Coffee nice -but whole place needs a good clean - and it was not busy - bench seats full of food crumbs - table dirty - not a very nice environment

Nipped in here as it was raining. Looks cheap on the outside and inside, but coffee and croissant was really nice and my partner thoroughly enjoyed her smashed avocado on toast. The staff were also friendly and polite. Would have given it five stars if the place itself was a bit nicer.

Just popped in here for a quick takeaway coffee - they have a great selection of coffee and the barista (Sophie) was so friendly! If you’re into coffee, it’s definitely a place to visit as it was delicious and really well made.

On day trip from London, passed on route from train station. What a lovely little stop gap. Excellent filter coffee, my son loved the iced tea and the cakes were delicious (vegan flapjack). Staff super welcoming.

Decent coffee but a little pricey. Very pared back furnishings but functional with its own charm. Their toilet is minute, but works

Coffee was below average and the maple cake was so dry it felt like I just walked through the Sahara. Not award winning or worth the money spent!

Nice clean comfortable establishment. Friendly staff. Although it advertised the coffee blend to be Taste of Kent winner, must not to have been to our taste. Mocha was fine, but American bit tasteless and came only just above warm

The coffee was on the bitter side and my partner said that the toilets were not clean. This is a very basic coffee shop.

Coffee is really great, straight forward service, and they bring the coffee to you. Wifi works, everything just works. No fuss, great space. Love it.

We stopped for coffee here on a rainy Friday -best coffee I've had in ages! A lovely crema, and a really good froth on my almond milk latte, and my husband was just as impressed with his skinny cappuccino! We shared a brownie which was also perfect- a thin crunchy outer layer and nice a fudgey inside! The only negative point is the unimpressive wall art and chipped paint- otherwise the decor was skandi-cool! I also had to google to read the background- I had no idea that the coffee was roasted in their own Canterbury based "roastery"- they could advertise that more!

Visited here for the first time and it was fantastic! Honestly the best latte I've ever tasted and my coffee loving husband was well impressed. Excellent service coupled with being dog friendly make this a place well worth a visit. We're only here for a week but we will make the most of it whilst we're here! Excellent coffee shop!

A quick cup of coffee on a Saturday morning. Probably the best coffee in town (we haven't visited them all yet). Espressos that good are very rare indeed. Good to see business was brisk - they deserve it.

I have visited this coffee shop a few times since it opened a couple of months ago. Hidden away in Oxford St, you could easily walk past without noticing this understated coffee shop but inside is a refreshingly independent watering hole.Friendly staff who do not ask you 10 questions (!), great coffee, tasty cake and a small but very well devised lunch menu. The perfect place to go for a bit of tranquility on a busy day in Whitstable.

Popped in here as it said ‘great coffee’, and it really was good. Cakes were great and unusual, we had peanut butter and chocolate brownie. Lush, and one bit was ample for two.Reasonably priced. Ok for a quick stop, just not overly comfy seating. But coffee outweighs the lack of soft squishy chairs.

Recently opened - taken over from a previous coffee shop that I used to frequent on the same site (there are a lot of coffee shops in Whitstable). I tend to use the place opposite, but if the other place is closed or too busy I come here. Coffee almost as good as opposite (in my taste), but 10p cheaper. Not quite as good a vibe as Blueprint, still a very serviceable.

Beautiful setting, superb kitchen — but a disappointing billing issue left a bitter aftertaste. We recently visited The Pig for a late afternoon lunch, and at first, the experience was absolutely wonderful. The location is idyllic, the atmosphere calm and inviting, and the service at the bar was warm and professional. Cocktails were outstanding, and we were genuinely impressed by the kindness and attention of the staff. The food was the real highlight — beautifully presented, packed with flavour, and clearly crafted with care. Special praise to the kitchen team: the pork collar and the fish stew were exceptional, and the dessert was the perfect way to finish. Compliments also to the lovely lady at the bar who made us feel right at home. Unfortunately, the overall impression was marred by a significant pricing issue on the bill. We were charged £45 each for the three-course set menu, even though the listed price was £32.50. That’s nearly 40% more, not including the service charge (which we were happy to pay). A quick phone call to the restaurant resolved the overcharge — the refund was processed efficiently, for which we are thankful. However, the fact that the staff member on the phone seemed to immediately know what we were calling about made us wonder: was this an isolated mistake, or a recurring problem? We’re trying to focus on the positives — the amazing food and welcoming atmosphere — but the unpleasant aftertaste of the billing issue is hard to forget. We hope it was just a one-off. Still, big thanks to the kitchen team and to the lady in the bar for their fantastic work. With a little more attention to detail at checkout, the overall experience would have been perfect

We went for our son's 21st birthday and were not disappointed. They had a nice card waiting for him. Food was gorgeous and the sharing mains were huge. The beef short ribs could not be finished between my 21 year old son and husband. That is saying something. The Jerusalem artichoke Rosliston, potatoes puree and leek and potatoes plithiver and beef steak and short ribs delicious. Cod roe with pickled beetroot another winner. Also loved that you get tap water without asking (ask for still) instead of expensive poncy bottles. And wine was carefully served so it helped last throughout the meal. Ladies restrooms were lovely and clean and staff attentive but not hovering. Only drawback was the table of 12-ish people were loud, especially as the wine flowed and full tummies. But they were definitely enjoying the food and drink!
