We came for High Tea which was perfect! With a glass of Prosecco, the box of sandwiches and cakes tasted incredible. Everyone loves afternoon tea but personally i find it too much and cant finish, high tea at Frosts was the perfect amount! The facilities were grear and beautiful location! Highly recommend... This is a great spot for a meet up with friends for a coffee or meal. Thirteen of us, including 5 children, met for breakfast. We were not the easiest group to look after BUT Estelle managed us superbly and helped ensure our order was taken correctly and then oversaw the serving and that we had everything ordered. She went more than the extra mile by providing drawing pads and crayons for the children while they were waiting for the food to be served. David in the kitchen provided wonderful food. Claudia looked after all the clearing up, providing the bill and ensuring we were happy. All in, a great experience. Thank you everyone at Frosts restaurant for making it such a good time

Estelle was incredible kind, supportive and very empathetic. We had a few difficult child dynamics and I was overwhelmed and crying. Estelle came to my rescue, assisted us personally at the table throughout our visit. She supplied the children with children’s fun packs. We couldn’t speak more highly of her. Thank you Estelle. Claudia was also kind and attentive to us and Dave was the chef.

Finally the waitress service has gone! Used to go to Frosts cafe frequently with friends, but stopped after waitress service was introduced as service was very slow and always took ages to get a waitress at the end to pay the bill. Now you order and pay at the beginning, the service was very quick and you can actually go and look at the cakes like you used to be able to do before waitress service was introduced. Will be visiting more frequently again now. Very happy!

Estelle was brilliant, excellent service and very attentive. Food was delivered promptly within a few minutes. The jackets were served on plates which we felt were a massive improvement on using the bowls. Thank you!

Wonderful lunch as ever - we try to go every week and they couldn't be more helpful and friendly finding seating suitable for myself with my quad walker. A huge thank you to all the fabulous staff who make each trip so special - Dawn and Dominic have been stars on the past few trips. Plus a big thank you to Sue in the retail section who always stops for a friendly chat with us.

Great lunch with the family today at Frosts Woburn Sands. We were greeted with a smile by a lovely lady who showed us to our table, all staff members that we were talking to were happy and friendly, full English breakfast was delicious and they even provided water for our dog. We live in Woburn Sands - work in Travel Industry but when here enjoy visiting Frosts for talks - plants - gifts - coffee - restaurant. Today’s experience is 1 of the worst eating experiences ever had at Frosts…. We haven’t been for 4 months…. We have enjoyed many nice snacks - tea - meals but today was awful… We were seated quickly - no issues there… Right hand corner as you come in… Table was dirty - although there are plenty of staff milling around - most seem to be wondering about aimlessly… We had to ask for table to be cleaned - we had to ask to order no one come to table - after girl took Order she took incorrect table no so every course went initially delivered to table next to us… My husband ordered soup and sandwich - you would think sandwich would come in nice granary bread or baguette but no comes in very ordinary white limp toast style bread…. My tandoori chicken in Naan was OK - but salad garnish was pathetic limp greenery…. The quality of food and service is more in keeping with a naff caf then what used to be a very pleasant restaurant and place to stop for a coffee, tea , snack or lunch… Standards gone down drastically…. There needs be stronger management directing staff - get rid of chef or give him a bigger budget… Why have your standards gone downhill so much…

We went to the garden centre for a look around and found ourselves close to the restaurant at lunchtime, which was already busy at 12.15. We were tempted to check out the menu and were surprised by the excellent choice of food. There were full meals, sandwiches, soup burgers, salads etc etc. We spotted the Ploughman’s lunch to share and couldn’t not try it out - we’re big fans of a Ploughman’s. The host was very helpful in finding us a suitable table, and we were soon approached by a very pleasant waitress who took our order. We didn’t have to wait too long before another equally friendly waitress appeared with our lunch. We both had the same reaction- wow! The portions were very generous and included two types of bread, cheddar cheese, Stilton, pork pie, sausage roll and pate, plus some salad, cornichons, olives, silverskin onions and four condiments, including an excellent piccalilli and coleslaw. There was a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Our lunch experience surpassed our expectations and we will definitely return again soon - the burgers and jackets with chilli looked great !

