A Chinese restaurant that doesn't know what a chow mein is, need I say more? They got my order wrong after 45min of waiting, on top of that its overpriced, not clean, flies everywhere, avoid at all costs🤢

We just had a takeaway and can honestly say it’s the worst Chinese food ever eaten … three Of us sharing and all agreed - Most of it went I the bin. Even the sauces were horrible ! Tasteless and not cheap at all !! Won’t be using again.

We came here for a late lunch. We were seated right away. The food was good and chatted with the couple who owned the restaurant. It's located adjacent to the Faversham market, which is very easy to find. Parking lot is nearby.

Had the pleasure of taking lunch away from China Village today. I always said the only thing missing in Faversham was good sushi and I passed and spotted the board saying they serve Japanese sushi. I was met by such a warm lovely couple and their beautiful grandson and had the pleasure of taking away an excellent curry and sushi. What an unexpected treat, thank you all!

I am sorry to say that I had the worst restaurant experience at China Village tonight and probably the worst restaurant experience in my lifetime. My friend and I were forgotten about after we ordered drinks and had to ask for our drinks and to order our food. We along with other tables were given no plates until we asked and at one point a table of 5 people got up and left as they were forgotten about. Another table were asking for spoons to dish up and we didn't get any either. One table asked for a clean fork and this was taken from the table that had previously left. This customer asked for a clean one. We were given sparkling instead of still water, given duck instead of lamb and saw the waiting staff bringing out wrong dishes and running back into the kitchen. They explained they were understaffed yet had a chat with customers whilst we were waiting for our bill. In the end we went to the bar to pay as we were sick of waiting. All their tabs were muddled and they had to put through our order on the system twice as they weren't confident with the system asking us what we had had twice. They even asked us who had served us food as they couldn't remember who took our order. £71 for the bill and my friend felt robbed. The food was very questionable too. Normally I take leftovers home but my stomach couldn't handle it. At first we laughed, but then we became annoyed. Fawlty Towers is the only word I can give and will not be going back.

We stopped into this restaurant after a visit to the lovely cinema in faversham, with our two young boys. The service was excellent and the food was the best Chinese food we've had in a while. The staff were excellent with our kids and no exorbitant service charge was added to the bill as it is in most places these days. A wonderful evening and we will return! Thank you

We've been going to this Chinese restaurant for years and have always enjoyed our visits, but our last visit was different, There seems to have been a change in management. We like the spicier dishes, Singapore and Szechuan style, On our last visit, they were bland and far too sweet, so I asked for chilli oil to zing them up a bit. I was surprised to be charged £2.50 sauce, The first time I have ever been charged for chilli oil in a Chinese restaurant. The helpful young staff we normally encounter had been replaced buy 2 older men, one of whom was decidedly grumpy and bossy!

Great location, good atmosphere, friendly, fast service - and I’m afraid that’s about the best I can say. Grilled dumplings were very dull and very stodgy; chicken and sausage ‘hotpot’ clearly not a hotpot; ‘king prawn Kung Po’ clearly not king prawns but strange, vaguely prawn-flavoured mush extrusions in commercial batter and a nasty sweet sauce. Best thing eaten was freshly-cooked Bok Choi which was not on the menu. Having said that, everyone else in the crowded dining room seemed perfectly happy, so maybe it’s just me!

Was quite when we was in there so wasn't much atmosphere, food was over priced for what it is, most was pretty bland and oily. I've had better from take aways.

This is much better than it was. Although the food has always been good, it was let down by the slow service, our last meal there took hours and we were hesitant about going back. But, they have got another waitress now and the service was swift and the food arrived promptly and was hot. Nothing felt too hurried nor were we sitting waiting.

