I have held a few important functions here and like it a lot - not on my doorstep, but worth the journey. The building is pleasant with plenty of free parking onsite and public transport is nearby. The food there is always very special, a great wine list and the service is highly attentive. I have held dinners for 20 work colleagues and ladies nights for 80 and they have the various function rooms and service ability to look after both, and everything in-between. Definitely my venue of choice for special events

I attended he Glenmore House on 9 September for my niece's wedding reception. The venue has ample off-street parking in a private car park. Drinks on arrival were served by efficient and friendly staff who made everyone feel welcome. The wedding breakfast was very good from starter to dessert. The service was smooth and unobtrusive. The evening buffet offered an excellent range of food to suit all in plentiful quantities. The whole event was overseen by manager Faye who led her team calmly but with a close eye on everything that was going on.

Glenmore House, amazing venue which made our day perfect - Faye could not have done more to make our day everything we wanted and more, always there replying to my millions of questions in the lead up and happy to accommodate multiple visits both before booking & after. All staff we lovely and helpful but another in particular who stood out was Sam, always going out of his way to help us - just like Faye. We hired the beautiful Ballroom for both our ceremony, wedding breakfast and reception - in between each part of the day the staff worked quickly to re set the room exactly to our liking with all of our decor, taking extra care to make everything just how we wanted it. Faye was keen to listen to all of our ideas and didn’t push us in to the more traditional - we didn’t fancy the sit down three course so we went for a chefs choice buffet and added our own sweet table with sweets and donuts, the price of the food just like the venue overall was brilliant, throughout the wedding planning process the list of payments racks up fast with decor, outfits, transport etc, a lot of places adding on money simply for the fact it is a wedding but Glenmore house is more than worth the money they charge. Would recommend this venue to everyone, we will be back in the near future to try one of their Sunday carvery’s!

Attended a wedding here and had an absolutely fantastic time. The venue is really beautiful and the service second to none. I really can not rate the food more highly. This is Michelin standard food. Absolutely delicious. I would love to go back. This was such a lovely experience on a very special day. Well done Glenmore House and all the staff. A truly 5 star experience.

Had a fantastic time at there new years party. Food was absolutely fantastic, 7 course meal. All drink you wanted from the bar or wine brought to the table. Had all the party gear brought to us at the table. The service was great all night. All for £87. Will definitely go again.

Wow fab evening from start to end. Food, staff & service top notch, Disco chap Danny brilliant kept the dance floor full all night. Bacon rolls served 1:30 ish to round of the night. Will be booking again if we can get tkts, Well done all involved in evening.

What a night, venue, food and value for money out of this world, the price included your drinks and too many courses to count, bacon rolls at around 12:30. The disco was great packed floor from the 1st track, then confetti canons at midnight, will be booking for this year. Thanks Glenmore for a great, out of this world start to 2020

Had the most amazing New Year at Glenmore with wonderful friends making memories!! We laughed so much and had great fun. Fabulous venue. Fun photo area. Great DJ. Outstanding delicious food. Fantastic service from the staff who were very friendly. Everything was just perfect right down to the confetti cannons at midnight!! Such a good atmosphere. I already want to go back. We even had bacon rolls before we left. A really great evening that has left me wanting to go back. Five star all the way. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Held a large function here (have used before with success) - the Staff are very friendly and helpful from the early planning stages, the rooms are good, plenty of free parking at the rear and on the night the service was faultless and the food was vert well prepares and presented. 100% recommended.

As well as the wide choice, multiple courses on offer, the portions were extremely generous, the staff attentive, the bar prior relaxing and not as expensive as the local pubs/restaurants. All in all a big thank you to all for a brilliant way to spend a Sunday afternoon

