I don t even want to give any stars. The food was never delivered by just eat. Terrible service by the business itself, non helpful. Driver, not speaking English surely needs to be a requirement. He got mad, told me in broken English cancel your order. So the Chinese is out of pocket, they get a bad review, we still hungry but the driver carries on.

Ordered food which eventually arrived 45 minutes late. Refused to apologise properly or recompense me for the inconvenience!

All the food had a very strong, distinct smell of stale cigarettes and I had to throw it all out. Definitely won't order from here again

Terrible food quality! Ordered for delivery. It arrived covered completely in grease! Opened up the food and plated up. Firstly how can boiled rice be oily? We did not end up eating the rices, barely any of the 3 portions of noodles and we didn’t eat a whole curry sauce as well as the 2 portions of chicken balls. We all are gutted as we spent a lot of money( maybe not to others but to us) around £60 on this. So now we’re snacking on crisps from the cupboard because we couldn’t eat our ordered food and I won’t ever be eating from here again. I wish they could come pick all the food up we haven’t eaten and refund us!

I know it’s New Year’s Eve but I ordered very early in the evening and it still took almost 2 hours to arrive. Cold and burnt. Seaweed and ribs tasted just of oil, black bean chicken was inedibly spicy and had an odd tang to it, I won’t be ordering again. First and last time.

Ordered a delivery via Just Eat and it arrived within the hour as promised (we live locally in Epsom). We were impressed with the portions and the food was very tasty! I was very pleased that the tofu (bean curd) was delicious - had a kind of creamy flavour to it. Lemon chicken was apparently very nice too. Enjoyed the crispy seaweed too.

Just had a very nice meal came quickly was hot and fresh. Singapore rice noddle with meat duck with pinaple _ pancake rolls _ sweet and sour chicken balls. Also came with free crackers. We really enjoyed the meal and for £20 a bargain.

The chef needs to wash his hands before cooking. If you order from fortune cookie, you might be fortunate enough for something extra. I found curly hair in my Thai green curry today. Judging the size and shape of it, yes I can tell it is pubic hair. I also understand mandarin, so when I called to complain to the staff, I heard the staff explain the situation to the owner in mandarin and I heard the background conversations from the owner, it is not apologetic at all. They quickly hang up the phone because phones are ringing. Sorry as a long term customer, I think this will be the last time we order from them, they just lost 5 other long term customers in the process.

Really no idea where all these bad reviews have come from. I have been ordering from here for the past 5 years and never disappointed. Great choices on the menu, ordered it then it arrives half an hour later, clean crisp and delicious

Fabulous impromptu take away. Very tasty food which was fresh and piping hot. Delicious and delivered on time. Couldn't fault it.

The food is served incredibly quick with a very good quality of service. The food itself is tasty and you get bonuses with a bigger order. Ordering from them once a month for more than a year and it never tasted bad. Its always hot and fresh.

Extremely hit or miss. the vegetable spring rolls were the only thing i genuinely enjoyed. other than that, the chicken and sweetcorn soup is tasteless, along with the special fried rice. the chicken balls tasted off. extremely tiny portions as well. delivery was quick, however we ordered ahead by 3 hours. £60 to eat flavourless rubber? yeah, wouldn’t recommend ordering from here again. go to somewhere you trust rather than trying this place out .

Oily, tasteless and the free prawn crackers were stale. Happy to support local businesses but does respect your customers.

First time I've ordered from here. Very disappointed chicken was chewy chicken satay very watery. Never again. Since eating it, I've been physically sick. I've not been able to eat anything since then and was feeling fine b4 eat from here. Please don't risk being as ill as I have. Order somewhere else. Stick to what you know.

Please don’t use this restaurant. Was ordering from them every week via Deliveroo. As soon as there was an issue ( no delivery) I called them and the phone was put down on me.

I have been a customer of Fortune Cookie for a few years now. But was so shocked at how much there prices have jumped up. Also the food was not so good as it had always been , There’s no way I’m using them again because it seems such a high jump in there prices.

Ordered at 19.15 expected delivery at 20.35, 21.00 chased order expected delivery now 21.15...after waiting 30 minutes called again and got told another 20 minutes so cancelled order.

0* would of been kind .. 3 hrs wait time .. save your money and time. Always order from this place but won’t ever again. Staff member lied constantly about where the order was .. do not order from here!!

Ordered food via Just Eat at 18:20hrs, delivery time offered 20:30hrs but food arrived at 22:45hrs on New Years Eve, kid's gone to bed and missed their treat, couldn't get through to the shop on the phone, refused the food as over 2hrs 30min late...…. wouldn't use again.

Order never arrived, wouldn't answer a request for a text message update and their number was constantly busy yet they had the nerve to flag the food as ''delivered'' on just eat. Disgusting service and clearly scam artists. Will never use again.

I ordered a meal for myself and my partner as a treat for her lunch. It was ordered at 12pm and we were advised it might take an hour. Then we were advised it would be another 15 minutes. It didn't turn up til about 2.10pm by which point my partner had left, very disappointed. No apology was offered and when I asked for one I got no response to my requests. AVOID!

