Garlinge Village Fish & Chips in Thanet

Absolutely amazing, the fish so delicious - perfectly cooked, they even gave me a small portion of chips on the house! And I loved their Greek salad. A must for anyone in the area. Definitely value for money and great tasting food.

Always fantastic and warm service. Basically always get chips cooked fresh when we visit. Good value and decent portions.

Fantastic crispy battered fish the cod and plaice are excellent. The chips lots of them and are the traditional lovely jubbly chunky chip. A family treat that we all enjoy.

Great fun to be had with the banter in the shop. Best chippy around. Clean, delicious chips and tasty fish.

Usually go to peters but my Dad lives near here so opted to try. The fish was huge however the batter was soo thick no one could eat it! It wasn’t great

Great fish and chips live just up the road from here recommended. Do all pies sausages etc, large portion of chips.

Only 5 mins from Birchington Vale Holiday Park. Food was freshly cooked to order and was excellent, well worth the trip instead of cooking or eating in the bar area on site. Staff were great too, a nice little back street find.

I live in Surrey and whenever we visit family in Margate we always have Fish and Chips on a Saturday evening. Tried a few chippies in Margate but once we found Garlinge Fish and Chips we would never go anywhere else. Everything is cooked fresh even though I usually go in with a large order, the Cod and the Scampi are amazing. The shop is very clean and the guys who serve are always friendly, polite and efficient. I would not consider using anywhere else. I can't wait for our next visit to Margate as its the only time we have fish and chips and what a treat it is.

Small shop worth the trip for fresh fish and chips + offerd free chips to keep us going whilst the fish cooked - good chat and banter - kids menue drinks ect .

when i feel like something and being lazy i come here as its just round the corner and i have the chicken and chips.I have never been disappointed by this meal the chicken is a good size and not the rubbish part of a chicken..good chunky bits of breast.The chips i have are good.

Love this place. Always met with a smile and my daughter gets a lolly on every visit. The staff are lovely it’s always clean the food it lovely. I phone with my order and walk down and it’s always ready on time. The portion size is good and the price to. Never had a bad meal love there curry sauce. I use them all the time and the shop in westgate if am over that way.

Thanets best chip shop, the guys that run it/ work there are always friendly and polite and give you some chips whilst you’re waiting. Great portion sizes and always fresh.

Used them loads always really good fish and chips etc, tried most things on the menu. Children’s menu is really good and not bad prices. Staff are friendly it does get busy but that just shows how good they are. My daughter loves going as they give her a lolly.

We always pre order our food as it is a very popular place and it saves a lot of time queuing . The pricing is good and the food is always cooked fresh to order. Highly recommend this shop as for children they do offer other items than fish.

Really feel bad for writing this review because the food is great from here but tonight I was served poor quality fish and chips..the chips were anemic and the fish was slimey to the taste, I didn't even have time to take it back as they close at 21.30. Maybe the staff weren't on top form tonight but it doesn't excuse poor quality food .

Han sido muchas veces para pescado y patatas fritas o savaloy y patatas fritas, cada vez la comida es estupenda y no se puede superar. El personal es amable y a un precio razonable.

Utilizaba un par de veces el servicio siempre con una sonrisa si te esperas entonces te dan un par de patatas fritas para comer. Me dieron mi hija un Lolly demasiado que ella era muy feliz! La comida era buena y el buen precio perfecto de salsa curry también yo volvería y recomendaría.

The staff are only too pleased to help you order, the portion sizes on the fish are very good and normally one cod and chips is enough for both of us. They do a lot of child portions and cater for most needs offering a varied menu. You can order by phone which is also a bonus saves queuing up .

My local takeaway is fantastic excellent value and food great,the owners /staff are friendly with big hearts.a small business they deserves to do well.thankyou lads and well done.

this chippy is just great the menu is vast and very reasonably priced and everything is cooked to order as fresh as it comes. burgers pies you name it they hace it all served piping,hot get your fish here its well battered.
