Great food. Generous large portion of fish and only one size. Shame about cash only

Fish, chips and battered sausage are great here, mushy peas not as good, not sure about other items as haven't tried. Prices are similar to other chippies, maybe a little higher. They request cash but do have a card machine so that's fine. Staff are ok, one or two are friendly and actually smile and greet you. One of the guys with a top bun is unfriendly though.

Great food. But so slow when you collect. They should have chips ready made. Puts me off going there.

The best and the freshest fish and chips I had in a very very long time. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to check when you ask them about the fish. There tends to be a queues of people in the weekends - clear indication of the popularity of this place. I always believe that consumers show whether they like a place or not with their customs. The haddock I had was massive and deliciously tender with crispy batter. Chips were plentiful and definitely left for some for the next day. They also gave me a complimentary curry sauce. All in all, I loved this place and highly recommend it. I’ll definitely be back.

Poor delivery through Uber eats. Went to wrong address. Unhelpful staff at Fridayz. By the time we received our fish and chips it was cold and soggy. Waste of money, I will not be using Fridayz again!

First time ordering tonight. Ordered on Uber food. We had kids fish and chips, scampi (best I’ve tasted in ages) and chips. Was super fast delivery, still hot and amazing portion size. The free curry sauce was a nice little surprise. Would recommend and will def be back soon.

Been ordering from Fridayz for some years as they were good value and seemed good quality …but I blinked and they now charge £12.45 for an average sized piece of cod! £11.45 for scampi (tasted frozen, congealed v. unpleasant ) and £5.50 for large chips - so an unbelievable £32 including delivery on Deliveroo with a small rider tip . On this occasion , the food was quite poor - the cod itself was very oily - and so we won’t be going back again. Very poor value .

This was our second order from this fish bar and it was every bit as good as our first time. The food arrived quickly and was fresh and hot. One portion of cod and chips was ample for at least two hungry people, and was of the best quality. The reason I want to write a review is to urge people to support this excellent establishment in these difficult times, when so many businesses are struggling. It would be a terrible shame to lose this one, so let's make sure it doesn't happen, or we'll lose the best fish and chips in the area.

The chips here are incredibly hit and miss, I've never known a chippy to be so inconsistent. Maybe it depends on the weather or the price of oil, will it be engine oil or vegetable oil? Skin on today or skin off? Tasty or not tasty, crispy or mushy. They've only got one job! Do yourself a favour go to Golden Century in Hersham for a consistently decent chip.

Not a bad chippy but not the best. Scampi was ok but chips are a bit weird the last time I got them. What I cannot get past is the CASH ONLY policy when ordering from the shop. That just doesn't wash in 2022 for me. Staff were friendly and polite. Get a card machine. Always looks dodgy when places don't take card.

Disgusting service and uneatable food. Guys why not stop ripping off customers, provide a decent friendly service and FRESH fish! the place stank and the staff needed a good wash!

I have visited here before and order the same thing everytime, today after getting my order they had got my order completely wrong so I phoned and asked if they could deliver the correct order and take the wrong one back, the manager then shouted down the phone " this is what you ordered dont lie" when I again told him I didn't order what they had given me he started to laugh down the phone. Completely shocked at this response and so unprofessional I will never order from him again and definitely won't be recommending them. Rude, unprofessional, pathetic

Fish are really good size with very tasty chips and proper curry sauce. Busy on weekends so be patient. Prices reasonable and staff are good

We have been regular customers for a very long time and always recommended Friday's to people we know. It was top class for fish & chips. We had a deliveroo last night and had cod & chips. Well disappointment wasn't the word for it. The cod was much smaller which wasn't a problem but the chips were awful. They were all bruised black chips and dry and not crispy and upto the high standard that I've always given Friday's. Very unhappy customer.

Really long waits for off0the street customers as establishment struggles to serve Uber/Deliveroo etc as well. I went there on a Friday and was assured that the wait would be a few minutes. I ended up waiting 53 minutes for some chips.. I'm not inclined to return.

Food quality fish......very busy at times and long wait

This rating comes from my DOG not myself as I wasn't able to eat much of it. Never seen a cod sold with skin on! Have you?! Clearly defrosted fish was quickly fried in cheap. Tasted disgusting, nothing like proper chipshop battered fish. Had better expectations looking at the set up and price, but everything was pretty much ASDA Value range including chips and onion rings. Charged £3.80 for one spring roll - Yes one! And that was very dripping in oil. Prawns were awful, frozen stuff re-cooked in oil, some of them were not even cleaned properly.

