Turned up at 20:40 for an order of 3 jumbo sausages 5 fish …… wasn’t willing to cook it as they close at 21:00 …. Wanted to palm us off with the stuff that’s been sat in the heater all night … never had an issue here before although a little over priced for what it is . I’ll never use this place again and they don’t need my business anyway by all accounts

I eat from here regularly. The food is always excellent. Always very tasty. The service is excellent and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

We had a large fish and chips the batter was hard the chips weren't very nice very pale didn't feel cooked plus the meal was cold ! Also a fishcake and chips again all cold ! It felt like the fish must have been in the warmer a long time and the chips cooked in the afternoon....We collected them at 6pm

Fryer Tuck was the best fish & chips shop in Barry, always had a lovely meal, I bought 3 fish & chips with curry sauce , I was absolutely appalled that the fish was more or less batter hardly any fish , more fish on a fish finger. I always enjoy going there for our fish & chips, but after this won't be going there again,it cost a small fortune & didn't even enjoy it, plus there was 12 chips that's all, yes I counted them. Fryer Tuck you've had your chips I WON'T be buying from you again !!!! The prices have gone up but your portion size has gone right down. I'll never recommend you to anyone !!!!

Great tasting food, quality ingredients. Chips are not greasy at all. Clean premises, all staff wearing masks properly and good food hygiene.

We have been coming here for over seven years , and have never had a bad meal. The quality of food is excellent always well cooked and portions great . Especially the pensioners special. You have our vote every time 👍👍

Terrible for the price, no drink included with meal and gave me a bun with a dry chicken burger slapped inside ...no sauce no cheese no butter just so so dry can't even eat itjust so disappointimg for the price

Despite the name, I am not a relation nor am I linked with the business...All I can say is.... Curry sauce THE best chip shop curry sauce I have ever had.. it was so tasty with enough spice and flavour, and a large tub too! Accompanying my light, bubbly battered sausage and chips was a real delight!I’ll definitely recommend to friends, and be visiting again! Would have been a full 5 star review but unfortunately had limited vegetarian options for my friend (despite being on the menu, they weren’t available)

Called in this evening Tuesday 30th June had large chips small curry sauce Victoria park minced beef pie and 3 fish bites, the only problem we had was I had scoffed all crispy fresh fish bites before we got to our destination. They were the best fish bites I’ve ever eaten the batter was light and crispy absolutely wonderful definitely recommend them. The staff are pleasant helpful and friendly the chips were plentiful and curry was nice. All in all so pleased we decided on Fryer Tuck there are plenty of chip shops in Barry but only 1 to go to Fryer Tuck every time thanks to you all see you again soon !!

I ordered 2 large cod which I had in a box, 2 bags of chips, sausage and curry sauce. When getting in my car the fat poured out of the box onto my seat so I took them back in the shop, my hands were covered in fat. In all fairness they replaced the full order, however, when I got home and opened the food, one piece of fish looked awful, the batter was saturated in fat. The other piece of fish didn’t look as bad so I dished my husband and daughter’s food and took the one piece of fish back for a refund. When I got home, my husband said his fish was awful, full of fat.I did have a refund for one piece of fish but the girl behind the counter looked at me as if I had two heads. The whole order was £17 ... not cheap!!!Usually the fish is lovely from here but tonight it was disgusting. There was a female doing the cooking which is unusual and if I ever seen her cooking again, I wouldn’t buy the food ... what a waste of money and time.

Visited for the first time Friday Evening Not disappointed! Premises very clean with a 5 star hygiene rating. Greeted by very friendly staff in uniforms. Ordered 2 large fish & chips. Freshly cooked, not greasy and lovely chunky chips !This will be our go to chippy in the future !Definitely recommend!!

I ordered the Chinese chicken curry tonight and was extremely disappointed for a Chinese sauce it was extremely spicy so you could barely taste anything when I messaged the facebook page I was met with a complete lack of care several other people tried my food and thought the same as I did!

Been to many chip shops in Barry but none of them compare to the quality of Fryer Truck! Food and staff are always spot on! Best chip shop in Barry, enough said.

Just flown back to Cardiff airport wanted to have dinner before the drive back to Devon. Found this amazing chip shop. excellent service very friendly staff. the food was excellent. if we travel back to Cardiff airport this is the one place we will defiantly be stopping at,

I had the Small Cod meal.. ideal size for me. Both fish and chips were cooked well and extremely tasty. Will definitely use again!

We were advised to go to Fryer Tuck, Richard Street, Barry as it was a reasonable fish and chip shop. Big Mistake! The fish was dreadful, soggy and tasteless, the chips Urgh I have eaten many chips but these were definitely held over from the lunchtime. They were dry and wrinkled which tells me they were left hanging around. The fruit curry was so runny. Will never ever recommend or buy from there again.

Everything is made to order and so fresh tasting. The best fish I have had for a long time. LUSH !!! Enough Said

The food from this chip shop has been deteriorating for a while. Last week the fish was overcooked and tasteless, this week I tried a fishcake that was black on the bottom and when I broke it open was dry and smelling rancid. The chips were more bits than chips, and the possibly edible ones were overcooked and hard. I have used the shop regularly since the owner took over, but definitely not recommended, and I won't be using it again

Visiting Barry for a few days to catch up with a friend, noticed this chippie was closest to her house & collected supper from there one evening.

Visitamos anoche por primera vez después de oír tiene una categoría de 5 estrellas y comentarios diciendo comida tiene recién cocinados pescados, etc. Pescado ya cocinados, el 2 raciones de patatas fritas que pedí eran tamaños completamente diferente. La salsa de curry de frutas era espantosa como agua y no tiene sabor. No vamos a volver y se pegan con nuestros chips.

A side street Fish bar that has good fare but not my first choice,the service is by giggly girls that make you feel uncomfortable while you are waiting

Yo en esta tienda de chips con regularidad, mi marido tiene el pescado y patatas fritas pensioners_nus que cuesta 2,75 libras y una salsa lrish medio de curry, que cuesta £1.10 . Es una muy buena comida. El personal es muy amable, pero profesional en todo momento, l tienen ordenados por teléfono para ahorrar tiempo como el pescado es preparado a pedido, pero el servicio es rápido normalmente. He salsa curry, arroz y patatas fritas y que sólo cuesta 3,10 euros y es una porción masiva. Me encanta esta tienda de chips imprescindible para cualquiera gusto pescado tradicional británica y patatas fritas, dan a este lugar un ir, no te decepcionará

Muy bonita y limpia y tienda de chips. Las patatas fritas son fantásticas. El precio es perfecto y el personal es muy amable. Bajo nueva dirección así que sin duda la Chippie para visitar

This is a fish&chip shop up a side street in Barry. It has no place to be listed on Trip. Having said that, the chips are excellent. I cannot comment on their other items as I haven't tried them.

No fuss,just does what it says on the tin!I/we will use this place again in the future.That says it all !

This is a Chinese chippy with a limited menu and a bit on the dear side.Has been better in the past but if you just want something quick its OK

Not sure why someone has put this premises on here, but it is nothing but a back street chippy!!And nothing special with the food!!Far better places around Barry.
