Fountain and Ink in Southwark

This was my first visit and I’ll definitely be returning . Great service and delicious food!

The chicken burger was very stingy. I think the actual meat could have been deep fried wafer thin turkey ham it was that thin! I really don't know why they would economise so much on the amount of meat when they're charging £17 for a burger.... It tasted fine, but why so stingy Fountain & Ink ?

Stumbled upon this amazing pub for lunch! Best sandwich, burger and all. Molly was best waitress to help us choose! Such a great location for commuters close but far enough from all the Waterloo usual commuters places! Will recommend and come back!

Came in for an early dinner around 6pm, the food was sensational, I had I had the seabass, it was fantastic, also had the truffle mac n cheese, personally not enough cheese for me but It was still lovely ( and I'm greedy af soooo ) Massive shout Mataeo, Aron, & Adam. Looked after me superberbly! I'll be back with friends very soon!

Food is incredibly delicious. Staff is very friendly. Great music playing the background; not your usual music that you hear constantly. I ordered the Chef's Roast and received a variety of meats along with several vegetables. The food was amazing; however, I really enjoyed the steak. The chicken and pork belly were also good. My partner ordered the sea bass. I tasted that as well and definitely would order that again. Shin was crispy and perfectly prepared. All vegetables were cooked properly and the caramelized carrots were very tasty. The triple chocolate brownie and ice cream was a perfect dessert. Overall the portions are very generous. It's likely fine for most but, if you don't overeat, the main dishes could be shareable. Facilities were clean.

Organizar mi fiesta de cumpleaños en la Fuente y Tinta - el servicio era excelente, el personal era atento y muy amable. También pedimos comida, tanto la cena como los aperitivos, y la calidad era excelente. Sin duda recomiendo.

The food - at lunch at least, never eaten here in the evening - is really good, as are the drinks. They will give up on making cocktails when it’s really busy, which is a shame (even though a Negroni is relatively simple and quick, and even though they will still serve Guinness even though it takes about three days per pint). The one detraction is the desperate attempt to play music in the evenings, even though the place is heaving and people are already shouting to make themselves heard. Seriously people, no-one can actually hear *what* music is playing, it’s just adding to the decibel level and making people shout even louder. Utterly pointless, turn it off…

Great group outing, Molly and Mignon were fantastic organising and providing service ok the day. Everyone enjoyed the food platters.

The worst roast I've ever had. Everything was bland. Chicken was dry. I've never poured so much gravy over chicken in an attempt to make it edible, only to be disappointed with how bland the gravy was. Roast potatoes had a strange odd smell to it and was undercooked. Yorkshire puddings were also dry! I had to yank at it with my teeth. I gave up in the end. My friend fed my toddler some of their battered fish. After I had a try and I was shocked when I caught a whiff of it. It smelled bad! I hope my daughter doesn't get food poisoning. Such a shame as it was a well reviewed place. The atmosphere and space was lovely. I hope it was just an off day/period.

Un lugar muy agradable, acogedor y el personal era increíblemente servicial tanto antes del evento y durante para asegurarse de que nosotros y nuestros invitados estaban contentos. La única queja que tuvieron nuestros asistentes fue que la música era un poco demasiado alta, lo que hizo que a veces fuera difícil escucharnos, pero aparte de eso, una noche realmente buena.

We came for the bottomless Sunday roast, at £35pp. Food was fresh and delicious, with healthy portions and lots of sides options. We were well looked after by Josh and the team, all staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Came here for the second time did not disappoint. We ordered Sunday roast (corn fed chicken) cider on draft. I was looking forward to the honey cider by Gosnell sadly they've stopped this, I hope they come back it was delicious. The food is tasty, lovely service from Emily and Mignon thank you ladies, we will be back again kind hospitality and welcoming!

Lizzie was our server for the night here !! She was warm and friendly and made our experience 10 times better :)) - also highly recommend the aged beef steak !

The place was not too crowded but the music was quite loud anyway, we were hoping to talk without screaming but we couldn't. Staff members who served at our table was the cutest, that's what I enjoyed most of the place. My fried chicken burger was good and had a reasonable price. Toilets were very clean.

Nice pub in Southwark on way back home when catching train from Waterloo. Beer is always good and staff always friendly.

Went in for a drink and some food as we walked past it. Everything was really nice, pub looks great and Aaron really looked after us, thanks again man!

Nous sommes arrivés par hasard dans ce lieu en se baladant tout en cherchant un endroit pour dîner. Le lieu est parfait, le cadre est très jolis et l’accueil est chaleureux. Nous avons pris, œuf ecossais, Mac and cheese, calamar frits, et sticky toffee pudding. Tout étais parfait, meilleur restaurant du coin et de loin. Je recommande fortement et nous y retournerons avec plaisir !

We came for a post hen do Sunday roast dinner and this did not disappoint. The service from Lizzie was fantastic throughout and she really went the extra mile to make sure we had a good afternoon. The food was excellent, we even squeezed some puddings in and the brownie was a big group favourite. Would definitely recommend!