Not overly busy (which I gather from the regulars we went there with is unusual) but service still very slow and poor. Forgot drinks twice, so inattentive we ended up walking over to the waitress when we wanted something and servers who seemed to have no interest in doing anything at a pace above sloth like. Plenty of people working there and on hand so no reason for the poor standard. Food and drink OK for the price. Not great value but not a rip off either.

Average and over priced. Not particularly busy, sat immediately and within 1 minute a waitress arrived asking us if we were ready to order, did we want ‘lunch’ as the chefs were hurrying them to get the last orders. Waitress came back another 3 times within 5 minutes of us sitting down. Then another waitress. By this time we felt so rushed we decided against lunch and just chose drinks and a snack and left asap. Dry scone missing the cream cheese and onion marmalade, very ord Will not return.

We visit most weeks and as ever we had a wonderful family lunch. The food is delicious and good value for money. But special mention must go to the new staff members who looked after us so well today and helped my Mum with her bad back and walker - Sarah, Dominick and Harris. Thank you for you brilliant service and friendly conversation as it made the visit that bit more special. And thank you also to the marvelous Estelle and Sue who always stop to have a chat and look after us on all our visits. We will of course be back next week. See you all then.

So disappointing. Warm sandwichs saturated in oil from melted cheese on top for both of us and in white bread only. Felt queasy. Not sure if chef is different since christmas, feels like standards have fallen and not coping well with the volume of customers. We were visiting most weeks, but stepping back until standards improve.

Our order arrived literally within 2 minutes of ordering, so clearly it had not been freshly made. We only ordered sandwiches but even they take a bit of time to make. The bread was soggy with whatever had been spread on it and I couldn’t bite through the roast beef. Staff don’t acknowledge customers so it was hard to get the attention of a server. We let them know about the disappointment of the food and just got a sorry. No offer of discount. We will not be going back.

The breakfast menu looked ok… however, we were unable to try it as someone decided to close the orders for breakfasts earlier than stipulated on the website. The reason given: “it has been a busy morning”… Very disappointing, and we will not be returning.

I haven’t been to Frosts since before Covid so a lot has changed in terms of table service etc. I’m in 2 minds if I prefer it; part of me loves it & the other part of me isn’t too sure. I liked being able to choose my own cakes, scone etc & they used to have a far better variety of cakes etc which doesn’t seem to be the case so much anymore. Aside from this my review is more based on the service we received from Estelle. What a fantastic lady! Attentive but not overbearing, chatty, friendly & helpful. The whole team looked happy so clearly people enjoy their jobs. Hats off to Estelle, an absolute credit to Frosts 😊 The food itself was (on the whole) great. The hot chocolate & coffee was perfect, the triple cooked chips were to die for & my scone (which was the reason I returned) was just as good. My partner found the carrot cake a bit of a let down but still enjoyed it. I think for the price we were paying for the food we perhaps expected a bit more in terms of size of some things like the chips but the price now seems to reflect it being table service. We would have personally preferred the cost to be cheaper and have a better standard of food while remaining ‘help yourself’. Saying this, the food is still very very good for a garden centre so well worth a visit 😊

How disappointing. The breakfast menu looks lovely and there is a great choice for everyone. Unfortunately, two out of our three breakfasts were not even lukewarm and a sausage was missing from one plate. We told our server who took them away. He returned with a single sausage on a plate. Then he took the two lukewarm breakfasts and returned 10minutes later with two fresh breakfasts. Again these were lukewarm apart from the eggs and when I cut into a hash brown it was slightly frozen still. I am concerned about food safety as I thought food needed to be served at a certain temperature and this certainly wasn’t it. Frosts is a lovely place and very reasonably priced and I have been visiting since I was I a child. At no point did a manager visit the table despite us flagging the meals to the servers and them saying they would inform the manager. At no point was a refund offered.

Such a lovely time having lunch. Estelle and the team really made us feel at home and ease. Thank you for a lovely lunch. The chips are amazing!

