This place is a lazy excuse and I won't be coming back. Hot chocolate is week and warm. Music too loud and general lack of pleasantness in the staff.

It’s not the cheapest coffee shop or bakery in Windsor - but the coffee and cake is nice and of a good quality. I’ve got to agree with the below review - and say the tables are filthy. We were sat there 30 minutes and the two tables next to us remained filthy. This was a weekday afternoon as well - so not even busy. There were plenty of staff - they just didn’t appear bothered.

As always the coffee and cake are excellent in this branch. However the tables are hardly ever clean, floor always need a sweep and don’t ask about the toilets. Friendly staff but you need to do something about the cleaning.

I popped into the Windsor branch on Tuesday morning to buy a seeded sourdough loaf of bread, which we've enjoyed very much in the past. There was a misunderstanding with paying for the item. However, an understanding and kind server who took my order, was very generous to me. His random act of kindness was very much appreciated and will be passed forward. Many thanks for your understanding. Kind regards and keep up the good work.

Great Christmas buns, friendly service. Delicious coffee. It is family-friendly, with nice decor and long wooden tables. Loved the coat hooks.

I had a delicious avocado on toast with my usual black americano . My usual Saturday morning brunch; however I must just compliment Rayyan for his top customer service and a remarkable cup of coffee. Who can complain when not only is the food first class but on this occasion Rayyan also.Thank you Gails

Outstanding food. Impeccable service. Irreproachable cleanliness. Saturday morning in Windsor may be a busy affair, but Jack and his service was unfazed by the busy prospect. What a friendly, fun, engaging individual, with high quality suggestions. The hot chocolate was rich but sweet. The subtle undertone of nuts was amazing. Jack suggested the almond and chocolate croissant and was - as Jack put it - 10/10. This pastries are not to be underestimated, flaky, sweet and fresh. Jack truly made the service a 15/10. Would not have as much enjoyed without the recommendations and friendliness I was presented with at Gail’s.

My time at Gail’s bakery in Windsor cannot be faulted! Customer service was outstanding and all thanks to Jack. I was unsure what to order as all the food looks beyond edible and Jack was friendly, professional and full of knowledge. He guided me through the pastries and recommended me the almond chocolate croissant, it has to be the best croissant outside of France I have ever had. I 100% recommend coming and tasting there delicious coffee and indescribable parties. I will be returning to sample Gail’s savour selection very soon. If you are new or visiting Windsor this is the place to brunch and breakfast in!!

This morning I visited the local cafe and bakery, Gail’s. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by a long queue, thinking this place must be quite popular. And as I learnt later, it was for good reason. Although they were busy, the staff gave me butter, jam and clotted cream with my fruit scone. I ordered a flat white while my wife ordered a breakfast tea. The tea pot was a very nice touch and it made it feel special. I asked for my flat white to be served in a takeaway cup so I could keep it warmer, which it’s design was beautiful and the texture very nice and velvety. I asked the friendly barista, Ryan, how he managed to do that, he chuckled and said, “a little bit of magic”. We also shared a chocolate and tahini bite and a honey cake which complimented our hot beverages very well. What a treat! Overall, I would highly recommend Gail’s Bakery Windsor. We have tried the majority and Gail’s is my far one of the best. Thank you Gail’s!

A poor unenjoyable experience Waited at least 40 minutes for 4 lunch items. Went to counter twice to ask. Hot drinks all finished by the time 2 meals arrived which were ok, then another 5 minutes before the other. No apology or explanation. Toilet closed. Told loo open on 2nd floor. Too much for elderly member of our party to climb 2 floors so went to M&S loo.

Went there for lunch after visiting the Castle, and it was nothing special. The soup was just ok and the bread was a bit stale. Coffee was good, but not great. Will not return.

Walked past here with my son as we wanted a little treat. Really friendly staff was patient as she talked us through the array of goodies on offer. We opted for a chocolate chunk cookie, cinnamon crumb cake and a sea salt, banana and pec cake. When we got them home to share with the rest of the family, we were not disappointed. The cakes were baked perfectly and were delicious. The cookies were extra large too, so a great bonus. Saw the breakfast menu and it looked amazing. We will be back to sit in.

Visited Gales in Windsor for the first time recently, absolutely lovely, the cakes were absolutely delicious and the iced green tea was a surprising delight (i had never tried one before) The staff were very pleasant and friendly, one particular young man, Jack (i think), went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and check everything was ok with our order. Thank you Jack. I would love to visit again on our next trip to Windsor.

I have been in two other Gail's one was in Brentwood and the other in Billericay. Both were great. Just the sort pf place you would want to be for a cosy chat and coffee. Not so the Windsor branch. When we were there were things you put on the floor to tell you the floor is wet. The floor wasn't wet the staff had just left them on the floor pushed up near a seat along with a large plastic tray. These things need to be put away when finished with. There was also a large see through plastic bag laying around filled with rubbish. Eventually someone did get rid of it but it should have been dealt with straight away. People don't want to have tea and cake amongst cleaning items. Had to ask for another coffee as my husbands was just slightly warm. Shame when two of their other branches are great. Awful decor which doesn't help.

My husband and I went for a coffee mid afternoon on a Saturday. It was not busy but it was hard to find a cleared table. However, the real disappointment is with the coffee. I ordered my usual black American. I had to reject the 1st cup as it looked too watery. The barista made another but it looked no better and tasted awful. Worse coffee I’ve ever had. Even instant coffee tasted better. There was not enough coffee beans and too much water. Never going there again!

Looked nice from the outside so went in with wife & pram. Sadly downhill from there - mainly down to the rather dour woman behind the counter. Poor attitude bordering on rude so we left halfway through our order when she told us there were no sandwiches anyway. Glad we didn’t stay looking at the other reviews here when writing this one though! We went opposite which was cheaper and far more welcoming.

Nice flavours but staff cant be arsed to heat up a pastry. The price for 2 sausage rolls and a pair of hot chocoltes was a touch under £20, and we has to clean our own tables and other tables were filled with junk. Love-less. The baker here is very talemted, but the person who runs the cafe needs to move on to their next job.

Yes, OK, my coffee was excellent, but at a really high price. I'm sure coffee elsewhere would have been just as good, and cheaper.

So it’s 11:30 and Gail’s bakery Windsor have already run out of fruit scones, bacon and cups! They need to have more food available and buy some extra cups. Very poor, such a shame. Wokingham has also gone down hill since Lamri has left!

Quality of coffee is good but not enough in the cup. My daughter ordered an iced coffee which was served in a mug which was unusual. There are better coffee houses in Windsor. Try Esquires.

Gail’s is new in Windsor. Really lovely coffee and a lovely pastry selection. We had the pecan crumb cake (£4.20, was okay, over-priced), and the cinnamon bun (£3.10, delicious). Lots of table space. Would definitely return to try more of their cakes.

Lovely team always friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere when busy and quite Landlady and the team here always have a smile on there face no matter what and always appreciate you coming through the door and going the extra mile It's very nice to see this place becoming a heart of the town centre since the new owners took over and they have done wonders with the place. Decore is brilliant and drinks are reasonably priced.

It is closed. So sad. Was an awesome place to bring the teens in Maidenhead. Nothing else exists. Made our way here only to find it gone. Wonder why the hours are still advertised & it’s showing as open?
