McDonald's in Elmbridge

Friday 27th December 2024. The burger I ordered did not look cooked properly. They were too busy I guess and under pressure. Stupidly I ate it and a few hours later regretted that decision. Violently sick and ruined a weekend away as I could only eat sparingly for a while until my stomach was back to normal. This was my fault as I should have returned it to be properly cooked. I submit this review as it might build up a picture for McDonalds if there are other complaints this day.

Came here on Sunday evening, and ordered a McPlant burger and an additional burger, from an adjacent rival restaurant, within these Services. Service was very rapid and fastidious and McPlant burger was very tasty.

Quick meet up with a work colleague who was returning from Folkestone, whilst I was coming from Heathrow Terminal 5. Good amount of parking was available; service was pretty quick and efficient. McPlant and Quarter pounder burgers were all fine.

Stopped on the way home for a burger..... Big queues there. Wonder how many of them are disgusted by the absolute dried up half-size piece of trash they give you..... No way would I ever do a Motorway McDonald's again!!

Ordered via app then went in to collect. Waited 5 mins then checked it gone through, they confirmed it gone through again. Waited another 10 minutes and still no food. Spoke to another manager who took me to till, he said it hadn't printed out so he printed it out and gave me a number this time. Waited another 5 mins and confirmed they had order as it was not up on the board, all numbers except ours. He confirmed they got it but board was not working properly. Waited another 10 mins and still no food. Went and doikd to another manager, said I had been waiting over 30 mins, he took my ticket and went and got my food together. Finally got 5 mins later and he apologies. Started walking out but thought I would check just to make sure we had everything and sure enough they FORGOT the chips!! Went straight back to the manager, he checked my bag, then walked over got the chips, shoved them in my hand and he walked off, didn't even apologies. UNBELIEVABLE.

Ordered on the app and my order was on the screen for about 2 mins then disappeared, I asked and they ignored me, I waited another 20 mins and they were bringing them out from the side so the food was cold, he called a miner that didn’t sound like mine and he was very quiet, what looked like the manager asked what number it was and it was my one, I said I was here and the “manager” was very rude and said he called your number and you were right there, I said if I had heard it I would have said I was there and that he needs to get them to talk louder

Avoid at all costs It took them 40 minutes to make 3 chicken burgers and chips as the manager cleared the till without checking if the orders where complete. when approaching the workers I got told they don’t want to listen as they have other stuff to do after another 10 minutes the manager slammed my order down and didn’t call the number so there was no way of knowing it was mine When I asked for the second time how long my order would be as other people with a higher number was called the manager said your order is on the counter in a rude manner When I got to the table and opened my order I found BROWN LETTUCE in my burger which shows hygiene is not a high priority when I tried speaking to the manager on shift I saw an employee drop a bun on the floor and still continued to put a burger on it

Ordered a cheesy bacon flatbread for breakfast and only got the bread, and we ordered a sausage and egg McMuffin for my mum and she never got it, and my dad asked for no bacon in his meal once and they put bacon in it. Poor service

8.30 am on the M25 and we decided to stop off here for breakfast. Food was the usual consistent chain type, but edible enough. Service was reasonably fast given the long lines awaiting food, and there was plenty of seating. Value was very good for the area.

This is by far the best mcdonalds I've ever visited and believe me I've eaten in many. The staff were very friendly and approachable and were organised with a militant approach to customer service. Our food came quickly but was also fresh and pipping hot. Top notch experience and I'd highly recommend. People are quick to slander Donald's when the service isn't quite up the scratch but the guys in Cobham deserve a big pat on the back.

Very quick service which was brilliant. We noticed very good attention to our health and safety. The tea was piping hot and tasted great.

Utter rubbish breakfast my flat bread was cold after eating the rest of my breakfast instant gut rumblings and needed to poop not good

Stopped in Cobham services on my way to Guildford. This McDonald's was quick and the safety measures in place are good.

Food from this MCD's seems well produced. Food is hot, and the staff are friendly. You can order food from screens or via staff.

Love this service station, sadly visit it all too frequently on the way to lhr or on the way back. However, McDonald’s is a nightmare, for me anyway. As in the early hours it’s the only spot open I am sort of forced to use it for reasonably priced coffee and breakfast. I appreciate they are frequently super busy but if I get one more incorrectly filled order I feel I might not be responsible for my actions!!! Sadly when you tell them it’s not correct (if you noticed before you got back to your car to rush up to the airport), their responses wouldn’t be able to be used in a good customer service training seminar, quite the opposite. Staff note: when you get my order wrong, it is not MY fault. You work there, I don’t. Get the order right and, when you don’t, at least try and fake an apology, even though it’s obvious you don’t give a monkeys. Statistics: 7/10 of my orders are wrong (and I’m only ordering for one skinny tired female driver!) Challenge: can you get that down to 2/10 this year?

We had trouble with the server not understanding simple English during our order.Some questions about drink choices with our breakfast were misunderstood on numerous occasions.

We had three breakfast meals here and really you pay for what you get. The service was very good and the food was the same as you would get from any McDonald's. The queue when we arrived looked big but the staff went through this quite fast. There are plenty of tables to sit at and if a quick snack is what you are after you will be fine here.

Yes another McDonald’s with the dreaded touch screen ordering systems that will not take the coffee vouchers and do delay ordering with queues of people waiting in such a small area near the toilets

Used the touch screens to order breakfast, pretty simple and great that you can amend your standard items such as adding another patty to your sausage mcmuffin or taking the egg out of a breakfast wrap, order was received quickly, everything was hot and as ordered.