A long overdue review since we have visited every week for the past 2 years. For the first year we visited with my father who had dementia and was in a wheel chair. The staff, especially Estelle & Sue, went above and beyond in helping make the visits so comfortable for him and chatted away. He so looked forward to his visits and they made him very happy. Sadly he passed away last year but we have continued to visit Frosts every week for the past 10 months. Now the staff look after my mother who had a fall and needs to walk with the help of a quad walker. They always accommodate her with a medium height table and high back chair. Thank you. The garden centre is excellent for plants with a very large variety and has very knowledgeable staff. The gift shop has loads of unique presents, beautifully laid out by the very talented Sue and takes a while to browse round. But the star of the show is the restaurant, which has wonderful food and even more wonderful staff who are very organized, cope with huge numbers of people but still great you with a smile and look after you for the whole of your visit. Thank you. See you next week and really looking forward to the Christmas menu.

My friend and Idecided to have lunch in Frosts restaurant. We had a toasted sandwich each which came with a few chips and a tiny bowl of salad. My friend had a coffee and I had a tea. Price £ 29.97! This was not worth the price paid. The staff are lovely and cannot fault the service but we will go across the road to Woburn emporium for lunch next time we visit Frosts

We used to always use the restaurant but since it has changed to table service it’s gone downhill. The queue was ridiculous and no one seeing to the front of it. The queue was down to the back of the garden centre. We decided to use the other restaurant on the food/ grocery side of garden centre. We joined the queue only 2 people In front so far so good. Only one person serving and 4 more staff behind the scenes. After 10 minutes of waiting to be served as the extremely slow Assistant was still serving the other 2 people I managed to attract someone’s attention and asked them to serve me which they did. You should go back to the previous way of working as it is absolutely ridiculous now and customer service is non existent. I’m afraid that I will now be taking my custom elsewhere. The food is expensive and it certainly does not warrant a return visit.

Went to Frosts for lunch with my partner and was amazed by the service and communication by the staff in the restaurant. They should be very proud of the quality of food provided, I had the Croque Monsieur and it was superb! 5 stars amazing!!!

We visited frosts to see the amazing Christmas displays and have some lunch neither disappointed. There was a queue to get into the restaurant but it was managed really well and it went down very quickly, the staff were all very friendly and extremely efficient, we were shown to our table by Paul, and served by a lovely team member called Ella-rose, our drinks came out quickly and our food followed shortly afterwards, there was plenty to choose from the menu and the food was delicious, we will definitely be returning and I would definitely recommend, thank you Paul and the team

Visited for lunch with my mum,the restaurant was very busy but was seated quickly. Served by friendly,smiling staff who make you feel welcome. The food was fresh,well presented and delicious. While eating I observed staff with a dementia customer at the next table, they were fantastic with her showing patience and compassion, so nice to see. Will definitely be back soon

Had lunch today with my daughter. The food came out quickly and was delicious! The staff are amazing, each and every one of them knows the meaning of providing fantastic service. Friendly and so helpful , nothing was too much for then. They made space for my 5 week old granddaughter’s pushchair , making sure we were comfortable etc. Spoke to the manager (think his name was Paul) and told him the service was better than some fancy restaurants I have been in. We will definitely be back soon .

Have been a regular visitor to Frosts’s for fifty years. Sad it may seem but it has been almost on a weekly basis. Frosts is a lovely garden centre and we will continue to shop there. BUT please Frosts revert back to the old way the restaurant was run. Cancel table service Give customers the choice of where to sit. Do not allow owners who cannot control their dogs barking to remain in the restaurant. I appreciate this is a money making restaurant but it has lost its charm and ambience. Much as I will miss it I think Coffee and cake at Frosts will no longer be a regular occurrence. This review will make no difference to how the restaurant is run but I feel better writing it.

Sadly the restaurant food has gone downhill since the refurb and introduction of table service. Today I chose a jacket potato with tuna mayo and spring onions. When it arrived it was clear that the potato had been pre-filled and kept warm for some time. The tuna mixture had 'cooked' to a dry brown but a dollop of fresh mixture had been put on the top to hide it. The little side salad had also been left out of the fridge, the cucumber slices were dry. I started to eat but The tuna tasted very unpleasent so I asked it to be changed for something else. The table server was very apologetic and took my new order. Unfortunately it took half an hour to arrive and was served without cutlery. I'm afraid to say I've had tummy trouble for the rest of the day.