We booked to go here for the once a month Sunday carvery. Bear in mind that you must book in advance and they usually get booked up fast! Myself and my boyfriend took my mum for a belated birthday lunch here. When I booked on the phone they told me that guests should arrive from 12. We arrived at 12 and were shown to the upstairs dining room and bar. We promptly ordered a bottle of Prosecco (£20.30) and sat down to enjoy a few drinks. At roughly 1pm we were told our table was ready and were shown into the dining room. There was 1 or 2 other tables already seated and in various stages of their meals. We were told that we would receive an amuse bouche of chicken salad once we had ordered our starters. Myself and my mum went for the chicken pate and my boyfriend went for the fish cakes. We didn’t have to wait long for the amuse bouche which was lovely and went well with the complimentary bread. The starters were good sized portions and tasty. Once we had finished we could then head up and get the carvery when we wished, it was nice not to be rushed. The portion size for the carvery is fab. You won’t leave hungry!! We all had the rib eye and it was lovely. The Yorkshire puddings are also amazing and a great size. One note would be to have the gravy a little thicker as it was a little watery but that’s just me being picky. We then could help ourselves to desserts/cheese which we did! And the desserts were lovely and a great selection. Tea and coffee is also included in the price. For £22 per person you get an awful lot of food. My only issues is that, because you are all slowly sat down and filtered into the dining room there was little to no ambience, potentially having music on in the background would have made this better? It’s also worth noting that the upstairs dining room is rather drab and unloved compared to the ground floor dining room which is a lot nicer. Definitely needs a bit of a spruce up! But all in all we had a lovely visit and will definitely be returning.

We booked Glenmore House for my husband's 50th birthday party for 75 people and from start to finish Jill, Faye and the team were fantastic. We has personal attentive service and excellent guidance from Jill at every stage of the planning - Jill has just the best 'certainly' 'that's not a problem' 'I'm sure we can' attitude and such great experience and advice you feel in really safe hands. She handed us over the lovely Faye for the night itself and she and her team (Marianne, Christian and the others) were brilliant. Everything was set up as requested before we arrived, serving teams were attentive to our guests, scanning the room for who needed topping up or soft drinks brought from the bar; they brought out a podium table for guests standing chatting (without being asked) for us to put drinks on. The canapés were fabulous: inventive, unusual and varied - none of the beige selection of bready offerings you usually get and, again, great steers from Jill on which ones were likely to be popular. Bottles were sale or return and Faye guided us on swapping out some less popular red for more popular Prosecco on the night. Money owed back to us for unconsumed bottles was returned within 48 hours. This is a gem of a venue and a brilliant team and all our guests were impressed. Thanks to the team for making this a great party.

We attended the popular Sunday Carvery today and can fully understand why it’s fully booked each month. The staff are extremely friendly, the bar for pre lunch drinks is not too pricey and the setting is truly stunning. The food is excellent value and is I consider one of the best Sunday lunches in the area. Will definitely be returning and will certainly be my go to venue, if it’s not fully booked!!

I visited with a group of neighbours for lunch yesterday. The seating was comfortable, and we had our own table for eight. Bottled water was already on the table, and our house wine was quickly ordered and delivered. A waitress brought our starters which were cold, and well presented, and then we were invited to visit the carvery. There was an excellent choice, roast beef, roast lamb, salmon, with a delightful array of vegetables to serve oneself to. For those who wanted dessert, there was a table with various confections to sample, also a good choice of cheese. Coffee was served as part of the price which was £20 per head plus the wine. All in all, a super lunch in a wonderful building. Unfortunately the carvery lunch is only available the first Sunday of each month, and website booking is recommended.

We had our wedding at Glenmore House recently and the venue was stunning. The team were incredibly helpful and we could not have asked for more help. The food was excellent and well catered and the team who set up the venue were amazing. Highly recommended and it was a day we will cherish. Thank you.

I have had a large number of happy parties at Glenmore House. The catering is excellent and the appearance beautiful. The waiting staff are very efficient.

Having already experienced one-off lunches at Glenmore House, I returned to try one of the regular first-Sunday-of-the-month roasts. It didn't disappoint.

The atmosphere of this Victorian house and main banqueting is first class especially if you are organising a function such as a Birthday, Wedding Breakfast, celebration or fund raiser. I have eaten a large number of times at Glenmore House and the food has always been excellent. Good management and staff.

They open up the dining room the first Sunday of the month for carvery roast dinners and I've been on a few occasions now. I have to admit a major part of the draw is the fascinating setting, sitting in the grand hall, and wondering about all the events that have taken place here over the years. The carvery is actually quite formal - you are served starters at your table. The selection of meats is always excellent and the portion generous...I don't know if it's bad show to go up for seconds? I've never needed to, partly because the dessert tables are always piled high and that's where I usually make a number of visits. An eccentric pick for a Sunday roast maybe but it always feels like an event.

Glenmore House, a hop, skip and jump from Surbiton station, is the town's busiest venue for 'functions'.

