Used to be a great family restaurant but now the menu has been severely reduced and quality of food is not so good.

Spent over £30 to have our dinner come out on a small cardboard dish and wooden cutlery. Portion size was rubbish and to cut the over cooked fish on top of chips was hard enough let alone with rubbish cutlery. Apparently all to do with covid rules. Which there are none now. Won't be going back luckily my child with ASD didn't meltdown as that was his favourite place to ear.

My partner and I visited this "establishment" and we both ordered cod and chips. We sat down. It arrived to our table in a plastic bag, with the sauces flung in there too. There was one fork each. No knives. So I guess it is assumed everyone who eats there, does so with their hands, in this joint. I never saw this method of table service before, it was an education! Like experiencing a new culture! Onto the food. I am pretty much 100% sure that the fish inside the battered coating was not cod, but a cheap alternative such as pollock, as I noticed it had zero taste. I am sure that if we ordered the haddock and chips it would taste the exact same, because that is also probably pollock and chips too, dressed in a haddock and chips disguise. I also think that they batch cook the battered fish, and then microwave it to warm it up, because, on the inside of it, my "cod" was hotter than the sun! Several hours after eating my tongue is still burnt!

Food delivered to the table in cardboard boxes in a plastic carrier bag. Very limited choice for food and drinks but quite expensive. Received one for each diner but one knife between us, no napkins. Won’t be going back!

We had been walking along the beach promenade and back and called into the Gallery Restaurant & Tea Rooms for a couple of coffees we sat outside and enjoyed our coffee in the sun as the weather was very good as were the coffees. Price reasonable. Near to the toilet facilities and next to the Harbour Park Amusements which was shut on the day we visited. The Restaurant inside has a Navel theme to it navy memorabilia on the walls and ceiling. Only had drinks so can’t comment on food but did look good what other people had. Friendly and helpful staff.

We stopped here for a coffee and a cake after a walk along the seafront - appeared to have a good variety of baked options and were somewhat pleased to be offered soy milk capsules for hot drinks. However, when asking if there were any vegan options, we were offered a 'Rocky Road Slice' of which clearly had marshmallows on top and was not labelled vegan friendly (or of any allergens). Sceptical, but feeling that the server didn't have time for many questions, we chose to try this and a slice of carrot cake. Carrot cake was dry and 'Rocky Road' very doubtfully vegan - left disappointed and be careful if you have allergies!!

We decided to visit littlehampton for a family day out ! By the afternoon we were starving nd decided to go in to the galley fish n chip resturant , We ordered 2 cod n chip meals and a burger n chips for the little one . Whilst we were waiting i was talking to mt wife about other fish n chip shops local to us and was wondering how this would compare ! When the food arrived i was shocked to see such a large peice of cod with chips and a side salad .. To be honest i was impressed with the food and the taste of it ! Id highly recommend visiting this place when in littlehampton.

We popped in on a hot, sunny bank holiday Monday for a sandwich. I was really impressed. The service was impeccable. We found a table outside in the shade. The baguette was very fresh and the egg mayonnaise was lovely and homemade. Even the cups of tap water were nice and cold and I was offered ice. We had a very simple light lunch but The Galley still managed to excel in every aspect.

A busy lunchtime, but service was well sorted. Had to wait a bit for a table, but I think we just hit a very busy 5 minutes. I ordered ham, egg and chips. When food arrived (fairly quickly) I thought that I was going to be disapointed. It didn't look much. But I added some salad from other family members plates and it looked much better. The eggs were slightly over done, just personal taste, otherwise nicely cooked and not a greasey mess. The chips and ham, whilst looking basic at first were actually very nice. The salad pinched from the other dishes was very nice and fresh. For the price, it was very reasonable and I was far from disapointed in the end. Would be nice if salad was added as standard to ham, egg and chips.

Visited yesterday for tea, coffee, water, lemon flapjack. £1.60 per small cold pembrokeshire bottled water! Enjoyed flapjack and hot drinks. Not enjoy two chaps trying to fix a main entrance door handle, one swearing from frustration - the two were still there after 25 mins. A vast array of nautical decor inside , good service at till. Even a model of HMS Victory .

The menu states all day breakfast served until MIDDAY. I asked for eggs on toast at 1pm but was told it was too late. They then offered me a toasted egg sandwich.

We visited Littlehampton today and wanted to enjoy fish and chips on the sea front. I wanted to order 2 fish and chips and a plain baguette for my daughter who has special dietary needs. Despite them serving various baguette options on the menu, a plain baguette is not possible as “there isn’t a button for it” on the computer. Bread and butter, there’s a button for that but we can’t give you a plain baguette. Give me strength! I had neither the time nor energy to get into this debate with the staff who were quite frankly rude and unhelpful.

