Very nicely decorated tearoom where we had a fantastic cake and traditional scones. An area for improvement would be the service for drinks, they could ask for that more often, although we (Dutch) had that more often in England.

My friend and I visited Tiny Tim's Tearoom after cycling from Rainham to Canterbury and and before catching our train home. We were limited in time before having to catch our train, but in our time there we were very impressed with the service, the food and the atmosphere of the tea room. The tea in the tea pot was real (tea leaves)! You get a large tea pot, tea strainer and little handleless metal cup to rest the tea strainer on after pouring your tea ( or between cups ) The large fruit scone was lovely and crusty on the outside, fresh inside and with plenty of fruit. The butter and jam were generous amounts. Nothing comes to mind which was just OK about my visit. I recommend Tiny Tim's and I'll be back one day !

Top 3 Canterbury spots🫖💗 Wonderful savoury dishes, good prices, beautiful setting/atmosphere and fantastic service! A great place for history/ghost buffs too as this pretty tearoom has a fascinating and morbid backstory. Cakes are a bit dry and always are, that said - everything else makes up for them. Some of the best scones you’ll ever have!! Eggs are a must as well. Recommend✨

I decided to visit this cafe as it seems to be famous for being haunted. The food I ordered seemed to be local cuisine, but the bread was fluffy, the meat inside was delicious (like KFC), and the chips and salad were also very delicious! Lunch was around 15 pounds per person. As a side note, there is a haunted room and a bathroom on the third floor, but I was surprised at how steep the slope was.

Teas were really nice, certainly different and there was plenty for two cups. Scones were of a good standard although one totally fell into pieces. Really cute interior. Only ate there for cakes. The cakes were frankly abysmal. We should have heeded warning from the woman sat next to us who had not touched hers… Carrot cake in particular was an absolute miss - couple of bites and couldn’t eat anymore of it. Stodgy and cheesy, little flavour. They really would benefit from a new baker / new baking cookbook. Also would not recommend cafe 35 next door.

it’s a typically English place in the center of Canterbury. There is a wide choice of teas, each more promising than the last. As for the Full English Breakfast, it lived up to our expectations. The only regret is paying a bill in which a 10% tip is included by default! And, as tourists, you don't realize it until it's too late!

We discovered this charming tearoom last summer on a trip to Canterbury and were completely enchanted. So, on a recent Easter visit, returning to Tiny Tim's Tearoom was a must! They offer a fantastic breakfast spread, with portions that are both generous and varied. From full English breakfasts to simple toast and jam, there's something for every taste. But be warned, the scones are legendary! They're incredibly large, buttery, and absolutely delicious – definitely not to be missed. For a touch of intrigue, explore the entire tearoom. There's a secret room on the top floor, rumored to hold ghostly secrets! Whether you're seeking a hearty breakfast or a delightful afternoon tea, Tiny Tim's Tearoom is a Canterbury gem.

I love this place, it's the epitome of a little English tearoom. The staff are always great, the atmosphere is wonderful, with piano music (sometimes live!) and a charming, cosy feel. The food is wonderful, with a great range of choice to suit all tastes and budgets. The crown jewel though is, of course, their cream tea. The scones are enormous and also incredibly tasty, always fresh enough to break apart, the perfect texture of crispness on the outside and a little dense in the middle but not too heavy, just as a scone should. The amount of jam, butter and clotted cream to go along with them is also very generous. The tea menu is extensive, many of the teas on offer are local, as is much of the ingredients in their food and it shows. I can't recommend this place enough. It's my first go to whenever I have anyone visiting me from outside Canterbury and everyone always comments on what a charming lunch destination it is.

Should you be gluten free, avoid the scones! Today, a group of us had afternoon tea; being gluten free, I was expecting the scone to have been freshly baked. When the tray arrived, the scone was very hot, and by the time I was ready to eat it, it was very hard; you could not cut it! Was the scone warmed for too long in the microwave?
