Rhona's Cafe & Restaurant in Kingston upon Thames

I have been coming to Rhona's for years, even during the day when I need a break from working in the office ... working on Teams all day remotely can have serious consequences - fatigue! So this is my retreat. Great big patio/sliding door to the front for those hot summer days with proper seating and long table top for my laptop and papers, and the all important space for food ! I have just come back from working oversees for 6 months and visited the cafe and was welcomed back by all the staff. I have slotted back into my routine coming here. Amazing, friendly, down to earth staff and boss , amazing food, super clean and known to all their customers. Thank you Rhona's !

Lovely cafe. The other reviews aren’t wrong. It’s Clean. Comfy bench seating. Friendly serving staff. I purposely ordered a basic solo lunch of omelette and the usual chips and beans. Served piping hot and freshly cooked. Checked out the toilets also while I was there. Well cleaned and OK to visit! Noticed several “regulars” arrived whilst I was there. They were all greeted by name by the staff. Lovely touch. This is what Service is about. Go there. You won’t be disappointed. CHECKREPORTUK.

This is our local cafe and the food is always excellent the staff always friendly and good value for money. Highly recommend.

Met a friend recently at Rhona;s for a coffee and a catch up and a bit of brekkie. The cafe is clean the service is friendly and the breakfast and coffee where good. There seemed to be a large choice on the menu but as we were there for breakfast I didn't look at the whole menu but there seemed to be a lot of choice. Parking was easy, so long as you are not going a school run time, you can normally find a space easily.

Changed hands now, not the cafe that it was , went in today asked about the menu they were rude , terrible attitude (11.54am) used to all the time will never return , It was dull and miserable with no lights DONT WASTE YOUR TIME , MONEY & ENERGY if you don’t like working in a cafe serving customers GET A NEW JOB or get some people skills

went again as a group of 5 for the first time since covid and was fantastic as always.food was freshly cooked high quality produce and tasty. service was outstanding - nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Well organised, spotlessly clean and social distancing observed. Highly recommended by all of us

We have been here many times and Rhona’s never fails to please. Generous portions, good choice, hearty food and delicious coffee. The staff are always friendly and chatty which makes you feel very comfortable. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed for a cafe meal.

Went with family for full English breakfast. Big portions, we didn't have to eat for the rest of the day. Good service. Friendly staff. Would go again.

Easter Monday breakfast for all the family. Mixed and matched the menu, no problem. Did not need to eat much for the rest of the day!

Every time we visit relations in Tolworth, we go to Rhona's for breakfast. We were there again last week on two consecutive days and it is as good as ever. We have only ever had bacon rolls and tomatoes on toast, but I have looked at the rather enormous breakfasts coming out of the kitchen and have decided that one day I will go for one. I might need to starve myself for a week though in advance, such is the size of the portion. Good food, great value and friendly service. What more do you need?

This is one of two supposedly "greasy spoon" type local cafes that I hold in high regard. Always clean and well attended, with quick and friendly service. I was there most recently with a friend for Sunday brunch, and as ever the food was fast, and well prepared. Breakfasts are great; baked spuds generally go down well, and although I can't offer an experience of their lunch/dinner options they have always looked presentable.

As this is not too far from the train station, and I use the train quite a bit for work (and there is free, all day, on road parking) it can be nice at the end of the day to have something to eat, before yet another car journey. Saw liver on the menu (I love liver, not enough places do it) so had to have it. Warm, friendly staff, showed me to a table, took my order, then got my drink. Very good sized portion, and a lot less expensive than others I have had in the area The liver was nicely cooked (not overcooked and tough) and the mash was smooth and creamy. It certainly bettered my expectations, and is one of those places you would be happy to go back to. To say it was good service, good food and all at a reasonable cost is a bit of a cliché, but that is exactly what it was.

Always a consistent meal and always able to get a table, regardless to the size of the group I’m in.

Good breakfast, good price and also parking is excellent around the area. The only downside would be the sausages as they are poor quality.

Visited the cafe with my family ,very pleasant layout ,cheerful staff, Meals basic but very tasty and wholesome Definitely recommend for a special breakfast together

This is a superb place for breakfast. The food is well cooked with very large portions and offering good value. Can get crowded which is a good sign anyway. Good staff with an open kitchen which I think always shows confidence in their cleanliness. Shame that we live 250 miles away or we would probably become regulars.

Great cafe especially for breakfast. Builders breakfast is awesome and the omelettes are great too. Decent sized portions that don't cost the earth. Recommended

Been here a few times now and cant really fault them. Great cafe food and good vaule for money. You get a nice big plate with good portions. Any milkshake lovers out there they do a pretty mean strawberry milkshake

Been coming here for literally years for great large good value English breakfasts and simple basic good food lunches. However saying that the menu is vast with many choices from baked potatoes, sandwiches, soups, lasagne, burgers so really something for everyone and great ice cream milkshakes for kids. Same staff for years and very polite and friendly. Great caff for builders, workers in the area or families, everyone is made feel welcome and comfortable and it's always super clean.