Ordered a take away via Deliveroo after 11pm. Order was with us within 25mins. Very nice, tasty beef & black bean with rice. Would order again.

ordered takeaway on sat 05.09.20 from lucky house via deliveroo to find out that it is the same place a fortune cookie. order arrived 15 mins late cold and request for extra hoisin sauce not recognised also dishes were watery with very little flavour most of the food when straight in the bin. deliveroo was kind enough to give credit for half the money. called up to restaurant to be told it cant be cold asked if there could sort out for me bear in mind is 2 min drive from my home was told I needed to go back to deliveroo. This is the first time I've used this Chinese takeaway and the last. After reading other reviews this place needs to improve or closed down. total waste of money.

Turned up in 15 minutes from deliveroo. Bit suspicious. Noodles were like mush and stuck together. Utter rubbish. Avoid. Zero stars. Definitely a microwave job 🤢

This has to be the worst takeaway Experience in the area. It took over 2 hours to arrive, we were constantly told the food had left even though it obviously had not, when it finally arrived it was Warm at best, we live a 3 minute drive from the restaurant. The food itself is very poor, the ribs were dry and flavourless, soup was like water and all of the portions did not even fill the plastic containers that they came in even when over half of the tub has been filled with bean shoots. I have no idea how this business remains open!

Being using for years.but after latest food order really disappointed. Found ANT in sweet and sour sauce. Rang to let them know and was told it must be a bean. Have posted picture can clearly see it is an ANT.

Ordered a delivery at 630pm and was told maximum an hour, by 8pm, no food. So tried calling, phone constantly engaged, had to drive down there at 830 to find they taken phone off the hook. Over 2 hours since ordering, demanded a refund as I had to go down there after waiting so long, which they eventually gave me but took the food away. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE, WORST WORST WORST TAKEAWAY SERVICE I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS, DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE. Customer service at its worst

Order arrived early but that about the only good thing I can say. They use a fake name on Deliveroo and call themselves lucky house. I had the vegetarian spring rolls which were all pastry and no filling the deep fried prawns I had smelt odd almost like nail polish remover and also tasted quite weird too and some parts were soft and some parts where rock solid and like cardboard. The special boiled rice just had this really strange thick coating of gravy which was also like jelly and the meat was so dry and chewy . Even the prawn crackers where disgusting tasted like wet chewy cardboard. Wouldn’t order again not worth wasting £15 on

This was inedible. The "crispy" duck was full of fat, the prawns were raw in the middle and the beef was just disgusting. Took one bite of everything and then couldn't eat anymore because I was pretty sure I would get food poisoning. Vile!

LUCKY HOUSE on Deliveroo!! Under a fake name to cover their awful service! Food is bland and tasteless. Delivery took almost 2 hours so was cold on arrival. Egg fried rice had no egg, Tofu was prepackaged rubbish you can buy in supermarkets in Chinatown NOT fresh as it should be. Would not recommend.

Dear food place I order a Chinease for delivery, after waiting 2 and half hours for delivery it was awful! The food was to such a poor standard! The chow mien was basically not eatable! And the sweet and sauce had more water than Niagara falls! I will never be using this place again! Totally unprofessional and unbelievable that they are still trading! Thanks crying now!

the food was horrendous. the chow mein was so bland and plain. the chicken balls had no chicken and was mainly batter. the spring rolls tasted awful and the prawn crackers were soft as if they had been left over night before given. we also had to wait 25 mins longer than the time we were actually told. they changed their name on deliveroo to the "lucky house" so their reviews seem better however if you search the address, its the same as fortune cookie. dont order from here!!!

I ordered food to be delivered. It was disappointing although friendly staff! The house special friend rice didn't have any big meat in it, the prawn satay was a watery gravy and even the banana fritters was bland.(Not sweet). Unless, chinese food has changed over the last few years during which I haven't ordered a takeaway, I think a house special should have special mixed meat and veg and Satay sauce should be thick and fritters come with syrup-or be made sweet! Overall food was just sloppy although glad the delivery still came with prawn crackers!! Sorry, but awful quality of food! My toddler rushed to the toilet soon after diner!!!

Been waiting 100 minutes for our order on a Tuesday night. They close at 23:00 so at least we know it should arrive by 23:30.

I was lucky Enough to be offered 2 tickets for Centre Court at Wimbledon. I took me youngest son who was extremely excited about the day. We Stayed PI across the road on the Sunday Evening & Purchased a Chinese from the Fortune Cookie. The next day my son was so I'll, he made it to Centre Court but had to leave due to constantly throwing up due to the food. This place should investigated by the Health and safety. So annoying

I was surprised to see a Chinese take away offering such affordable prices for their food, I was not expecting the best quality of food considering it’s a 2 star. However I was surprised by the friendliness of the delivery guy and the food was brilliant! Will definitely be ordering again.

Food is ok reasonably priced however have ordered several times and almost every time the order is wrong. Waited almost two hours for our food tonight only for the order to turn up wrong. No apology or offer of compensation. Terrible customer service

Disgusting food ,no chicken whatsoever ,and when requested refund denied,until I mentioned Trading Standards,had frozen food . Eventually a man arrived extremely aggressive,and verbally abusive ,all on cctv,reluctantly gave our money back when I returned food uneaten. No one eat from them .