Best roast beef I’ve had in a LONG time. All the sides were amazing (and bottomless). We were a large group but the service was fab throughout thanks to Lizzie. Would highly recommend.

De hecho, espero con ansias mi próxima visita. No te decepcionarás. Si solo todos los pubs y restaurantes fueran así de buenos para el almuerzo del domingo. Gracias a todo el personal.

We had the bottomless roast, which delivered on both quality and quantity! Everything on the plate was excellent and our waitress (Mollie) was really accommodating and made sure that we got our moneys worth. Would definitely return

Pretty much stumbled across this place today and happy we did. Food was great. Especially impressed with the chicken as I would honestly say 9/10 pubs give you dry chicken but this place the chicken was cooked perfectly and moist. Also the Guinness was good. Molly and also the young blond lady that served us were very attentive and friendly. Although the place was a little spenny (expected around central London) I would totally recommend this place for a quiet Sunday roast.

The bar staff were managing a big group for our private event - we were well looked after, they were very organised and had great communication throughout the night. The bar staff were knowledgeable and made great recommendations and the food was great

It is a pub so a bit loud. Fish and chips were outstanding and the home made hot sauce excellent with the fish. The server Luca was attentive and provided the best recommendation for starters. Highly recommend.

SUNDAY BOTTOMLESS ROASTS! 🔥 🔥 Always been a good vibe but as a Sunday roast lover… i had to try the bottomless and be critical. Amazing portions, very flexible on what you want topping up. I didn’t have to finish my potatoes to get more and more chicken and then beef instead of chicken! There is no bottomless place like that around here (tried all the roasts around this area, lived here for 5 years). Would deffo recommend. Make sure you’re hungry!

The fish and chips and signature brew is one of my favorite combos! I'm only in town for a month with friends but the bartender Aaron has made us feel so welcoming it has been great!

The best roast dinner I’ve ever had in a pub & I’ve had plenty!! Every element was absolutely perfect, all 3 meats were amazing, proper crispy potatoes & lots of perfect veg , 10 out of 10 , and the staff are lovely as well They do a bottomless roast, if you go for that don’t have breakfast!!! Highly, highly recommended

We went on a Thursday not knowing it was their busiest night, didn't take reservations. Menu was upscale, atmosphere was pub. GREAT service and excellent food. Kuddos to Matt and his manager.

Great spot to watch England play in the Euro 2024. We arrived hours before the match to get a table. The staff was attentive and helpful regarding food allergies . The trout with asparagus and new potatoes was delicious! Great cider and a lively crowd! The chips were not crispy, though they were “triple fried “ . As a yank, I prefer potatoes sliced thin and fried so they’re crispy.

Brilliant pub, local to my place of work. Super attentive staff whom are friendly and eager to help in anyway they can. The food never disappoints and they serve my favourite peach beer, so what's not to love.

We ate dinner here yesterday. John was our server and he was wonderful. He was patient and so helpful as it was our first meal in London. Food was delicious, big portions, awesome music and great service.

Amazing food and a selection of vegetarian friendly options, only downside is that the establishment is card only… I recommend it, great place and atmosphere for lunch :)

Popped in for a bite. My server Molly was great! Answered all my questions and even made some recommendations based on what I ordered. She was quite knowledgable about spirits and local beers. I felt the price was well worth the quality or food and service. This would be a regular lunch or after work spot if I was a local.

I didn’t order any food here so really can’t rate the food. While I was here I ordered bloody Mary’s and a cider both were really good. I believe the drink prices here are pretty fair for London. The bartenders that work here were really great especially when it came to service. In fact I think they were best bartenders I have had in London. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area. Highly recommended.

Good pub in the centre of London. We enjoyed our fish and chips, halloumi fries and calamari. Staff were very friendly. Food was on the pricier side but fair for central London.

Ordering food was a nightmare. Waitress told us to wait five minutes then ignored us and refused to make eye contact for over ten minutes. When I told a different bartender I was trying to order nachos, he also went to speak to someone else and then they started conversing between themselves about if they even did nachos. Must've taken about 20 minutes to finally be able to order them and they weren't even that good.

Ordering food was a nightmare. Bartender told me she'll take my payment for nachos in 5 mins. Ten minutes later I was still being ignored by the staff then they weren't even sure if they served nachos. After much faffing I finally was able to pay for my order. Thanks to the incompetence of the staff we will not be returning.

Just the Sunday roast I was looking for!

This pub was really busy on the Tuesday evening I visited. It took a while to get served but the crowd added to the atmosphere.

Fabulous food, great menu, brilliant service. Fun and welcoming atmosphere. Spotlessly clean. Excellent location as going to see a show at Southbank Centre.

Dit is een prima zaak. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, lekker eten en normale prijzen. Wij hadden een hamburger, die smaakte prima. Zeer aan te bevelen.

Staff were lovely, food fine however we booked to watch the rugby and were given a terrible table with distant views of the screen. Most Screens are small with tables too far away (even when they moved us it was not much better - a poor place to go watch a sporting event)

Good choice of beers and great service. Gets rammed after 5, especially on a Thursday. Good atmosphere but the music is a bit too loud
