Went in after a long walk with my son’s dog. Popped in on the way back. Had the two course menu at £20, beautifully prepared and great tastes. Made most welcome, a lovely lunch.

What a great place - excellent food, fantastic people. If you love good food and great service visit Rick Stein, Paul Ainsworth And Nathan Outlaw but do not miss out on the Four Boys in Rock

Tapas style lunch shared by four of us. Delightful variety of dishes and flavours finished off with knockout desserts. Service was excellent and dogs were allowed into the restaurant. Thank-you.

Not worth the hype or the price tag. Nice atmosphere and great location with a beautiful view over the Camel but the food is utterly mediocre; no flare at all and simply nowhere near the standards of The Mariners (a five minute walk up the road) or Prawn on the Lawn, Rojanos etc in Padstow. Very expensive; lamb skewer starter is £5 and literally a single, tiny skewer on a ‘school dinners style’ plate. Feels very basic. Main course of cod is nice but very much the calibre of cooking you’d do for yourself at home. Really not worth it. Disappointing, massively overpriced; better off going elsewhere.

Informal and casual dining experience in nice location overlooking Padstow and the Camel estuary. The food was superbly cooked and prepared. I am struggling to recall a meal so good and such good value. You know you have to be good when you open in this location with Rick opposite, Paul Ainsworth next door and opposite and Nathan Outlaw just up the road. This place, in my limited experience, can hold its own.

Spent a lovely afternoon enjoying a few bubbles & delicious cacio e pepe, oysters & focaccia. Thank you to the staff who were fun & friendly. Will be back.

This is not fine dining that’s for sure. Understanding that and embracing this wonderful place for what it is and you will not be disappointed! The waiting staff are all young, positive, friendly and relaxed, so no negatives there. The food philosophy is fantastic! From the inventive and interesting small plates selection to the ever changing specials board everything we sampled was fresh, extremely tasty and well cooked. So good, we took the ferry from Padstow to Rock to eat here twice during our four day stay! Don’t hesitate! Book it, it’s brilliant!

Lunch at Four Boys Cafe - Cornwall. Located Ferry Point, Rock, Wadebridge PL27 6LD. These boys have been open for just over a year now. We could have gone to a certain pub down the road but we like to support small independents. . Four Boys is a cafe and restaurant overlooking the estuary in Rock.Their menu changes regularly, depending what’s in season. In the morning they serve single origin coffee, breakfast buns and pastries. At lunch and dinner there's fresh pasta, grilled fish and salads served as plates to share. . As it was a sunny-ish day we wanted somewhere to sit outside with our doggies. We hadn't booked and on arrival it seemed everybody else had the same idea. Luckily, they managed to find us the last available table on the terrace with a magnificent view of Padstow on the other side of the estuary. . The menu is small, but has a nice selection to temp you into possibly over ordering. With it being lunchtime and a dinner reservation elsewhere later,we just ordered three plates to share. A lovely peice of fried Monkfish with an egg tartar sauce. Heirloom tomato, anchovy ,shallot salad. So glad we ordered the Papardrelle with pork ragu and parmesan. This was one of the tastiest pasta dishes we have had in a long time. To sum up, these boys serve up delious freshly cooked food, simply plated at a budget friendly price. Along with great service their definately ones to watch. If you want to visit, make sure you book.

Great food but terrible service. We waited ages for someone to take our order even though it was pretty empty. Eventually we went up to the bar to order. The food took ages to arrive (sausage sandwich) but was good. But they had run out of brown sauce at breakfast! Why not send one of the servers to the shop to buy some? The young servers think they are too cool to show much interest in the customers and just stand around chatting to each other. Shame really! We didn’t leave a tip!

Very high expectations.. only to be disappointed by really loud music and not great service, a lot of the fish hadn’t been delivered yet (1pm!) but wasn’t crossed off on the blackboard/menu so being pescatarian we had quite limited options. The fish soup was absolutely delicious and really good value, but we felt that a few of the other dishes were quite over seasoned and overpriced, A shame because we were really looking forward to this lunch after hearing very good things.

Always use Buzz's when visiting the region. Have done for a number of years now. Still the best fish and chips in the south West.

The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. Hard hips and leathery batter. I ordered by phone and collected at 5.30. Very disappointing.

Really a beautiful experience in every way. The views are incredible, food is amazing, but the staff make it exceptional. We had a few booking issues so they were kind enough to squeeze us into Ogo instead of the Wild Cafe which is their fine dining restaurant. Just genuine, nice, kind people make all the difference to a dining experience. Really knowledgeable staff in the bar making the cocktails, and a Restaurant Manager who truly cares about the customer experience. As a chef I feel I must defend the food here after reading other reviews below. This restaurant is fine dining, that means the portions are exquisite, intensely flavoured dishes, using local produce, artisan producers and created by skilled chefs. It is intended for it to be an experience of culinary talent and flavour. Each dish is meant to be savoured and experienced fully. The different levels of flavour in the dishes we experienced were excellent. And I have been fortunate enough to visit many Michelin Star Restaurants in the UK and Europe. If you wish to 'gobble up' large portions of carbs/steak and seafood may I suggest you eat instead at the Wild Cafe upstairs instead, which is also excellent. If your pallette is not refined enough to appreciate high quality local Cornish ingredients which are exceptionally prepared then accept you would be better dining elsewhere. Its really not fair to criticise the food or the portion sizes. Its like going to the Ballet and expecting a game of Rugby. To anyone wishing to enjoy a wonderful dining experience, great views and lovely staff, then I would recommend visiting Ogo. I would love to come back soon.

We only had a few small snacks and it was greasy, fat and a little tasteless. Even the garlic bread was not cooked enough. It wasn’t for us this time
