the cafe was always full. Each time they greeted us with a smile & asked if we had had a nice day & what were our plans for the rest of the day. It was lovely to listen to one of them singing along to the music which shows she is happy in her work. Ingleton definitely needs this cafe 😉 Melted hot chocolate to die for & lots of scrummy homemade cakes, especially the Ginger Cake, on our last visit we both wanted a piece & after she served it she said the portions weren't the normal size so would we also like a piece of flap jack as well (which was absolutely gorgeous) she didn't have to do that. Keep up the good work & ignore the unpleasant remarks. We will definitely be back in March & bringing friends too 🤗

Don’t bother even walking in, carry on to The Village Kitchen, where they will greet you with a smile! These women have no idea what they’re doing.

Nice tea and food with pleasant surroundings but I agree with other reviewers about the service. Whilst it was not overtly rude, most queries and small talk I made produced challenging replies. Shame.

My second review. Had a poor experience here in September 2023 but my daughter wanted to try it as such a good spot after the waterfall walk. Customer service much much better. We had cake, cheese scone and coffees. All good. Happy to give them a second chance and it was much much better

As per other reviews . The lady was so rude . I have not encountered someone as rude in many years . A rude / nasty lady who is not fit to be in a customer facing business. She should be ashamed of herself.

As with the other comments. One of the staff members was impolite and unwelcoming to all of us but extremely abrupt to one of my children. It is pricey so good customer service is expected especially when the food was only ok. The tea was tepid and there wasn't enough of it. That is just a basic mistake for a cafe in a village with a lot of walkers.

Cakes and coffee were nice but the atmosphere was not great. It was busy both times we visited and when we were waited the server shouted at us with a rude tone “well I have to make these drinks first”. We appreciate it might have been busy and perhaps there isn’t enough staff but a simple “oh I’m sorry we are a bit busy, I need to sort these drinks first then I’ll be right with you” wouldn’t have hurt and would have made the whole experience at bit more pleasurable instead of feeling like we were an inconvenience!

We thought this cafe was so good we went twice in 3 days! Really don't understand the negative reviews on here as we were warmly welcomed on both visits. The breakfast was amazing and the cakes delicious, there is a little bit of a wait for your food but that is because it is cooked to order and well worth the wait! Would recommend.

This cafe did not have a welcoming atmosphere, but we were starving and gave it a go. Two women running this place were both rude and hostile towards customers. I observed this during our long wait for breakfast. Numerous times were very offhand and not friendly at all. At one point I heard one of them shout ‘what are you doing! Don’t touch that unless you want to pay £50 to replace it’ I looked up thinking she was talking to the other staff member but she was talking to a customer! Said customer was so embarrassed, it was not a nice atmosphere. Although the food was good when it did arrive, we won’t return here and I do not recommend.

We have been to G & Ts many times now and can see why they have won awards. The food is always excellent and prices are very competitive. Gina and Thalia are always welcoming and friendly. They have lots of cakes and other treats on offer with everything freshly made. The perfect village cafe. They put a lot of effort into the little things with treats for the dogs and a free sweetie for when you go! We love it there and feel very lucky to have them in our village.

This cafe is situated in a excellent place in the village of Ingleton. Sadly, though the service has a lot to be desired. The cafe was not that busy but I waited 40 minutes for a breakfast and there were one or two others there who were only waiting for a bacon sandwich and they had finished their drinks by the time the food arrived. There was no apology for the wait and I have to say that the staff were not very friendly.

I’m not usually one to write negative reviews but after my experience just now, I had to feedback. My mum, one year old son and I dropped in to the cafe after a lovely walk around Ingleton. On arriving we weren’t even greeted, if anything were seen as an inconvenience. I had the affront to use the high chair for my son and on getting a wooden folk and two paper straws I was greeted with a challenge of “why did you do that” and muttering between the two owners. I said I’ll put them back, to which I was again challenged with “that will lead to contamination”. I couldn’t believe it. As a paying customer, I literally used a wooden fork and two paper straws and was treated with utter contempt. If this is the standard of customer service, no wonder the cafe was dead. Will use other village cafes in the future. NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!

Very rude staff I left due to this. Was working on business and the door sign stated to sit down and review the menu before making an order, which I did. I then approached the till and wasn’t greeted with a hello, but a ‘you could have asked before plugging in your laptop’ I said ‘oh sorry I thought that would be okay as I’m ordering food here’ to which they responded ‘it is okay but you could have asked’. So I left and felt very unwelcome. The staff in the village kitchen round the corner are much more lovely, spend your money there! Missed out on good business here, all for a very jobsworthy point being made.

