Lovely garden area which allowed dogs. Despite a little delay the food was excellent. Ploughman's for my husband and a cream tea for me. Super staff and delicious food

Used to come here regularly, was slightly on the expensive side but the produce was excellent and inline with the shop and was generally really yummy, however my last visit I was very disappointed. Cheap very cheap ‘breakfast sassuage’ sausages and bacon basically the same breakfast as porkys in Westfield which is half the price and is in an industrial estate. The food that is served here, I believe should be fresh and quality produce and it really isn’t. Such a shame but I wouldn’t return for a breakfast. Quality over quantity… please

The re-opened, revamped Georges Cafe is a delight... its bright and fresh and clean and has lovely staff who know how to create a great atmosphere... Food is excellent !! The two giant log burners are ready to help customer feel toasty in the winter, the childrens play area is just right and the food is excellent... all cooked fresh, and with fair prices... The quality of the breakfast is exemplary and the omelette with huge side-salad defeated my appetite... well worth going to eat here then go food-pet-plant shopping to the shop: - their wide range of fresh veggies, (none are encased in plastic) are great quality and prices are similar to the budget supermarkets for many items.... They can deliver too...

Fourth time here but it wasn't the same, lunch menu on wall which wasn't good for are disabled friend who couldn't get up to see it . Maybe the menu was for winter but it just wasn't what I expected very disappointing vist this time and service for drinks very slow. What ever has changed go back to how it was.

Me and the family had a lovely lunch here today. Great food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. The toy box was great to keep the children occupied. We will definitely be back again.

What an absolute find. The family were travelling to go camping, we left early so were in search of a good place for breakfast. George's Garden came up on the map and we were not disappointed, the food is fresh, excellent quality, service was quick with a smile, price was very reasonable. They have indoor and outdoor seating, lots of cakes and plenty of food choice. There's also a shop with plants, trees, shrubs, indoor plants and typical farm shop produce. Very impressed and while we'll unlikely visit again soon as we're not local we must share the love for this place!

Another outstanding meal. Exceptional food, attentive and friendly service, beautifully and tastefully refurbished pub retaining all of its authentic appeal, and brilliant value for money. Absolutely nothing to fault. It's utterly insane that a place can be this successful and busy and also financially unviable. So sad to hear that the tenants are having to leave when they've done everything perfectly. Impossible to imagine the brewery finding a tenant who can do anything better, so it just feels like they want the pub to fail.

Good afternoon , just want to give some feedback to our disappointing visit to Passeys today . We booked for breakfast and everyone in our group agreed that half the breakfast was cold or warm at the best . One breakfast had a hair in it also . This is not good at all for the premium price charged . We have been several times before as a group of six or less with no problems. I wanted to discuss with the lady serving but one of our group did not want to cause a scene so we just paid and left . This used to be our go to place on Sunday morning . It’s the most expensive breakfast in Portobello, and the quality of food does not now justify the price . We won’t be back .

We love L❤️VE this eatery. Awesome tasty and wholesome food, great coffees, brilliant and exceptional clean amenities. All served to you by a caring and friendly team. Honestly we go nowhere else. Breakfast, sandwiches, lunch AND ICE-CREAM direct from their counter chiller. Great place... 😉🤗