Faced with Starbucks as the only cafe choice at the Cobham Service Station on the M25, I opted to get a coffee at McDonald’s there. I ordered at the counter rather than the touch screen facility and got good service. The coffee was produced quickly and was well made, tasty and best of all, it was hot. I was surprised at how efficient the whole process was.

Stopped at McDonald for breakfast. Asked for an extra syrup for pancakes and was told it would be 20p extra. Now it’s not the money it is the principle. They dole out tons of ketchup at no extra charge...that is more likely to affect their profit margin than syrup. Really? So much for customer service.

This is again an impersonal touch screen McDonald’s where No one talks to you but saying that the staff were efficient t and the eating area clean and pleasant

it has the advantages of touch screen ordering - which is ok if the people before you had clean hands. service is then by number order but not always in turn - so lots of noisy show off kids standing around. unpleasant eating area and food that falls apart.

Usual fayre on offer at this McDonalds on the M25. Quick service, good food and helpful friendly staff.

New computerised ordering system to use (if you want to), but tills still available to order. The system seems very quick once you get the hang of the ordering machines. Will use again.

Can anyone add more to being at McDonald's, in a motorway Service Area? It sell what it say in the tin! Have some healthy options now with reasonably price real coffee. Apart from that. It is a McDonald!

It is not just here but the McDonalds in general have a slow ordering system, waiting for some time, and even when it says it’s ready for collection, you are stilll waiting whilst later orders pass you by.

Went friday in the evening, fast service but my milkshake tasted absolutely foul took one sip then threw it away! The chips weren't up to McDonald's standards either...

Standard McDonald's which seems to be very busy at most times when we've visited. No special features.

Before the automatic ordering and payment machines, this used to be one of the quickest and most efficient of the motorway McDonald’s. But now you always see queues of people waiting here, so much that they go elsewhere.

On the Services, this is a busy outlet, service was slow, as they appeared to be struggling with volume of customers, food ok at best.

ordered here at 11pm as i arrived in the days inn next door, orderd grand big mac meal, reasonably priced, tasty but food was cold so maybe had been sat on shelf for a while

Loads of people using this on our visit. The automated order point made things smoother to order, but it felt like a scrum waiting to collect. Big Mac was hot and not soggy. Chips decent enough too for McDonalds - I've had worse!

This used to be better when there was customer interaction at the point of sale but unfortunately McDonalds have decided to take this away with automation - it is so much better at neighbouring Greggs that have so much better customer services and direct customer interaction

Visited for lunch on a Saturday. I couldn't order a hot drink with a happy meal using the automated ordering machines so had to que to order. It was very busy. Food was your average McDonald's. The chips were hot which was nice unlike the coffee which was warm at best.

No problem here except it’s always so busy and chaotic. Usual Macdonald food. Not sure the computer system works efficiently.

Stopped here the other morning whilst commuting. Ordered via the new electronic ordering boards, touch screen & paid via contactless. Only waited about a minute before they called my order number. Food was really hot, and what you'd expect. Very nice, quick & reasonably priced.

I am not someone who regularly eats at McDonald's, but this was a pleasant surprise. The food I had, chicken strips with a dip with fries and a coffee, was absolutely fine. the chicken was breast and looked nice and white under the coating, the sweet chilli sauce was ok, it left a bit of a lingering taste at the back of the throat; but what do you want from a fast food restaurant. I was surprised by the quality of the coffee, I had a regular white coffee, it was very nice. Its a busy service station and the line for the McDonald's looked daunting, however, they had a lot of speedy staff on board to take orders very efficiently, so it wasn't too long to get the food. In some ways the fact it is so busy is a good thing as the turnover of food is so quick, your meals are hot and have not been sitting around for ages.

With no mc Donald's in actual Cobham high st, this is our nearest, open 24 hours a day. Very handy and a good price. Good choice of seating.

You know what you're getting with McDs. The installation of order points has made the process quicker. There are many order points to use, making the waiting area for food rather full. At least someone had the sense to move the napkins and straws to the large exit area!

This has changed since my last visit and it now is fully automated like most McDonald's - an American idea I suspect so one doesn't get customer interaction and can cut back in staff in the long term - don't entirely like this idea but I did get my coffee fairly quickly so process worked for me

Used this outlet again on our way home. Friendly staff, even though the place was heaving. Food arrived quickly and was the normal McDs taste. Table clearing happening far better than in the local store!

Just how you would expect it to be. We did not have any problems at all. It was very busy but we got our order quickly. Till staff were efficient.

Great lunch, served quickly, when the place was very busy, tasty and hot lunch. Found a space to sit although there was space outside.

Good service and friendly staff from this McDonald's branch - better than some definitely especially when this one is extremely busy

I was just passing through on my way to the third crusade, and i needed a bite to eat. .. . . . foirtunately, the m25 had this excelent mcdonalds restaurant avaiable for eating. Yum ! Delivious! I had the salt the pepper rib burger..... very good with the barbebbq sauce. The biceps and triceps could use improvement !

Pretty standard really. Never going to win awards for food quality but the service was quick and they had to deal with a large number of customers. Convenient and decent price compared to other outlets.

A typical McDonalds. Soggy buns , dried out burgers and the smallest amount of gherkin that can be sliced. Avoid .

How the young man serving at the counter interpreted 'A strawberry/banana smoothie, please' to mean 'A strawberry milkshake' is beyond me, only one word is the same. Does he automatically think that everything strawberry-flavoured has to be a milkshake? Anyway, I was too surprised to protest when I was handed the wrong drink. Besides, I like them both, so no problem there, really.
