Brilliant team. Lovely food and good value too. Outdoor ices and donut counter spot on too. Oudoor ices staff were preocupied cooking donughts which can result in quite a wait to be served as they cant do that and till at same time. Have patience and bear with them. Unlike the impatient youngsters today who were disruptive to a customer trying to place their order seperately and had been waiting patiently befroe they tried to jostle her to one side. You had to see it to believe it! Poor woman even took stick from another lady becasue shed had to explain to the youngsters that she couldnt hear the team member in order to place her order. Unfortunatley others misunderstood the interaction and some even thought they were her children! Poor woman and poor staff!

We called in at Glen Gardens Cafe after parking near the golf club. It was a pleasant walk through a kiddies playground and park and we came across the cafe. We sat outside as it was a lovely day. We had breakfast and it was cooked to perfection ,everything was hot on a hot plate. The portions were excellent and took some putting away. The owner Jane came and had a chat with us and she was so nice and friendly.

We were heading into Filey to a cafe we've been to before but it was getting late for lunch and we were hungry, and as I happened to notice a dog inside the park's cafe, I suggested we had a look at the menu and see if we fancied it. With the cafe inside looking roomy and it being cold outside, we headed in and found a table by the window with a lovely view of the park. There was a lovely smell of doughnuts as we went in and the array of icecream on sale looked mouth wateringly good but I did say it was cold, so we opted for soup and teas (with there being a good choice of fruit/herbal teas)! It tasted like Heinz, which is no bad thing, with little teacakes served with it (a choice of wholemeal or granary would have been nice but I never checked when I ordered). The scones looked really fruity and homemade, so we got one to share - and even without knowing that the lovely lady who served me asked me to pick the one I wanted, so I picked one that'd be easy to cut (and not too small) for sharing. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, all the staff were polite and helpful and with change from £20, it paid to give this place more than a passing glance. next time I'm hoping it'll be warmer so we can try out some of that icecream!

We often visit this cafe and have always enjoyed our food, no complaints at all. There is plenty of room inside to sit and the tables are nice and clean, also the view is very nice looking out to sea.

Had the exact same experience as many others by the look. We bought a couple of hot dogs for the kids after having a long play at the park and the kids dared to sit down with their juice from the park. I have never experienced such a rude owner shouting in front of my young kids. This lady should not be in a customer facing role she is rude and unwelcoming. Take a 5 minute walk in to Filey and enjoy a polite, pleasant experience with much better food!

We visited Filey for the first time and arranged to meet up with our daughter and family. As we were early we called in here for a coffee. I could smell the doughnuts and asked if they served them. The lovely lady serving us said she would be happy to go and fetch some for us. I was a little embarrassed as clearly the doughnut counter was outside but she insisted and a very kind member of staff went to get them and brought them to our table. Thankyou so much. What a brilliant first impression of a lovely place. We will be back.

This cafe has recently reopened with new owners. It has plenty of seating inside and outside. A varied menu, and all food cooked fresh. It serves hot and cold food., cakes, scones, ice cream etc. a gem of a find. It’s set in beautiful Glen Gardens, that has newly refurbished children’s playground, boating lake, trampolines, and mini golf.

Fantastic location in the heart of beautiful Filey. We often come here for meals, drinks and ice-creams and ALWAYS have a brilliant experience. They food is excellent, especially the desserts and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend.

This cafe will succeed despite the rather pedestrian food. Nothing special or outstanding about the breakfast. Cheap sausage, tinned tomatoes and margarine on slices of bread, not toast. Machine made coffee. Adequate but not as cheap as it could be for the quality. Also not allowed to use the toilet unless you buy something. The staff looked miserable and no one greeted us on entering. They also had a young child serving at some tables. It's worth walking a bit further into town for better food and a more friendly service.

I don’tknow if this place is any good. After 15 minutes waiting at the bar, only 1 person got served - by the 2 staff. The 1 ‘serving’ then left 6 of us waiting and went outside to wipe down tables. Rude, surly, we up and left.

We had the unfortunate "luck" of spending a night at this place. Got a "suite" under the creaky flooring of the pub with noise-channelling ventilation ducts overhead, a substandard kitchen with no cupboards and wobbly table, a toilet with no ventilation, exposed pipes and disjointed faucet and a door with no handle in sight... All this came with a delayed check-in and service that leaves much to hope for. While the rooms above the pub may make for a better night's sleep, there is little hope that could improve this establishment's culture of hospitality.

We had a nice English breakfast for the start of our walk. Not the best ever perhaps, but enjoyable and open at 7:30. Prices are reasonable, but cash only

I came here during each visit from Canada and we were just getting ready to return again. I am just shocked to find out that they have closed permanently and I can only live with my memories. I wanted to bring my wife there for what I hoped would be another incredible weekend. I can only hope the very best for the family and say thanks for all of the memories and the fantastic bar towels that I still have after 20 years Thank you. Muchas gracias. Hvala, arrigoto, Merci,

What’s really interesting about this cafe is that it’s part of the now closed second funicular tram at the top. Loved the Yorkshire owner of the cafe ☕️. Great bacon rolls before we checked into The Grand next door 🚪 (which we liked ❤️ too)