We got confirmation of our order at 19:30, due to arrive at 20:35 which was okay as it was a Saturday night. However when it got to 21:10 and food hadn’t arrived even though it had “left”, it became unacceptable. Worst experience ever and never received food, utterly embarrassing for the restaurant and should be ashamed. DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

Quoted 1 hour for delivery, after 1 and half hours I rung to chase ......told it would be 5 minutes. after another 20 minutes i rung and they put the phone down on me. After 2 hours still no food so drove to shop to get refund. Chef told me he was very busy and I not the only one that want food !!!!! Pathetic - do not use !

We ordered with a delivery time of 1 hours but by the time we got the order it had been over 2 hrs. Rang up a couple of times to be told it was going to be there any minute even though it was still no where near.

Made the mistake of ordering from here. After TWO hours my order hadn’t arrived and I called the restaurant. The gentleman I spoke to had no customer service skills and fobbed me off basically saying ‘it will be there soon’. After waiting again I called back and he hung up on me, I don’t usually leave reviews but I felt it a must. I would never order from here again. Utter shambles.

Food arrived over 30 minutes late - when I chased up on the phone, eventually got a mumbled apology, no explanation. Food was not fresh - the pork balls contained some sort of processed meat substance, rest of the food had a greyish, decrepit quality. Easily the worst Chinese meal I've ever experienced - AVOID!

I really hope you like waiting for ages. If you do like growing old whilst waiting on your egg fried rice, then this is the place for you! We had to cancel the order when an hour and a half went by.

I am not a fussy eater so I was genuinely gobsmacked when I set eyes on my order. Now, presentation isn’t everything but it even tasted awful. The vegetable spring roll was just greasy and about 60% batter, I didn’t know there was a sweet chilli sauce that terrible to go with it. My Beef Thai Green Curry was covered in what looked like snotty water with no vegetables at all.

I ordered the smoked crispy chicken but what I collected was fried sugar with batter... really poor amount of chicken pieces, very thin, and way to much sugar...... there’s no need for sugar in this dish....

After a hard day's work I felt like a Chinese takeaway as a treat. The delivery didn't take too long but on unpacking the bag we realised it wasn't our order, we called the restaurant who said they would phone the driver, he came back where we did a straight swap but by this time the food was cold. Order online bill was £39.80 but was overcharged £41.80 on delivery.

Don’t bother ordering here, barely any ingredients in their dishes. Ordered 2 special fried rice. Barely any meat, barely any vegetable. Essentially was just plain rice with atoms of meat thrown in. I could count how many peas was in the rice. Called them to ask for refund or another meal and they were extremely unhelpful. Order your Chinese somewhere else.

We have used the Fortune Cookie as our preferred take-a-way for over 10 years. We find the food is excellent particularly the duck, crispy fried beef and chicken and cashew nuts. Delivery is excellent.

Tuvimos una comida para llevar china desde aquí anoche. Las bolas de cerdo tenía un montón de cerdo en ellas y no era un bloque de duro de digerir el cerdo como en la mayoría de otros lugares de China para llevar que pedimos desde antes que esta. Incluso nos dieron gratis rollos de primavera de verduras, que era bonito y la comida llegó más rápido de lo que el hombre le dijo (el tipo de teléfono en el teléfono dijo que vendria en 45 minutos pero llegó en 25 minutos).

Always a good takeaway. Would be improved if the sweet and sour sauce was thickened, its too watery.

Había carne en un rollo de primavera, Vegetariana muy molesto para la persona que poco.. El resto de la comida también era horrible, nadie podía comer más de un bocado de las comidas era todo tan grasienta y desagradable. Si sólo una cosa estaba mal lo que escribió, pero cada cosa era horrorosa así el examen.

Pedimos de galleta de la fortuna, ya que no podía llegar a través de nuestro lugar habitual. La comida era repugnante, arroz pegadas, salsa dulce y amarga parecía brilla en la oscuridad, toda la comida era muy mala calidad y no sabor agradable. Ya que estábamos celebrando un cumpleaños lo dejamos ir pero nunca volver

Nos detuvimos y recoger comida para llevar en nuestro camino a casa. Me sorprendió lo muchos guindillas había seccionado en mi plato, teniendo en cuenta que sólo mostró un 1 para hotness en el menú. El huevo despedido arroz era un poco seca y el cerdo era un poco duro, pero en general la comida era buena.

Kung po pollo probado escalfados, fideos con Bean brotar- no podría encontrar el Bean brotar y los fideos aspecto y sabor fideos instantáneos. Me dio pelotas de cerdo, en lugar de pollo, eran como balas y la salsa parecía radiactivas. Una pena, porque la comida era excelente hace unos años. Sin duda no vamos a volver.

got a takeaway from them last night and had to send it back as my order was raw yes thats right they sent me a piece of raw duck it was awful i spent 10 mins on phone with them discribing raw good even had to spell it then i spent the night in the bathroom never order from them and if you do ask them to cook it that place has put me and my family off that place for good
