Quality has dropped under the new owner while prices have gone up beyond belief. Shame that the good efforts of the old owners going waste like this. They even charge for tiny tartar sauce with fish and chips which would maybe had been OK if the quality was good.

Seriously overrated fish & chip shop! Stopped off here a few times, and can honestly say it has got worse and worse! Chips average at best, fish is no better than anywhere else and the menu limited! Coupled with counter staff who insist on “cash only” despite having card capability….seriously, its the 21st century..who carries cash! Tried a different chippie locally which is far better value and took card!…not sure what the other reviews are comparing this place to but it is not all its cracked up to be…atleast for me!

They no longer do a quarter fried chicken 😭 Been ordering that for years . A real disappointment. Now they do southern fried chicken🤮 which is not as good. And taking business away from Morleys. I love Morleys and their food is much better. Total disappointment😢

I preferred the way it used to look, felt more authentic BUT the lady who served me was lovely, looked efficient and clean. I waited ten mins for a family order. Calamari a little fatty, but still nice. Fish lightly battered which was PERFECT! Overall awesome ☺️

Service was great fish was great sausage in batter was disappointing as was the chicken burger the bun was not fresh at all! And the chicken meat was pink

If you want fish and chips or anything associated including fried chicken then this is the place to go locally. You will not want to go to the other competitors once you have tried this one because they cannot compare

Stopped of for some chips, and decided to eat in there restaurant. Really good food. So since I last eat there,I decided to get a delivery. Cold chips, tasted like yesterday's. Good portion of fish, but not very crispy. 1 cod, 1 scampi large chips. Not worth £39.00 never again.

Went to Friday'z on friday 23rd feb had been here before about 8months ago. Orderd 1 large cod, 2 sausage in batter and chips (was going to order rock but they said they did not have any? ). Service bland, food terible cod had hardly any fish in it base of fish rock hard batter pasable, batterd sausage worst we have had batter limp around sausage and sausage was of a very poor quality, chips limp wrist no life in them, will not be going back £17 wasted on bad qaulity.

Your driver’s routing gave him the wrong route and took him to the wrong address. It’s not unusual for this address but it could be fixed

Fish, chips and battered sausage are great here, mushy peas not as good, not sure about other items as haven't tried. Prices are similar to other chippies, maybe a little higher. They request cash but do have a card machine so that's fine. Staff are ok, one or two are friendly and actually smile and greet you. One of the guys with a top bun is unfriendly though.

Great food. But so slow when you collect. They should have chips ready made. Puts me off going there.

Amazing workers!! Great customer service and amazing food, some of the best fish and chips i’ve tasted in Surrey!! Friendly staff and very professional, their food is not greasy and they even offer a deep fried mars bar on the menu for a reasonable price!!

Food always delivered quickly as were 5 min from it .. yet it’s always stone cold! Items missing! And just doesn’t taste fresh atoll - won’t order no more as it’s always the same poor quality food

Chips was disgusting kids didn’t even eat them! Very dry! Definitely not fresh! Sausage’s definitely wasn’t fresh wasn’t hot atall was rubbery like it had been cooked hrs ago and left to stay heated - really disappointing

Best chip shop in Walton, Weybridge, Sunbury, probably Surrey! So gutted it’s closed, not sure why, hoping it’s temporary, as tried to get my favourite Haddock and chips and found it to be closed. Had to go Weybridge and was hoping it was nearly as good but just being hopeful really and was just a 5/10, as opposed to Fridayz 9 and a half out of ten!

The best and the freshest fish and chips I had in a very very long time. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to check when you ask them about the fish. There tends to be a queues of people in the weekends - clear indication of the popularity of this place. I always believe that consumers show whether they like a place or not with their customs. The haddock I had was massive and deliciously tender with crispy batter. Chips were plentiful and definitely left for some for the next day. They also gave me a complimentary curry sauce. All in all, I loved this place and highly recommend it. I’ll definitely be back.

Poor delivery through Uber eats. Went to wrong address. Unhelpful staff at Fridayz. By the time we received our fish and chips it was cold and soggy. Waste of money, I will not be using Fridayz again!

First time ordering tonight. Ordered on Uber food. We had kids fish and chips, scampi (best I’ve tasted in ages) and chips. Was super fast delivery, still hot and amazing portion size. The free curry sauce was a nice little surprise. Would recommend and will def be back soon.

My wife and I had cod and chips delivered and agreed that it was the best fish and chips we had eaten in years. Nice thick cod and non-soggy chips. Not the cheapest but well worth the money.