We’d considered a number of alternative venues but none ticked as many boxes as Glenmore House did for quality, style, affordability, flexibility and the sheer professionalism, competence, knowledge and helpfulness of the staff. We couldn’t recommend it too highly. Everything went smoothly on the day and it’s clear the staff just love doing their job and this comes through in everything they do. Huge thanks to everyone there.

Cannot recommend this place enough.

I recently held my wedding at Glenmore House and have to say, absolutely everything from start to finish was amazing.

He estado en bodas (una especialidad del lugar), fiestas de cumpleaños y muchos eventos de baile cena y. El lugar era originalmente una gran casa victoriana y es deliciosamente decoradas con un toque muy moderno. El personal ha sido bien seleccionado y son supervisados por un equipo de gerentes extremadamente competente para asegurar que la experiencia de los clientes es primordial. Y luego está la comida! ¡Guau! Nunca decepciona con un menú sofisticado y muy sabroso. El aparcamiento es amplio, pero en general para aquellas personas que viajen a cierta distancia o no desean beber y conducir, entonces hay un Holiday Inn a la vuelta de la esquina. Si estás buscando un lugar encantador para esa ocasión especial, entonces estás bien aconsejado para salir del sitio web de este lugar.

Lo que un lugar encantador! Asistimos a una boda y, aunque nos dieron un ascensor, hay un gran aparcamiento gratuito aquí - también puedes dejar aquí una noche. El edificio es muy bonito y al entrar en una sala pequeña, esto lleva a un bar de tamaño. Las bebidas eran bastante razonable.

Food and service were outstanding and overall atmosphere was lovely. Staff were great and we could not fault it.

Cena y baile - servicio excelente y la experiencia desde la planificación hasta la función de las instalaciones de lugar, la comida y el personal excelente, lo recomiendo sin dudarlo.

My son and wife held their wedding reception here on the 6th May 2017. Glenmore House and the team were magnificent and helped make the couple and their guests feel special. The meal, bar, event and general set up was perfect. Given other venues near by this was value for money and even the bar did not take advantage of it being a wedding. The main meal was fantastic and apart form those with certain dislikes, I only heard compliments on the quality. The evening buffet was also extremely good. My thanks and appreciation goes to everyone involved with Glenmore House.

Having previously had my daughters wedding at this venue,we decided to try the Sunday Lunch,and once again was not dissappointed .The food was excellent and plentiful,and such a friendly atmosphere throughout.Excellent value in such a unique environment.

Myself and my wife had our whole wedding day at Glenmore House on 4th March. We cant speak highly enough of the proffesionalism of Freya and her team.We had an amazing day and everthing ran just as we imagined. The food was great - our guests were stuffed! From start to finish we had full confidence in the team at Glenmore House and just had the most perfect day. All our requests from colour of sashes to dietry requirements were fulfilled and bar prices are good!! Our guests were very happy! We were and still are very happy! Thank you so much!

Went last Friday evening to a private function. I live in Kingston but this was my first visit to Glenmore House. All was very well organized, the food was good as was the service. There is a big bar area and the drinks are very reasonably priced. All in all a very good experience.

Attended a wedding recently and the food was amazing! Very well organised, extremely good service and excellent food. The vegetarian among us said that it was possibly the best dinner they had ever had when eating out, their rissotto was gorgeous. We had thai smoked chicken salad, roast beef and all the trimmings, followed by profiteroles which were all beautifully cooked and presented, not like normal 'wedding food' at all.Well done Glenmore house.

The Elizabethan suite is great for large groups. Big room (acoustics not great!), large bar and lounge area, very clean. The food is usually very good, and the waitresses excellent.

I went with a friend for the once monthly Sunday Carvery on the recommendation of other friends. Do go and enjoy all this delightful place has to offer. Such a shame it's only once a month! The food is incredible with so much choice and so much of it - all for £20 per head, excluding service! My friend uses a wheelchair and everyone was on hand to help at every turn of the corner. The dining room is big with masses of space between the tables so again not on top of each other. The food is cooked to perfection and the Yorkshire puddings are truly the biggest and best I've ever seen. Excellent service from all waiters who are led by a Service/Restaurant Manager who truly is on the ball. The wine list is long and has wines which are so often out of price range but here are listed as sensible prices. This is an amazing place at outstanding value for money.