Just bought cod and chips today for the first time at this restaurant and I have to say one of the best I’ve had for a very long time. Portions are enormous and excellent quality. Will certainly visit again.

This is the 3rd time the delivery hasnt turned up at the specified time. I actually dont think its going to arrive at all now. No answer on phone and another 20 quid down the pan. Shocking (non) service. Or maybe its Just Eat. Either way rubbish service.

This is THE place for us for Fish and Chips. Their Cod is really crispy and tasty and the rustic chips is really good. Portions are great for what you are paying. Tried their curry sauce which is highly recommended. We always take 2 portions of their Prawns which is also really good

These people cook incredibly weird tasting chips. Totally OK if you flood with vinegar and you're wasted . But I don't get it if your business just depends on fish and chips. Owner obviously arrogant and hasn't done his taste research. Really good fish though. No cards and dodgy customer service.

Food arrives in time or a little early. It’s hot and very tasty indeed. Fish is delightful. Chips are crisp, perfect. You can phone and collect too and the staff are superb. An Uber Eats driver let me down on Friday, he collected fish & chips at 7.03pm and delivered at 7.50pm! Who likes cold fish and chips? So I went to Fridayz myself and I went to pay and they insisted on giving it to me free. What a great customer service. The food here is always excellent so don't think twice about going. Portions are extremely generous too. Massive thanks to you Fridayz and won't be using Uber any more. Fingers crossed you don't get Vladimir for your delivery if you do!

We reckon the fish and chips here are better than we have at the coast. Generous portions and always busy. It's a shame they are closed on Sundays.

You get what you pay for. It's pricey but it's worth it! Edit: I left my first review when I first moved to the area, it's been 2 years now and the card machine has been 'broken' the whole time which I'm sure is convenient when it comes to paying taxes!! BUT now, especially now with all that's going on you value your pennies more then the health and safety of your customers. I went into my wallet, passed over the cash, the same person handled my food and gave me the change. How many exchanges were made before me?? Sort it out! Contactless is the present...

Can't rate these guys enough,the Cod is chunky clean fresh and cooked in rapeseed oil...Always large portions delicious mushy peas curry sauce and homemade tartre sauce. Been using for the last 5 years and consistantly always 5 stars ....been desperately missing fish and chips during lockdown and just found out they re open Monday 20th April......!!!!

Was always amazing fresh and so good however I'm sorry to say our last takeaway was disappointing...the fish tasted strange had a strange smell to it like bleach so I just ate my chips was so looking forward to it too very unusual as its normally great..2 out of the 4 fish we ordered smelt and tasted odd??

Very disappointed with the type of chips. The chips were like eating McCoy's. If they used chips they prepared themselves omg they would be perfect with their fish. Very clean and welcoming but I came for the chips and like I said dissapointing.

I've just finished the best 2x plaice and large chips I and the better half have had from here, it's always good but this was special. The batter was crispy all round not a sign of grease, the fish was lovely and moist, then the chips, cor fresh and fluffy with a slightly firm skin full of tatty flavour!!Thank you very much.

The fish is well cooked and the batter is lovely and crunchy as are the chips. It's very popular and if you don't pre order there is quite often a wait but it is worth waiting for.

Always cooked fresh. Wait time is understandable as fridays and Saturdays are always packed- worth the wait though (What do you expect in a rush hour)! You get so much in a portion so worth the price too! Been a regular ever since my first try- no where else is as close to fridays quality! 5 stars.

Over cooked greasy food that proved so disappointing. Nice people but I know why the tables were all empty No passion in what they produce just a cook going through the motions.

3 Stars rates it as OK and I'm afraid that's all it is! Went here when it very first opened and wasn't that impressed then, but having read the recent reviews my son and I decided to give ot another go! On arrival after sitting down we ordered two soft drinks and the chap that served us dropped the glass on the table and large shards of broken glass went everywhere just missing us... Okay, that was an accident but not a good start nonetheless. I'm genuinely marking 3 on the food.... It was avarage and the 2 slices of bread on the menu turned out to be one and a half and stale around the edges. It doesn't come as part of the meal, it's on the menu and you have to order as a side. I have to say we were rather excited with there being a great Baker a few doors down that it was going to be 2 slices from a fresh bloomer as the cost was 80p the price of a sliced white hovis loaf!!! Anyway, another huge dissapointment was... No pickles in a fish and chip shop!!!!!!! So I'm afraid we'll be sticking to eating at Superfish in Molesey where its far more reasonably priced and you get the complimentary pickle trolley 👍
