Frankly appalling. Staff were indifferent and poorly trained. Previous customers' cups and plates were left on table and only cleared away when requested by me. The floor was being vacuumed with a trailing cable across cusomer areas. And to top it all, I was charged £9 for a coffee (no saucer) and a cake which lacked any significant flavour. I will definately not be going there again. - Be warned!

Wow talk about inflated prices! I know it's Cobham but taking the mick a bit... Had to pay an extra price (approx £1) on each item to 'eat in'. Which I get but with already high prices this got expensive. I mention this because the furniture isn't chic or rustic or contemporary, it's just bland and boring, seen the same in a greasy cafe. And to make the experience not that great the tables were dirty! So not sure what the extra price to eat in was actually for! However, the food was OK quite tasty but probably not worth the price we paid.

Should have reviewed prior to visiting, service was indifferent disinterested and didnt listen. Even though not busy many tables had dishes left on, when eventually cleared tables were cleaned by using hand to brush crumbs onto floor. Food and coffee were ok but NOT worth the price Better service at costa!

Nil customer service. Once again had to ask for the table to be cleared and then go up and ask for it to be wiped down. Seems to be the norm here. When I asked first the table to be wiped the girl rolled her eyes I then said …… if it’s to much trouble would you like me to do it. No communication. Can someone please teach the staff there about customer service as there is none. Won’t be back. Over it all

Used to frequent this business a couple of times a week. Today’s experience will probably mean I won’t be visiting ever again! Ordered a Parmesan chicken and a cappuccino. Girl serving me seemed in a world of her own. Didn’t ask my name for the coffee (they normally call your name when this is ready). Asked for some cutlery. Was given a filthy knife and had to ask another girl for a replacement. Sat at table eating food. Half finished, had to go and ask about my cappuccino. Hadn’t even started it. Waited while this was prepared. Went back to table. Girl who had initially served me came and sat on the table next to me with what I guess was her lunch. Got her mobile phone out and proceeded to have a conversation with somebody with her phone on speaker facility. How do unprofessional people like this get work in these establishments?

So glad that Gail’s has come to Cobham. Popped in for a tea and treat for my 6yr old. Tasty treats and very professional and friendly service from Rachel and the team. Excellent service.

What a ridiculously arrogant and complacent little chain this has become. Scones on display… cream in the fridge but no afternoon tea for us as ‘we have no jam’. But but but there was jam for sale standing right in front of us on the counter. I asked the poor embarrassed girl to check again with the manager if this could possibly be true … she came back and said no. We can’t use the jam for jam! Presumably what they actually meant was ‘no we can’t use the expensive rip-off jam and we have run out of the cheap wholesale stuff’. Well Gails… remember the old adage ‘it cost less to keep a customer than to find a new one’. You are going to have to dig into the profits from your jam to find someone to replace me. Bad inefficient managers saying ‘no’ to customers when it is them that are entirely at fault for supply issues - is the type of behaviour that marks out an exciting thrusting new business venture from just another tired greedy old chain. There are lots of lovely independent coffee shops around here… go to any of them!

I'm longing to buy more of the lovely baked goods from this store yet each time I go on a decently warm, sunny day, I'm confronted by an awful view of flies landing on anything they happen to fancy. Despite mails to the Group and complaints to store staff, nothing is being done. The blue light wall unit is obviously useless. Avoid like the plague!

The young lady behind the counter seemed very unhappy in her job and barely said a word to me, not hello, no thank you. The only words she used were”yep, 12 pounds” puts me off visiting again.

Food and coffee is ok, but nothing exceptional. The staff are pleasant enough, but maybe too young to have any idea of how to be professional, and seemingly nobody teaching them any better. Perfectly good for a quick coffee, but nothing exceptional, and prices on the high side.

Gails Bakery is located in the centre of Cobham. You can order on line or go in for a takeaway. Excellent bread and pastries. We enjoyed what is known as Sicily famous Street food namely Panelle and a Pistachio and raspberry bun both of which were delicious albeit a tad pricey. Good service and very clean

The Foley has had a makeover and the interior is beautiful and cosy (we haven't sat outside yet because of the weather). Great atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon, esp with the fires on. We had a roast and couldn't fault it. Lovely portions, hot food and attentive service. The manager (a French lady I think) is always super accommodating and friendly. Thanks!

The staff and atmosphere were brilliant, I ordered a mixed grill and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Matt and Ben were lovely and ill definitely come again! *Update* Well tonight was hard for me (the 19th) as tomorrow is the (20th). The 20th is 18 months since I lost my wife. Dave, Mat, Ben and Tracy (all staff) thank you for being normal, it means everything. To Tom? Dude you are friends with friends of my daughter, thank you for being yourself, it means more than you know. Finally to the two people dancing ( I bought you a drink if that helps jog your memory), thank you so much, as your normal smashed my normal and helped me more than you will ever know. To bring all of this into context, I lost my wife 18 months ago, your normality, sense of fun, and kindness helped me more than you will ever know. Love to you all ❤️

Disappointed. We were served by two very attentive excellent waitresses. However the fish pie was almost inedible. Watery thin cream sauce with undercooked fish and crumb topping with hardly any potato. Accompanying kale was lukewarm. Second time eaten here and food not the best. Will not go a third time.

Went here based on a recommendation in a paper. Sadly it did not live up to expectations. Welcome was functional not especially friendly. Where we were sat was crafty and I kept my jacket on for most of the meal. Sunday roast was average. Slightly dry and lacking seasoning chicken and soggy roast potatoes. The Yorkshire puddings however were excellent.
