Always order our Chinese takeaway from here; the service is really good and fast (we usually only have to wait a maximum of 20 minutes between ordering and collecting) and the food is really tasty - definitely one of the best Chinese takeaways in the Faversham/Canterbury area.

Won’t be returning. Girl on desk’s words were ‘what do ya want then?’ When taking my order. I specifically explained I wanted the set meal but to swap one of the dishes. She clearly was not listening and I had to repeat this several times. I even messaged my partner at home to say I wasn’t sure she had understood because she wasn’t listening and seemed more interested in whatever else was going on. I waited well over half an hour for a small set meal. To be fair, she did apologise. On arriving home I had been given the mushroom dish I didn’t want: we both hate mushrooms so completely inedible for us. I phoned and the girl said ‘well I did tell them so it’s not my fault’ Just unbelievable. Didn’t even suggest a £5 voucher for next time or attempt to resolve. Gross service and food was barely warm. Won’t ever return.

Best Chinese in Faversham and does some great dumplings. Japanese Gyoza.

It is the best Chinese takeaway I have found in the Canterbury/faversham area. The food is priced at a standard price and most of the dishes are better quality than the equivalent at other takeaways.

Food very disappointing. Sloppy and bland. When I lived in faversham, this used to be a good takeaway. Sadly, not the case now. Won’t be using them again.

Thai red curry This dish was absolutely vile!!! It tasted of disinfectant. Clear, inedible liquid with very slimy chicken. It has gone in the dustbin.

Used to be my favourite chinese in town, food quality has gone down drastically over the last few months, soups are watery, meats are dry and sparse and flavours are off. Shame really, this place used to be great.

Great Chinese. Bit expensive (£4 for boiled rice is a bit much) but it is what it is in Faversham these days. Always go here for our takeaway and never been disappointed.

Tasty hot food at a very reasonable price

Ripped me off by nearly a tenner. If their prices have gone up they need to update their menu online. Didn’t get a receipt either.

Wouldn’t even give 1 star. Terrible food. Coming from someone who eats chinese food near enough every night. Ribs like old boots, king po chicken tasteless. Won ton soup just coloured water and won tons, no cabbage pak choi mushrooms and absolutely no taste. Very disappointed as it isn’t cheap food price wise but does taste cheap rubbish. Bin job. Avoid. Try teynham chinese (not the pub) or china world in sittingbourne.

I don't eat Chinese myself but my husband and kids say this is the best in Faversham. Such a quick service and good value.

The food I've had from here in the past has been generally excellent. Unfortunately the set meal I ordered over this last weekend was very poor. Specifically the sweet and sour pork balls were extremely tough and stringy. The quantity (which was generous) regrettably didn't make up for poor quality, especially as I was laid low (polite description) the following day. I strongly suspect that the pork was to blame, as it was was the only meal I had eaten for at least 12 hours prior and following. I sincerely hope they look into this, and improve the food quality a.s.a.p.

First and last time we order from here. Absolutely awful food. Rice was clearly yesterday’s, rubbery and massive blocks of rice stiff and stuck together. Crispy shredded chilli beef from deep fried NOTHING! Way too much garlic in beef & mushrooms. The beef had clearly been cooked a few times, slimy & very chewy, BBQ spare ribs UNDERCOOKED. Ended up in the whole family fighting for the toilet all night with bad stomachs. Will never be ordering from here again. All these good reviews are either fake or from people that have been living on the streets and used to food from the garbage. Save yourself some money and toilet paper and order from Teynham Chinese opposite co-op!

Best place in Faversham to get a Chinese! Love the food and accurate time estimates. Hard to find a place to park and pick up but there is a Morrison’s behind which you can stop in quickly

Salt! Omg! Almost inedible takeaway due to very high salt content. My daughters’ shared a portion of pork crispy noodles. Just mouthfuls of salt and the sauce smelled of raw fish. I’m assuming this is the sauce base- but definitely not pleasant with pork. My very average Thai Green contained cheap ingredients such as tinned mushrooms and was a much smaller portion than when I had it last year. However, the baked king prawns in chilli, were delicious. My son had the crispy chilli beef which was quite good. Spring rolls filled only with bamboo shoots and a few tiny slivers of carrot. Edible, but clearly cost cutting. On the whole, not great from Great Wall. I have eaten from there before and the Thai Green used to be just amazing. Not anymore. Food not piping hot or as spicy and fresh as it should be. I will try the other restaurants and takeaways in the area. Such a shame.

Having just moved to a new town, you need to know a few essential things. What day are the bins collected? Where can I get a pint of milk after 11 at night? Who is that weird statue in the town square supposed to be? That sort of thing. And at the top of most rational people’s lists of things to know is where to get a good Chinese takeaway. To answer this, I’d heartily recommend Great Wall. Excellent food, speedily ready (although it being 6:30pm on a Wednesday, I’d hardly imagine it’s peak time), and very reasonably priced. The only thing that was less than perfect was that they didn’t deliver, but as I only live a brisk five-minute stroll away this was not a problem, and the food was still piping hot when I served up at home. I may find other places that are just as tasty and do deliver, but I’m reassured that whatever anywhere else can offer there’s always satisfaction to be had here.

Great food but there is often long waiting times for food

We visited the great Wall on Saturday 31st November, it was busy, which I totally understand, but we wasn't even acknowledged as we stood at the counter, we must have been standing there at least 10mins, then the phone started ringing, the person behind the counter, ignored us again, and answered the phone, unbelievable.... I will not go there ever again...