My wife and had the pleasure of visiting Glenmore House for the first time last Sunday.We live relatively locally to the venue and for years have passed by, admiring the architecture of its beautiful Georgian/ Victorian exterior. After hearing through the grape vine that Glenmore House was open for carvery bookings on the first Sunday of every month we decided to give it a go and I am so glad we did - our experience was wonderful!We were greeted upon arrival by a sweet young man who directed us through to the bar area which, we were surprised to find, was contemporary in design; a pleasant contrast to the elegant, period features of the dining area.The bubbly young lady behind the bar welcomed us with a big smile and proceeded to whip up two Aperol Spritz' (a drink my wife and I have become addicted to following a recent trip to Italy).The atmosphere in the dining room was charming; a mix of devoted regulars and obvious new comers such as ourselves. All were treated with equal attention by the lovely team of staff there.Having said that, it was particularly nice overhearing a conversation between one of the young male waiters (who i can only assume had been there for some years) and an older couple whom he greeted with a sense of fondness and familiarity, going on to ask after each of their grandchildren by name. I have to say we were quite impressed.The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. All in all, five courses when counting the complimentary pre-starter and coffee and chocolates at the end.Astonishing value for money considering the price per person is only £20!I was sure that when it came to paying the bill there would be some kind of catch, a hidden fee or hefty service charge but this was not the case.I cannot speak highly enough of this place and have already recommended it to a friend who's daughter has recently become engaged and is on the hunt for a wedding venue. It transpires - following a conversation with the Managing Director who came over to our table to check that we were happy and that everything was ok with our meal - that the house hosts 100+ weddings annually. Not surprising as the dining room with its minstrel galleries and chandeliers is quite a romantic setting!All in all, I would say that Glenmore House is most definitely worth a visit. I notice a few others have referred to this place in their reviews as a bit of a hidden gem in Surbiton and we would certainly second that!

Glenmore House looks so fantastic from the outside and the dining room / s are lovely. We've eaten here three times over the last couple of months, twice for functions in the grand room on the ground floor and then once for Sunday lunch. Food is no frills, but tasty and the portions are good. the Sunday carvery was great value for money. Has the feel of a working mans club in some ways...

Had the Sunday carvery with family and the food was fantastic and amazing value for money. The only negative was having to ask staff to assist us, there was no one to meet and greet, guests seat themselves which was fine but having never been we weren't sure if anyone took drinks orders or how to go about ordering starters etc. Having said that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and will certainly go back.

Attended an event there last week, and the place is a gem. The staff are so nice, one waitress I fell in love with, she had a black RaRa skirt so short every time she went past all the men breathed in.The bar is large and well staffed, no wait required, the pre dinner sausages were excellent. The toilets are spotlessly clean and up to 5 star hotel standard.But the best part was the dinner. Starters was melon medley, then sorbet, then chicken Mediterranean, then apple tart. No faulted at all, but one member did complain that his cheese board was too cold. Just the right amount of service, just enough to get things done, and not too much to feel you were pushed for time. Disabled parking, easy to find, once you know someone who knows the way, some very nice rooms for meetings, what more could you ask. Nice price as well, meal for £25.

We recently had our whole wedding hosted at Glenmore House. Right from the ceremony, up until closing time, the staff were absolutely fantastic in dealing with a mixture of guests (kids and disabled people included)! Everyone seemed so experienced in delivering a more-than-necessary service on the day and we were really put at ease because of everyone involved. In the months leading up to the big day, Freya was massively instrumental in putting us at ease and getting back to us swiftly on every little question we had. The food was excellent, both the sit-down meal and the evening buffet, and we received a massive amount of compliments from friends and family too. On top of all that, the venue is obviously well looked after and gave us some lovely photo opportunities and we've come away hoping we get a chance to hold another function or event in the near future!

Our daughter had her wedding reception here last Friday. Nothing was too much trouble & it showed. The room looked stunning the food & service were excellent & there was a very personal touch. So many of the guests commented on how much they'd enjoyed the day.

The venue is fabulous and the food was fantastic. The bar was very reasonably priced. The staff were incredibly helpful.

We had a Dinner and Dance and 88 people attended the food was excellent and the staff were very very good, everyone who came said how much they enjoyed the evening I would recommend Glenmore House

We booked a lunch for 26 people at Glenmore House for my father in law's 90th birthday. The event could not have gone better and the staff at Glenmore House were outstanding (for example, we arrived early to put up some decorations and the chef came out to help us unload the car). The room and it's decor were just right and the service first class. We had a set three course lunch which was excellent as were the house champagne and wines - and all very good value for money. Would highly recommend!