We had an amazing meal here on Monday afternoon/evening! Mixed starter for 2, the best prawn toast I've had this tide of Vietnam! Spare ribs to die for, seaweed, and pancake rolls which were terrific! I had Szechuan chicken main... Mmm Other half had ¼ crispy duck. We were both very pleased with our meals Thank you Sie

Excellent food, excellent service! We were in Faversham looking for a meal on Sunday 7th August and came across China Village, which at first looked like a takeaway, but on further inspection had many tables further back in the premises. The 4 of us selected various dishes including our French friend, who thought it was the best Chinese food we've had in a long while. Enjoyed the crisp white tablecloths, something not seen much these days.

Food took three times as long as promised, and while I waited a customer called me a c*nt for asking how long it would be, to which the staff had zero reaction. Food wasn't bad, but can't recommend it over others in Faversham.

I get a takeaway every week or so and it’s by far the best food I’ve had. The people are the front are always so nice and friendly. Chef specials are brilliant!

Had a family meal here the food was excellent but I’m sorry the service was poor. No draft beer, wine was not cold. It would appear that Jimmy the owner has now leased the restaurant out as a result the place lacks the Jimmy touch.

The food was amazing and so was the service. We had the vegetarian feast for 3 and each course was amazing and there was a lot of food, I would advise going with a empty stomach - we ended up taking a doggy bag home of some of the 3rd course - tofu in yellow bean and aubergine in sauce. Would definitely go again if I am in Kent again.

I find it very disappointing waiting so long for a takeaway (3 hours) that I was told would only take an hour!Then to find, many people turning up for their orders and also having to wait only to be told the restaurant is understaffed. To then add to the list of problems -Was unable to get refund due to the lady not knowing how to do card refunds and running out of cash.

Excellent quality of food and a nice menu. However on a couple of occasions, the takeaway collection times have been a bit hit and miss. Only eaten in once and it was lovely. I keep meaning to go again.

Lovely staff and tasty food. Capital spare ribs were so yummy and if you eat fish try the steamed sea bass in ginger and spring onion..so so good!

In the past I’ve had so-so experiences at China village but since the new management has taken over I cannot say enough about the quality of the food. It’s less greasy, fresher tasting...a fabulous range of dishes to taste. Highly recommended.

Had a takeaway last night. Hot and sour soup was neither hot or sour. Special fried rice only contained egg and chicken. No shrimp, pea or vegetables. Sweet and sour pork was a mush. No pineapple, peppers or onion. Stir fried noodles and beansprouts were dried up as if cooked hours ago. I've always loved China Village but never again

It is one of the nicest experiences coming to China Village. Even during lock-down we still go for takeaway with the same fabulous food. It is a taste sensation

Fantastic take away meal incl a couple of Tiger Beers thrown in free of charge to celebrate Chinese New Year . Very generous portions , really enjoyed the meal.

I had lovely experience picked up a takeout from China village always lovely people coping with what’s going on picked my order on time agreed. Beautiful food I’m eating my seconds on Sunday still lovely. Mmmmm

We had this take away back in June, it was probably the best we have had 9/10 and decided to have again Tuesday, sadly it was nowhere near as good 5/10. It was mostly cold, the starters had been cooked in what tasted like old oil and the sauces for the mains were thin and runny. What a disappointment and a real shame as we were so looking forward to it especially as it was for a special birthday.

Just had a really lovely takeaway from China Village. It was piping hot and ready for collection at agreed time. We had beef in black bean sauce and chicken in yellow bean sauce both with special fried rice. The portions were generous and all were really delicious. We'll be back soon!

Have had two excellent meals here now in the last few weeks. The food is excellent and there is a great amount of choice. The people who work here are friendly and attentive and the restaurant is clean and well looked after. I really would recommend this as a place to eat and it’s great value too.

We’ve been eating at China Village or having takeaway for over 20 years. Never been disappointed. Lovely food and good service.

Heard that the restaurant was open for takeaway collections so decided to place an order. The collection was well managed, the door was open, greeted by Jimmy the owner who was wearing protective gloves, contactless payment, order was placed on a table by the door to pickup. Wonderful food, beef and black bean was amazing as were the sweet and sour chicken balls in fact our order was one of the best Chinese meals we have had. Well done Jimmy and his chef.