We had stayed locally the night before so While out walking our dog before our Drive home we stopped here for a late lunch. Wasn’t very busy and the staff inside didn’t seem to know what they were doing. The tea according to my wife was discussing, my coffee was just ok we had to go back in for milk as we were not given any. The scrambled eggs and bacon sandwich my kids had looked ok and they enjoyed them, but the breakfast muffins my wife and I had were terrible. The only good bit was the bacon, the egg was over cooked and rubbery and the muffin was very doughy and would have been better toasted. At no point were we asked if we wanted any sauces. I took one plate in as there was left over food on it as we left as didn’t want the seagulls descending on the table and disturbing others and said it wasn’t that good but only got a blank look from staff. Won’t be returning again any time soon.

Don't expect much, food is probably from a tin can a'la ding, smallest coffee in Littlehampton, prices no longer reflect what you get and, important for some, WiFi does not work and has not for ages - a sign of the times I am afraid. There are a couple of reasonable dishes on the menu, but unless you don't want to venture far from the beach, there are far better places to eat in Littlehampton.

Came for breakfast as seemed like a quiet location with sea view until the young people working there decided to play music so loudly I thought I was in a night club . It appeared this space was for them and not for their customers .

Have been in here many times and always have enjoyed with my family. Yes its busy and a little chaotic during school holidays, yes it is not your chippy down the road with all the chips stuck together, but it is a nice alternative to being perched on a wall or floor trying to eat a takeaway. If you are a 'foody' type you may be a little underwhelmed and view everything through a critical lens, but all the times we have

My wife and I ordered 2 x "Freshly battered cod fillets & chips". The food was delivered very promptly. The battered cod tasted like "Iceland Value" & there were lots and lots fish bones in the both mine & my wife's cod fillet. If there are bones in the fillet - then it isn't a fillet. Brought this to the attention of the waitress, but she "shrugged" as if she didn't really care and merely pointed us to the "small print" on the menu which says "The fish dishes may contain bones.". So, indeed it does say on the menu that re: bones. But the small print is exactly that ! You will need a magnifying glass to read it.

Due to the weather being bad my husband, toddler and I decided to take shelter and have some lunch in this "restaurant". We got served promptly as there wasn't many people in the restaurant and both of us ordered cod and chips at a cost of £8.25 each, our toddler being a fussy eater had disown packed lunch.

Mr Crow is watching his waistline so wanted something a bit lighter to eat. After deciding nothing took his fancy, he eventually went for the toasted tea cake. Very nice it was too. But no coffee as its a rather small and over priced offering and Mr Crow likes value for money - it almost blew his feathers off when he saw the price of childrens spag boll - which looks like its served straight from a can.Shame little variety for those wanting something a little lighter.

The floor was wet upon entering and the queue was long, but went down eventually. The servers were very polite, the food didn't take that long, but the cutlery was very dirty. So were the plates. We had fish and chips but there were few chips and the chips were burnt and the fish was sadly slightly raw. I was left conflicted. Lovely service but bad and pricey food. Shame really :(

Mr Crow has eaten here many times but normally just a baguette which are normally excellent. This time, he decided to try half chicken and chips and compare with similar from Nelson a few days earlier.Whilst one of the more costly items on menu, it was still reasonably priced. But chicken was all rather a dry affair. I think Nelson offering had the edge, but only just.Next time, it will be back to baguettes.

We popped into this restaurant for a bit of lunch today, Its right in the middle of all the Harbour park development. Just a breif review...so here goesDirty Cutlery that we had to clean,No means of anyone with a wheelchair actually having a card terminal brought out to them to pay, No one bringing cutlery out to you, the waiter staff behind the counter " threw/ dropped " the bottles of drink on a tray. and for a resuarant on the seafront serving predominantly fish, NO Tartar Sauce available. The fish was OK and enough of it. 2@scampi& chips, i@cod & chips with 3 soft drinks £29....so not exactly "cafe " prices My recommendation , if its fish you want , then for take away, it has to be freds of littlehampton and if its a restaurant then always the fish factory . both of which i have used previously and can reccomend.

I went here today with my son on a day trip to the seaside. We decided to pop into the Gallery Tea Rooms for some lunch. As we walked in we noticed that it as quite noisy; very busy and lots of baby's and pushchairs, but the noise is not the restaurant's fault it's the young children. As we went up to order we possibly spent maybe 15 minutes in the queue as service was very slow. We did not have to wait long for the food though. My son had the children's portion of spaghetti bolognaise and thoroughly enjoyed it. Then was the big shock, a Christmas song started to play. Very shocked that there was a Christmas song playing in late of MARCH!!!!

Great location next to the beach. They make a great cup of tea. The fish and chips were ok.I was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness. The windows were very dirty. Considering they are the best asset facing the sea. Also I noticed a waitress tidying chairs back under the tables but not clearing old food from the floor and there was a lot of it. In addition to this there were no loo rolls in the toilets. A shame it could be the best place in Littlehampton with a bit of effort.

This little café is a self serve and order restaurant and then the food is brought out to you. We have eaten lunch here on several occasions' and always been happy with the food. The food is good, tasty and does the job. It's not extra special but we like it and we keep going back. The baguettes are particularly nice and my son loves the children's Spaghetti Bolognese even though I suspect it's from a Heinz tin.My husband always says the coffee portion is not big enough but it's reasonably priced, not cheap, but ok.