Within minutes of coming into this establishment I was already worrying... I used the ladies bathroom to find one of the 2 toilets had no lock on the door to the point you could see straight though to the other side leaving nothing to the imagination.After ordering drinks at the bar (seemed a bit expensive to me) I am then told by my 75 year old father that's he hurt himself on the stairs and fallen to his knees, upon inspection the banister is broken and come away from the wall...my father suffers terribly with arthritus and relys on these rails to get up and down stairs I reported this incident to the staff and they put up notices to warn other diners but I'm upset this could happen in the first place when we were told children were swinging from the rail the weekend before why was this not checked?...we were meant to be celebrating his 75th birthday....so then into the restaurant where we stood for around 5 minutes completely ignored waiting for us to be told where we will be seated...the staff could see us there but we had to fetch someone ourselves to eventually be seated. The food was not to my liking but other people seem to enjoy it so I wont make a comment on that...its a carvery so expect carvery food..we were never asked if we wanted drinks?wine was then ordered by the table but I dont drink so what was I mean to do...I left my meal half way through so I could buy a soft drink from the bar to bring through with me. The puddings were placed on a table for people to help them selves but what were you choosing from? tho they looked pretty there was no signs to explain what they were, again we had to ask for help once we could find someone. The other worrying part of this day out is when standing outside a lady in a mobility scooter came out of the doors to go up the ramp but it appears to be poorly made she could not get up the ramp the cement appears too steep with not much room to be able to manuver...luckily we were there to help to push and pull her up the ramp. I won't be coming back here again anytime soon.

The wedding service was also held at Glenmore House. The room for the wedding breakfast was decorated beautifully with a long head table with thrones for Bride and Groom and lovely circular tables for guests. The three course meal was very nice however the service was quite slow between courses. The waitress's and waiters were quite rude and were overheard talking rudely about certain guests. Again the evening buffet was lovely especially the hot food but unfortunately the finger sandwiches were very dry. As I understand the music sound if monitored due to neighbours the bar music was very loud and the choice of music by the bar staff was in my opinion very garage!

Our daughter got married on 26th July 2014 and we held the wedding reception at Glenmore House in Surbition , this is a hidden gem .... the food and service are first class and are in line with a 5 star London Hotel, the staff and so friendly with nothing to much trouble. The attention to every little detail was truly outstanding ....I cannot recommend this venue high enough...a wedding day is an important family day ...at Glenmore House you will be ( like us ) 100% satisfied and very happy customers ...Ray Baxter ( Father of the Bride )

The most fabulous wedding reception ever. I was so impressed with the organisation , food, staff in fact the whole thing . They made my special day run completely with out a hitch ... It was a shame it had to end . Wonderful wonderful day

My Daughter had her Wedding and reception at Glenmore House.I cannot recomend this venue highly enough.After the ceremony the guests were guided to the bar area to enjoy drinks and snacks before the main Reception.The Wedding breakfast again was as expected faultless with the food and drinks served by very polite and helpfull waiting staff.This is the only function I have ever been to when the food was served piping hot so a big well done to the Chef and his staff.After the speeches the room was cleared while the guests waited in the bar and after a small wait the music and dancing commenced.I could only fault one thing that when the reception was over and guests were leaving there was one person who I think was a security guard who did not in my opinion have the right attitude when getting guests to leave the venue.Otherwise 5 stars is not good enough it should be 10

Glenmore House is the local Masonic Hall, but it includes a public restaurant. This is always very busy on Sundays, so a lot of people must love the carvery. I really don't know why. My latest meal there consisted of some dull pate with cold burnt toast; two slabs (not slices) of undercooked pork with very ordinary roast potatoes and what might have been broccoli in a hefty sauce; and a poor fruit salad because nothing else from the desert buffet looked remotely appetising. Only the starter was served, and that took quite a while to appear after we had been hurried to our table from the bar. The bar is actually the best bit, with attentive service and free nibbles. Otherwise, only the price appealed.

Glenmore House, I have to say is very impressive, its in a very up market area, has a large car park and a public garden across the road, ideal for wedding photos. Inside again is impressive, a nice friendly bar area, the staff are very professional, nothing too much trouble, then there is the banqueting hall, an amazing room, the tables were well presented and most of all the food, which was well above average for a reception, with that amount of guests. Later the room was cleared for dancing and again out come more food, this time a buffet, what a display and imagination. I highly recommend this venue.