We were regulars ot G&T's when they were in Suffolk and will definitely be making that 600 mile round trip as soon as we are able. Gina is an exceptional chef and Thalia a very friendly and pleasant lady. We always received excellent food and service at G&T's. ‘An Ode to Gina and Thalia’ G&T’s has gone away We won’t be going there today 300 miles for a cup of tea It's quite a way for even me What are we going to do today Where shall we go? What do you say I wish I knew where we could go There is no other place I know We’ve tried them all and come up blank Just putting petrol in the tank To run around the countryside Looking, seeking, far and wide Hunting for that special space Our G&T’s café to replace Do let us know in case we come Your opening times in Ingleton We trust that you are doing well We’d like to know so do please tell By ‘we’ I mean Elaine and me One day we’ll come for that cup of tea. Lovely spot in Ingleton with outside seating. Nicely decorated. Good selection of cakes. Scone was delightful. Bakewell tart was ok, pastry a little overworked and tough. Cappuccino fine. However sadly service was terrible. We arrived and the immediate comment to us was we are very busy there will be a wait. Ok said we how long to which the reply was well the quicker you order the shorter the wait. Then a huge sigh. Then a counting of the orders to tell us there are 9 before us. To which we again had to ask what died that mean and then told the wait would be fifteen minutes. We said fine and ordered as we were there. The tone of conversation was disinterested. It’s hard being in customer service and tough when busy but taking g it out on your customers is poor. Honestly it’s the rudest experience in a cafe I’ve experienced since the 1980s.. Such a shame as customer service in other places such as peaks and troughs, and station at Ribble Head was brilliant.

What a find! G&T Cafe and Kitchen is fairly new in Ingleton. The atmosphere is very friendly, relaxed, has great soft music, clean simple decor. The food is all fresh, prepared to order, its really good and tastes as it should! The homemade cake selection is fab. My egg mayo and Bakewell tart hit the spot! Apple juice was perfect, coffee good too. As a solo traveller, you notice other peoples reactions to a place. I could see various faces “light up” as they bit into their food and various customers commented on how they’d enjoyed the cafe and food as they paid and departed. The ladies who own and run the cafe are modest. But customer satisfaction is obvious. Thanks G&T for a good lunch and for coming to Ingleton!! I’ll be back.

stopped here for a rest and a coffee half way through our walk along the river from Barden Bridge. Delicious coffee and a lovely place to stop. A little chilly to sit outside for us, but inside was nice and warm and a friendly atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and quick to serve our coffees. However, one of the staff, a young lad, gave me some cause for concern. He had his dark hair in a pony tail (?!) , but the bits of hair that wouldn't go in the pony tail were hanging all over his face, and he kept flicking them back out of his face - while he was making coffees etc. Is this particularly hygienic, it gave me a bit of "ick" while I was standing waiting for my two coffees. Perhaps he can do something about his hair, e.g. (but a bit drastic) wear a hair net to keep all his hair out of his face and away from the food. Both the other female staff's hair was very neat and out of their faces. Sorry to make this negative remark, but it wasn't a good look.

We booked a table here the other night for 5.30 and we had the fish pie and lamb shank and a pint. Food arrived in good time. The portion sizes were huge and very tasty and only just fit on the plates. The food was definitely warm enough as it took a while to cool to eating temperature. The Fish pie had lots of fish and prawns in it aswell as a really delicious sauce and creamy mashed potato. The lamb shank was large and very tasty. Nice friendly staff. Very reasonable prices and good beer. Decor had a nice old fashioned pub charm which unfortunately you don't see anymore with bistro ponsy pubs everywhere. Not sure where all the negative reviews of this pub are from, probably by miserable customers who expect royal service and silver tableware but don't want to pay the price for it. Would highly recommend this family run pub.

We came here not knowing any review or the place itself. We came on a Thursday evening about 6pm, were greeted politely and shown to a table. The server provided us with menus and came back five minutes later to take our order. Prices are reasonable, portions are a good size and the service and food were excellent. I don't always believe the odd negative review of Fish n Chip Restaurants as not all positive reviews are recorded, just the negative ones. We will definitely be returning when we are in the area again.

Waited over 15 minutes to get served a drink. One uninterested barman for over 70 people. Had pre-ordered our food . It was given to someone else. The management refused to replace it as the kitchen was about to shut. Very arrogant attitude. On the plus side, a good pint of beer. Ate next door at the very friendly Lister Arms.

Unfortunately, the worst meal I've ever had at a Weatherspoons. Gourmet steak for me and char grilled chicken for my wife. Both sent back as being tough and uneatable. I suspect these had been pre-cooked and warmed up. The replacements were marginally better but not much. Very dissapointed.