Service is excellent! I can take my takeaway on time or before the scheduled time, always:)! Food tastes very good, you may try their crispy beef if you like sweet and sour thingy or fried and salted chicken if you like popcorn chicken. GIVE A TRY AND YOU WILL LOVE IT :9

What has happened here? Yes extremely popular... victims of their own success! Two Saturdays within a month we ve visited and twice they've over run with customers in both the shop and on the phone placing orders. Twice we be been overcharged for what we actually received as not fulfilled our full order. Discovered once home the first time we actually had someone else's order and had to drive all the way back! Very little in the way of an apology either time! Guess their popularity means they won't miss loss our business. Never again.

10/10 on the staff there they was more than happy to let me do packet in there whilst I waited for my seagull chow mein, when it arrived it was piping hot and was a very generous portion size. The drink selection wasn't too good as I was only offered carrot juice.

Ordered from here tonight. Was told that our food would be ready to collect in 20 minutes. When my partner arrived she was told that the food was going to be another 15-20mins!! Eventually when we received the food it was very bland & cold!! Won't be ordering from here again as even when I called the takeaway the guy who answered was useless and was no help whatsoever.

I always like to come here when I am in town on business. The udon noodles with duck is lovely. You don't always get that type of noodle in a takeaway. The spare ribs are to die for. Such a shame I live far away. Worth visiting

Usually the food is very nice sometimes they have an off day but generally very good. The lady that works on the front counter is very polite and nice to talk to you however I feel that she could do with a hand when she's trying to take orders from walking customers and answer the phone especially on a Friday and Saturday night went very busy. Very frustrating when you can't get through on the phone

Usually I am very happy with 'The Great Wall' and it has some lovely dishes offer, the chilli beef is gorgeous. Good selection of vegetarian options too. I have never had a bad meal from them but I've noticed the quality has diminished recently, prices have increased and the service I received was rather slap dash. The poor lady behind the counter was really rushed off her feet on a Saturday night and I could see they were only just coping. I felt so bad for her, struggling alone while still smiling! This take- away should have two service staff on Saturdays evenings, (one to take orders by phone and hand out meals and another to take orders in the shop) as you end up with poorer service and longer waiting times.I called to order my meal at 7.20pm on a Sat evening and was told a 45 minute wait. So I waited until 8.10pm before collecting, thinking that would be plenty of time. On arrival, I was kept waiting a further 20-25 minutes before collecting my meal. So it was more than an hr and a half in total. I am quite patient but was rather annoyed at having to wait again with no apology. The meal was below par too; hot- but only just, prawns in batter were a dry and the sauce was lack lustre, rather dull. The rice tasted fine but I noticed it had an odd smell to it, slightly plastic and chemically. You can always tell when a meal has been made very hastily made. It was edible but average. I also don't like the fact they use tinned mushrooms. I like tinned mushrooms normally at home but not in a dish I'm paying £7 for! The prices have gone up considerably too: 1 prawn starter, 1 Green Thai curry and 1 plain steamed rice, total was £15. Quite expensive overall. I will eat here again as I've had great meals in the past. However, I will advise my family to avoid Saturdays in future and only go to the Great Wall during the week for the occasional treat.

Great menu, good value, fast service, large portions. Parking is sometimes a problem as The Great Wall is located on a one way street. But even if you park around the corner to collect your order, don't worry the food is piping hot.

Probably the best takeaway I've had in Faversham recently! Everything we had was hot and freshly prepared. We were all very happy with the meal - just a shame they don't deliver!

on Saturday my wife was out with our daughters,i didn't want to cook so decided to have a take away so went to the great wall in Faversham.i ordered three dishes,egg fried rice, , salt and pepper prawns,and sweet and sour chicken balls.what a load of rubbish ihad when got it home the rice tasted mouldy the 1 inch cube of chicken had soft soggy dough the size of a tennis ballround it and the salt and pepper prawns seemed like they were covered in salty concrete it was the worst meali have ever had it went straight in the dustbin.if only I had bought a bottle of cava and some fish and chips from ossies at two thirds of the price silly me.

Pensamos en probar la pared en vez de nuestra Grwat ordinario chino llevar en la calle Preston. Pedimos por teléfono con un menú limitado en línea. Cuando mi compañero estaba dijo que tenía que tener 2 comienza a pesar de uno porque había odering 3 de nosotros comer intentó explicar que sólo quería uno como la tercera persona era un niño, pero la persona que sirve un inglés limitado así que desistimos y pagado 2. Nuestra orden de 10 libras más de lo que pagará por la misma comida en la calle Preston nos sorprendió lo caro que era. Cuando llegamos a casa sólo teníamos un plato?????? Pagamos por 2. Nos sentimos estafados, así que pudimos disfrutar de la comida y no volveré. Volverá a utilizar el chino hemos usado por más de 30 años como nunca me sentí decepcionado por ellos.

Not impressed person behind counter coundnt understand us. Couldn't work out how a chineese bought from another local take away for the same dishes is around £30 but we have just been charged £40 told we have 2 mixed starters because we had to have 2 as its 1 per person even though we wanted 1 then we get home and only have 1. feel very ripped off. Will not use again. Very bad customer service indeed.

Decent menu, although not that exciting - pretty much your standard Cantonese for English folk offer, but with the odd extra dish.Exceptionally friendly service whilst being fast and efficient.Vegetarian and hot dishes are clearly marked (and unusually you can taste the chili where it's indicated).Reliably good - the food isn't exceptional, but it's consistently good - I've never had a dish that wasn't decent.

This is not our normal take away but tried it recently and was very happy with our meal. really enjoyed the prawn toast and prawn crackers.

It's now called "Great Wall" due to a change in management. Really good takeaway, best Chinese we've had in Faversham. Salt and Pepper squid and crispy duck were particularly good. Chow mein was average. Only complaint is a bit too much salt which I could only tell afterwards by how much water I was drinking! This one will be our regular now though. They accept card payments but don't have a website so you need to get a menu.