Went with my 5 year old. He had a milkshake which he said was the best ever (I tried it and it was very good!) My roast lamb was lovely. Kids meal was good value. Very friendly service. Will be back!

Always come here and they are always so friendly! Food and drinks come so quickly and service is always fast.

The food here is good however, people are packed in like sardines so little room to spead out. My husband is a large man and will not eat there.

Myself and my wife sometimes go to this restaurant as it is only a short walk from where we live, the food is very tasty and they have a good assortment of food.If you are near this restaurant then go and sample there warm welcome and tasty food.

Me and my partner enjoy coming here for breakfast. I can't comment on other food as we have only had the breakfasts but I can say I love Rhona's mushrooms and sausage! I have left a star off only because I have to tried the main meals so it would be unfair to vote on something I haven't tried. One more thing is I find some of the items on a few of the breakfasts are a little unusual such as chips or even a burger. I suppose it's good for an all day brunch though!Summed up: would go again

I just couldn't give this place average. Just because of the service. I know it's a working man place but they are so slow. And the women working there needs to go to a smiling course. Tha food is average, price is average but the service is poor. The restaurant across the street is much better.

This ultimately is a "working mans" cafe, but what it does it does brilliantly.The service is great, the place is kept spotless, the food is quick and of good quality and the prices are good.Won't find a better cafe locally.

I go here regularly with my young child. It always has a lot of people inside eating a range of good meals at a reasonable price. High chairs available, and children made welcome. Good prices and nice atmosphere. Good, typical, London style cafe.

Often use this cafe, mainly weekends but occasionally in the week, always greeted by friendly staff and made to feel welcome. Food is always good and served fast, and the milkshakes are the best I've ever come across.

A visit to Rhona's is always a tradition when my sister comes to visit from Kent and despite a very varied menu, I usually have the full English breakfast A generous serving with two slices of toast or bread and coffee for £5.40!!! (although I have had jacket potato with prawns and roast dinner; all equally tasty and reasonable).Staff are always very friendly and welcoming, service is very quick (even when busy) and it is a real asset to the Chessington community and a lovely, buzzy atmosphere. They also give lollipops to the younger children as they leave.....nice touch.

Used Rhona's many times as it's quite local to me but decided to have a panini for the first time yesterday. Wow! Only cheese and ham but it was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. Thankyou

First time here, had a sausage baguette and a coffee price £4.10 for both , very good value,served quickly, welcoming staff and helpful. Worth a visit.

We've been going in Rhona's ever since it first opened. The guys are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Food is cooked just as you want it, quickly and with no fuss.

Everyone has their own favourite place for a fry up, I have a few, but Rhona's easily meets or exceeds the standards I have experienced elsewhere. You won't be disappointed here. We have been using this café for quite a while and just recently have been twice in a week. The service is friendly and quick and nothing is too much trouble. There is a wide range of choices and the food is consistently good. There's nowhere we would rather go during the day when we just want somewhere local that serves good food at good prices.

Rhona's cafe & Restaurant is an ideal place to stop off for lunch. The food is always excellent and the service is very good, with all food cooked to order. My favorite meal is a stuffed jacket potato with salad, I usually have a prawn stuffing with rose marie sauce.It is just a little cafe but it is a gem!

This is a favourite place to meet up with my friend for breakfast. The staff are very friendly + helpful. They are more than happy to cook your order exactly how you want it.The food is excellent and extremely good value.

Went to Rhona's for lunch last Friday. Had a lovely jacket potato and was stacked with filling.My friend had liver, and although I wouldn't eat it, it did look really nice. She had a massive plate of food and it cost next to nothing.The staff / management have run this place for years and are always friendly and inviting.Definitely the best café in Chessington.

Like most cafes,when this place opened it was one of the best! But now like all the other local cafes it's a price war and the quality of the food has changed. I always rate a cafe by the quality of the sausages they serve and this one like many of the local cafes are just average. I would go as far to say that they all use the same supplier as they all taste the same! I am now going to local pubs instead for breakfast as much nicer tasting/quality food at similar prices.

Somewhat surprised to find my local cafe listed here. Nothing worthy of remark, really. Staff friendly; establishment clean. Had a few problems with cleanliness when it first opened a few years ago, but seems to be kept to a higher standard these days. Pretty much what is to be expected of an urban cafe. Mugs of coffee or tea; breakfasts; omelettes; burgers; that sort of thing. Not somewhere to visit specially, but sound enough if you happen to be in the area looking for what they provide.

Just been for cheese omelette and full breakfast at lunchtime on a Saturday. Packed cafe but always serves quick and brilliant food by lovely group of staff. Well done lads. Perfect for a late brunch to set me up for the weekend!