Been ordering from Fridayz for some years as they were good value and seemed good quality …but I blinked and they now charge £12.45 for an average sized piece of cod! £11.45 for scampi (tasted frozen, congealed v. unpleasant ) and £5.50 for large chips - so an unbelievable £32 including delivery on Deliveroo with a small rider tip . On this occasion , the food was quite poor - the cod itself was very oily - and so we won’t be going back again. Very poor value .

Just eat took an order and then didn’t have any drivers to collect it so we had to collect it ourselves - you didn’t deliver it !!!

I went into the shop and got chips and paid 3.90 which is large. Got home and looked and it’s regular.

Sausages were not nice. Virtually cold and not at all appetising. Cod was ok but not worth the £9.50. Small and in bits.

Beautifully cooked and piping hot

This was our second order from this fish bar and it was every bit as good as our first time. The food arrived quickly and was fresh and hot. One portion of cod and chips was ample for at least two hungry people, and was of the best quality. The reason I want to write a review is to urge people to support this excellent establishment in these difficult times, when so many businesses are struggling. It would be a terrible shame to lose this one, so let's make sure it doesn't happen, or we'll lose the best fish and chips in the area.

The chips here are incredibly hit and miss, I've never known a chippy to be so inconsistent. Maybe it depends on the weather or the price of oil, will it be engine oil or vegetable oil? Skin on today or skin off? Tasty or not tasty, crispy or mushy. They've only got one job! Do yourself a favour go to Golden Century in Hersham for a consistently decent chip.

Not a bad chippy but not the best. Scampi was ok but chips are a bit weird the last time I got them. What I cannot get past is the CASH ONLY policy when ordering from the shop. That just doesn't wash in 2022 for me. Staff were friendly and polite. Get a card machine. Always looks dodgy when places don't take card.

Disgusting service and uneatable food. Guys why not stop ripping off customers, provide a decent friendly service and FRESH fish! the place stank and the staff needed a good wash!

The place stank and whilst waiting for my order I was beginning to have concerns, I should have got up and walked. Despite having paid. The fish was not fresh, the chips undercooked and greasy, service poor and everything handled without scoops, gloves or any customer safety welfare.

I have visited here before and order the same thing everytime, today after getting my order they had got my order completely wrong so I phoned and asked if they could deliver the correct order and take the wrong one back, the manager then shouted down the phone " this is what you ordered dont lie" when I again told him I didn't order what they had given me he started to laugh down the phone. Completely shocked at this response and so unprofessional I will never order from him again and definitely won't be recommending them. Rude, unprofessional, pathetic

By far the best fish and chips I've ever tasted...not just in Walton, but in the whole of the UK! This family run restaurant is worth going out of your way to visit. All natural ingredients, including whole potatoes and the finest fish, are prepared 'from scratch' daily and fired to order. You can place a telephone order, but I've happily queued and waited...it's 100% worth it. They deserve an award for taste!

Food was a bit cold and the batter was soggy . Be Like it had been on the counter for to long maybe pre ordering for a time is not the best thing to do .

Fish are really good size with very tasty chips and proper curry sauce. Busy on weekends so be patient. Prices reasonable and staff are good

We have been regular customers for a very long time and always recommended Friday's to people we know. It was top class for fish & chips. We had a deliveroo last night and had cod & chips. Well disappointment wasn't the word for it. The cod was much smaller which wasn't a problem but the chips were awful. They were all bruised black chips and dry and not crispy and upto the high standard that I've always given Friday's. Very unhappy customer.

Order online or expect to wait an excessive amount of time. We ordered one portion of chips and waited over 20 minutes , while watching every delivery driver come in and out with collections straight away. There were numerous other people still waiting when we left who were there before us. It seemed like the takeaway orders had to be completed before serving anyone in the shop. A shame because the food is good, but that was a ridiculous wait time.

Really long waits for off0the street customers as establishment struggles to serve Uber/Deliveroo etc as well. I went there on a Friday and was assured that the wait would be a few minutes. I ended up waiting 53 minutes for some chips.. I'm not inclined to return.

Food quality fish......very busy at times and long wait

This rating comes from my DOG not myself as I wasn't able to eat much of it. Never seen a cod sold with skin on! Have you?! Clearly defrosted fish was quickly fried in cheap. Tasted disgusting, nothing like proper chipshop battered fish. Had better expectations looking at the set up and price, but everything was pretty much ASDA Value range including chips and onion rings. Charged £3.80 for one spring roll - Yes one! And that was very dripping in oil. Prawns were awful, frozen stuff re-cooked in oil, some of them were not even cleaned properly.

The chips were soggy but the fish and onion rings were both good.
