Just eaten here for the first time, took my daughter for lunch as she was complaining of having to eat tinned tomatoe soup on her lunch break (she's too bone idle to make anything else and too tight to buy anything else !) She ordered a chicken ceaser salad and said it was the best salad she had ever eaten. I ordered a steak sandwich and it was cooked to perfection. As i was paying my daughter was quick to return to the counter to select a pudding and ordered stack of pancakes filled with awsomeness which is exactly what they were. The portion size was huge and we struggled to eat it all between us but we managed. The bloke behind the counter was lovey as well. We will certainly be going back and would recommend you give this a try

Gorillaz cafe is next to the recently opened intershape gym. We had heard good reports from colleagues and have recently joined the gym so decided to call for breakfast. The only breakfasts listed were small and large breakfasts. We ordered toast and tea and expresso coffee. The tea was very strong in a small pot with no extra hot water supplied. The coffee was served in an enormous cup and we asked as a joke if they had a bigger cup. As expected it was cold. The waitress then disappeared and shortly returned with a loaf of bread. By now we had finished our drinks and were still waiting for the toast. All the food available was written on blackboards on the walls. There were chicken, steak and burgers mainly. Also salads were listed and a nice selection of cakes. The cafe is quiet and lacks atmosphere. The waitress was friendly but seemed a little unsure of herself. It would have been quicker for us to drive the mile home and make our own breakfast to be honest. I would return if there were more vegetarian options for meals but all I could see was feta cheese salad. There were no menus on the tables so I assume the meals change regularly.

Stopped here for a coffee and cake before watching tour de France. Clean, with friendly staff. The coffee and the chocolate cake were actually very good .

Had 3 beautiful meals . would recommend this cafe to everyone i know. But to say it's a café. It had no relaxing vibes. Shame because I can't wait to get some more food from there, and the young man who served us a delight very well manured

My husband and I visited here after rave reviews from friends about the food. Food-wise, it was excellent. I had the chilli steak strips salad and my husband had a burger. Both meals were delicious and cooked perfectly. There is a large menu with a good selection from salads, burgers to protein shakes. All reasonably priced and massive portions! The only thing that put us off was the lack of atmosphere. We were the only people in there apart from the waitress, who was nice but clearly very bored. The set up is that of a works canteen - basic wooden tables and chairs and no atmosphere. I expect a cafe to be relaxed and homely, with some decent background music on, people chatting and somewhere to relax and chill out. Unfortunately, Gorillaz isn't like that - there was some old school Ricky Martin playing which was coming from the kitchen, a very bored looking waitress and uncomfortable seating. It does do very good food but in the wrong surroundings. There are a lot of cafes in Skipton and this is probably one of the better ones, food-wise, but I'd be pushed to go back due to the lack of atmosphere. But then again, I guess a cafe is all about the food and not what the surroundings are like and I should imagine that over time, it'll become more popular and develop a larger client base. That's why I've given it 4 stars and not 5

Had lunch at Gorillaz with my daughter and 16 month old grandaughter today. I had a quarter pound burger and my daughter had chicken and bacon salad. Both meals were of good quality and a generous plateful, We had a pushchair and at first thought we couldn't get upstairs but there is an unmarked lift in the entrance adequate for both disabled and pushchairs. Will definitely eat here again on my next trip to Skipton. Well done!