Chinese New Year the place was rammed, we had a long wait for the table that we had booked but the Manager did his best and looked after us well. There was a long wait for food and between courses but when it came the food was very good indeed. We had the banquet set menu with a good variety of starters - the prawns were lovely to follow several mains including lobster with noodles , yum . We have been here before and had an excellent meal each time it was just the wait that let it down this time !

I absolutely love the food here.This is my go to restaurant for any occasion. Ive been here with family and quite young child, with friends and also with a large group. Delicious, reasonable, staff so helpful, I eat mainly vegetarian with a little fish, and there are many dishes to choose from. The braised Sezuan aubergine is delicious and Five willows fish lovely.Prawn with ginger and spring onion is too. We usually have Sizzling mixed vegetables in black bean sauce.. ask for more variety, and you get it. If you have a deadline, going to cinema opposite they will serve you really quickly. Im going again today, can’t wait! New Year’s day. do hope they are open, You really should try it! u

my wife and I really love this restaurant. but on Saturday I went for a take away,very early about 6pm restaurant was nearly empty I ordered a few dishes and crispy duck with pancakes,which is one of our favourite things on the menu.WHATS GONE WRONG this duck was dry with soggy skin goodbye crispy.and some sort of disgusting dry rub that was burnt black and tasted vile get your duck back to normal jimmy,people wont like this and its a very popular dish.

I’ve been coming here for many many years , even takeaways when I was little ! Can’t beat this chinese . I moved out of faversham 4 years ago but will still come back to this chinese ! Amazing staff and wonderful food ! Can’t fault it

Other Chinese restaurants should bow their heads. Hard to get a table as so popular and quite right to. Lots of attentive staff. Food comes out rapidly and is of the absolute top quality.

Crossed over the road from the cinema and decided to give China Village a try, we have recently moved to the area.

We visited this restaurant for a family lunch. We ordered food and some came out and some was missing. When we asked why, the waitress was abrupt and just picked up one dish to take it back to add the missing parts! The rest of the food was left to go cold whilst we waited with no apology or explanation. When she then brought more missing dishes out, we explained that the food that had come out was cold, she got defensive and argumentative and was extremely rude. She even asked another customer to try it to prove it wasn’t cold!! We then said we were not happy and were leaving and she threw a spoon down onto the table and shoved past us. On leaving she raised her voice and picked the phone up to call someone. We think she was calling a training company to book some customer service training as she had no people skills whatsoever!! Avoid this restaurant at all costs. Overpriced and extremely rude staff.

I’ve been here several times now and the service can be good one visit and bad the next.

I cannot believe that this restaurant was recently given one star,by Swale Borough Council I don’t know how they came to this decision,but all the meals I’ve had and eaten in the restaurant have been superb

There was four of us for dinner and we all enjoyed the food very much. The value is spot on and I am sure we would all recommend it for a good Chinese meal. The service could have been friendlier.

China village was recommended by a relative for Sunday lunch food and not being buffet style. It was great we all had a good meal and when we told them my granddaughter had an allergy for sesame oil and seeds the chef cooked chicken and vegetables in batter for her as she wanted sweet and sour chicken. They also told us when putting down our selections what she couldn't have.

I like this restaurant,all the food, service and staff are excellent,lots of different meals. I personally like the fish dishes,ive had other food which is just as good,ive eaten here over twelve years

It was a lunchtime group meeting at this venue and our first visit. Very impressed with the welcome, the staff and the food were superb. Everything was very enjoyable. Lovely ambience, very clean and we would definitely go again.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch today as part of group of about 36. The starters were served to everyone very quickly and were hot and delicious. The ribs were succulent and extremely tender. Our selection of main courses included a range of different flavours, meats and textures and were enjoyed by all. Service was fast and efficient, nothing was too much trouble.
